Loved the episode. You two are a diamond for the Mexico Travel Bureau. Did you bring a scale 😂. I suspect eating will be a sub-plot of this trip. I enjoy seeing you two cooking and expressing your joy of cooking/eating ❤.
Good video, its been about 30 years since we camped down there just south of SAN FELIPE,i believe its called PORTA CITO .a developed area to build PALAPAS, mostly AMERICANS ,lots of beach vehicles riding around. our friends place there had a VW bus an bikes. Lots of party places beach bars etc. LOL not for me. Also lots of area for naturists to skinny-dip etc . Be careful an just enjoy your trip down there. lots of snow in BC,it will be there when you get home.
The wife and I visited my family 8 years ago in San Felipe and loved it. We saved up money and purchased a home in El Dorado Ranch 18 months ago....can't wait to have enough to retire in the next few years and snowbird it between Seattle and San Felipe.
Hahaha you should see all the BC license plates here at Verdugos in Los Barriles.. it's like we never left home. We're almost complete, we have friends coming down in January from Surrey and then the whole gang will be here.. Pickle ball & kite boarding... BTW try the chili roleno... you won't be disappointed...
I have to come across your videos by watching another video (let’s just go traveling) on traveling into Baja I realize that the restaurant that you’re eating at las caguamas that I know the proprietor of that restaurant pretty well…
Hi! Here is the link to the site on iOverlander: ioverlander.com/places/145453-by-the-sea Definitely take the time to walk this spot out before parking. When we were there there were several deep sandy bits and a couple of vehicles got stuck. Happy camping!
Hi! Baja RV Haven is the small RV park we mentioned, and Brad is the owner. He's great and you can find info on their facebook page here: facebook.com/BajaRVHaven/
Hi! We found a spot on iOverlander just north of town. After meeting some of the other campers on the beach we felt comfortable enough to ask them to keep an eye on our rig while we ran to get groceries or to have lunch out. We did the same for them, which made it feel like a little community for the couple of days we were there. We also have security cameras and lights on our rig that we can check on remotely.
Hi Melissa, we can report that our travels in Baja so far have felt safe and that we've had positive interactions with everyone we've met. Having said that, everyone has a different experience when traveling and has a different comfort level. We would never encourage someone to travel solo if they aren't sure that they are ready for it.
Thank you for the info. People think I'm crazy for traveling from the Pacific Northwest to Florida since it's such a long distance. But Florida has become too crowed and inundated with Northeasterners. The state park campgrounds are booked out a year in advance to last minute travelers like myself don't stand a chance. I also find Florida to not be very dog friendly. Baja seems more laid back and I would prefer to spend my money on people that really need and appreciate it. Thank you again and safe travels!!!
Wow !
Thanks hats so awesome…!
We leave for the Baja in two weeks , after watching these we just can’t wait !!!
Awesome! Maybe we'll see you on the beach somewhere. Hope you have a safe drive down!

Haha, we almost brought a scale and then didn't have the room! It will have to be a mystery until we get back 😂
Thanks for posting, your missing the Vancouver snow ! It’s -10 C here today hahahahaa.
🥶🥶🥶🥶

I love the video!! Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks! We're having a blast down here 🙂
Awesome! I do NOT like cilantro and it doesn't like me. Looks like a spot we would like to visit.
It's worth checking out!
Your trip looks amazing so far. Great content and story line, thank you for sharing. Cheers
We are having an awesome time! Can't wait to see more!

We definitely saw lots of Canadians and Americans around in San Felipe. Lots of folks buying lots and building homes.

Congratulations! That sounds like a wonderful plan. From what we saw El Dorado Ranch has a lot to offer. Enjoy!

That's awesome! We've run into so many Canadians too! Even from as far as Ontario!
Thanks for the food suggestion!
Great tutorial video for the rest of us that want to RV in Mexico 😊👍
Thanks 😀 There's lots more to come as we continue to spend the winter down in Baja.
I wondered early in the video when you dipped that chip into the salsa at the restaurant if you knew how spicy it is!
😂😂😂 we're not in Canada anymore, where the salsa at the table is pretty mild in comparison 😅
We always eat tacos de huevos a la mexicana! Haha. Really nice video! See you soon guys! 😊
We tried it with the machaca today for lunch and it was delicious 😋 Thank you for helping me find it!
Nice video!
Thanks, camping in Baja is such an amazing experience!
Can’t find the friend’s channel to check out the drone footage!
Hi Sara, sorry about that. Here is the link to Let's Just Go Travel: youtube.com/@LetsJustGoTravel
Hope you enjoy their content!
Hola from San Felipe retiree from NY
Hola! What a great place to retire to. Enjoy some fish tacos for us!
Thanks for the shoutout guys! Hope to catch up with you again soon :)
Our pleasure! Hope we cross paths again further south!
Watch out for sting rays in the shallow water, drag your feet while walking to scare them.
Yes, very important to do the stingray shuffle on the beaches here! Thanks for the reminder 😀
A good taco holding technique is to put your hand over it instead of under it. Great video.
Great tip! From now on we will be adopting the overhanded taco eating technique 😁

small world! We enjoyed the fish tacos at Las Caguamas. Nice and crisp batter and they had so many toppings to put on them.
Mmmm fish tacos.......
Cilantro 🤢🤢🤢🤢
Oh, does it taste like soap to you?
@@HomeARoam I haven’t tried eating soap in since I was 3, so not too sure! It’s nasty stuff though!
😂😂
can you share the gps coordinates for the beach spot found on iOverlander? thanks

What is the name of the RV Park in San Felipe? Website? Thanks!!!

Where did you camp? Do you leave your stuff there and go to buy groceries or restaurant?

Can you comment if you have felt unsafe at any point or place. I'm a single female (with 2 big dogs) and was considering heading down that way in Jan.
