Grandmasters Yasser Seirawan and Maurice Ashley discuss the World Chess Championships 1960-61 between Mikhail Botvinnik and Mikhail Tal. USChessChamps.com
When I see these 2 Grand Masters, I think of them as Uncle Yasser and brother Maurice. They are so likable and knowledgeable and passionate about our beloved game. Would love to meet them some day!
Two of the most remarkable players of all-time. Chess history is so rich! There are just so many exciting and unique players, and so many great games! I want to make videos covering Botvinnik in the future, but it’s going to take me quite some time to finish my Capablanca video series.
2 years ago when Kasparov said that Carlsen and Karjakin belong to different categories, Seirawan started laughing loudly, and said "that's a good description". I wonder does he think the same about Carlsen - Caruana???
Karjakin hasn't really had any great results since 2016 (when he was the challenger). Not by the standards of world champion material. He didn't even qualify for another candidates tournament. Caruana seems to be holding stronger, but I'm pretty sure he won't be the one to dethrone Carlsen. I think the next world champion isn't among the current top 10 players.
A partir de la llegada de Kasparov a la cima del ajedrez es que se ha logrado una mayor justucia en cuanto a las oportunidades de los pretendientes al titulo maximo. Aunque todaavia queda por perfeccionar.

i know I am kind of off topic but does anyone know of a good place to stream newly released movies online?
@Rory Cayson i use Flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
Tal was the ronaldhino of chess! Pretty awesome!
HA! I can see that actually !
Ronaldinho was tal of football
Tal was Ramanujan of Chess or Ramanujan was Tal of Mathematics, whatever you prefer
I wish more talks like these are made. Yasser's knowledge on the zeitgeist of chess during different eras is really deep though
That room is perfect for a conversation: the lighting, the chairs, the table...
Quantum Chaos is the perfect definition of Misha Tal. What a player!!
They perfectly described Tal. Goes to show how much the man has contributed to the game.
“A Cyborg interview with a vampire”
All jokes aside I’m a huge fan of these guys, tal especially.

Yasser has the nicest voice of any chess player currently in existence.
And the biggest smile!
I could listen to those gentlemen for hours
YEAH BABY!
Push 'em baby!

Tal is my favourite player too
Good!
De la era pre Kasparov parece ser que Steinitz fue el mas desinteresado, en acceder a poner en riesgo la corona.
Yasser looks a bit like Benicio Del Toro. One hell of a player too...
El rival mas peligroso que tuvo Botvinnik, ademas de la edad, parece ser Bronstein, en la decada de los 50
6 dislikes..................Why?
Dang. Tal gives me hope that even a drunk can play this game.

Tal played a Bot
before bots were invented
And of course his name was BOTvinnik
please take out the blue label
whoever said Maurice don't got no neck???
maurice, please this is not how to do an interview. let the guest speak and finish before you say whatever you know about what he is about to say
Agreed. Yasser was about to say something about Tal's sickness and what it meant to the match, and Maurice wouldn't shut up.
so who is the guest and who is the host? very bad interview
Loooooooooool.
it is a conversation, not an interview
