When I see these 2 Grand Masters, I think of them as Uncle Yasser and brother Maurice. They are so likable and knowledgeable and passionate about our beloved game. Would love to meet them some day!

I wish more talks like these are made. Yasser's knowledge on the zeitgeist of chess during different eras is really deep though

They perfectly described Tal. Goes to show how much the man has contributed to the game.

Tal is the one player from the 20th century whom Morphy would've praised.

Yasser has the nicest voice of any chess player currently in existence.

“A Cyborg interview with a vampire”
All jokes aside I’m a huge fan of these guys, tal especially.

2 years ago when Kasparov said that Carlsen and Karjakin belong to different categories, Seirawan started laughing loudly, and said "that's a good description". I wonder does he think the same about Carlsen - Caruana???

Karjakin hasn't really had any great results since 2016 (when he was the challenger). Not by the standards of world champion material. He didn't even qualify for another candidates tournament. Caruana seems to be holding stronger, but I'm pretty sure he won't be the one to dethrone Carlsen. I think the next world champion isn't among the current top 10 players.

@@vibovitold3 years past, and you were partially right. As for december 2021 and december 2022, Ding was #2 and #3. But in december 2022, Gukesh wasn't among the top 10 yet. Of course, Carlssen wasn't "dethroned". Anyways, Gukesh has a good chance to be the next champion not in the 2022 top 10 you were predicting.
