TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS
ABRSM’s recommended tempo for this piece is 112 bpm although a little looseness in tempo will most likely suit this style, as it needs to sound calm and relaxed and not too metronomic.
A good Legato touch is necessary throughout and use of the sustain pedal might work well in places, but be very carful not to overdo it! Give careful consideration of the numerous ralls. which occur throughout the piece. Also watch out for the Molto meno mosso (much less rapid) at bars 29-36. Also watch out for ‘Allegro con brio’ (Fast, with vigour!) on the final few bars. Dynamics are straightforward.

I'll be doing the Grade 6 later this year. The piece doesn't have any pedal markings, but like you, my teacher thinks some pedal would be useful. Do you have any more specific tips?

@@Gryffster my teacher told me having pedal in bars 33-36 and bars 41-44 would be nice. I hold the pedal down and lift it up until the next bar
