I miss the Christmas decor but I took everything red down and kept all the greenery, tree, wreaths and my mantle garland with all the white lights! It looks so warm and cozy with the snow and kinda extends Christmas without it looking like Christmas if that makes sense! In a couple weeks I’ll replace the wreaths with hearts! I need color and Valentine’s gives me the red I’m missing from Christmas! ♥️🤗
My small trees with just the clear lights are still up in our home. The fireplace mantle still has small pine trees on it with the clear light. We (my husband and I ) really like the lights in the winter. We have a lot of snow outside right now so it goes with the outside. And I have a few (13) of the luminara candles on timers so they click on around 5:30 in the evening. 😊
I actually embrace and enjoy the simplicity of winter after all the many bins of Christmas decor are away. I leave out some greenery and these pretty ceramic snowflakes on my shelves. Candles and cozy pillows and blankets and I'm good for January. I do some sweet Valentine decorating next month. Your home looks beautiful! ❤
I love the green things and all of the neutral in your kitchen for winter. I have my home decorated in blue and white for winter. I don't decorate for Valentine's Day so mid February my Saint Patrick's Day decor goes up for a month and then Easter. I'm tired after all of the Christmas decor take down so I'm doing things in a minimal style and then after Easter it's back to normal for the spring and summer. I think leaving your green up was a very good idea and I like the new glasses!❄
Your videos always make me smile! I decorate for Winter as in Wisconsin we have snow through mid-April or so. Lots of twinkling lights, little trees, and snowmen in my house.
There are so many natural supplements to take to get your thyroid in check. Once you start prescription thyroid meds you never get off of them. My Mom has been taking them since her late 40’s and still taking them and she’s 70. The prescription isn’t a cure it just masks the problem. I went the supplement route and I’ve never had any issues with mine. Hope you and your family are having a great new year! ❤
Hi, glad to see you in a new video. After Christmas I decorate for winter with dark green and white. It’s so calming, especially since I still use lights and timer candles !
My Christmas decor is packed away. I have minimal decor with green trees & snowflakes to celebrate the foot of snow we have with more to come! Your home is just lovely!
Crystal, I loved your video (I always do! ❤) and you decorated your kitchen and dining area beautifully. Your home is sooo cozy and inviting! ❤ I took Christmas 🎄 down on New Years Day, and just put my everyday decor back out, including a couple of small flower arrangements out. I couldn't wait for spring, I'm a flower-aholic and HAVE to have flowers around! In moderation, of course! 😂 I think everyone should just decorate our homes however makes us happy. I'm 74, a great grandma, live alone, so I just decorate however I want. 😂❤
I keep my winter decor to simple and cozy since we are coming off of the holidays. I use these months to plan out the year, get things organized and do some decluttering.
I am not surprised that you wanted a break from decorating. You made your home look stunning during the Christmas holiday. I think you deserve the break. Enjoy the calming winter days.❤
Hi Crystal, I am a minimalist by nature. I only decorate for Fall and Christmas. I am watching you clean and I need to be doing the same. I got a new vacuum and I will be giving it a work out this afternoon. Have a great weekend.❤️
Hello Crystal!!! Happy New Year 😊 l like that you left some trees and green items out in your kitchen!!! It is winter so it's nice to decorate for it. Too early for spring decorating!! I do decorate for winter and love it!!! Looking forward to see you decorate for winter in your living room!!! Until then take care and God bless friend 🙏 😊❤
Love your videos mu absolute favorite! After Christmas I just do everyday decor minimal i decorate a little for valentines and Easter but nothing major!
I like to pare down my decor after Christmas to let my house breathe for a couple months. I do still leave out some winter greens, a few potted trees here and there, pine cones, a few deer antlers, a few snowflakes, and this year a brought in some copper. I have normally used copper in my Fall decor, but I’m loving copper for winter
I’m have trouble getting going full speed too. This Christmas felt huge and I’ve needed recovery time. I totally get having a slow 2025 start! I can’t bring myself to decorating right after Christmas. A few things stay up all year but apart from that, I’m kind of over a lot of decor for a while. I’m definitely not into Spring right away as much as I like Spring decor in season. I am really liking the greens you’re using. They look great! Thanks for your videos Crystal!! I always look forward to them! I just kinda like you, girl! 😊
Hi Crystal, I like to put out my everyday decor after Christmas. Then I decorate for Easter, then fall, Christmas. Then the cycle starts over again. It’s good to do a little deep cleaning after Christmas since so much is cleared out. Your home looks great! I like your glass see-through cabinets for displaying decor. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Crystal. I haven't decorated for winter in the past but I'm giving it a dry. Its a nice idea. Thanks for the ideas. Like you, I look forward to the holiday take down and having a calmer space.
Yes I just want to clean my home and just let it be I don’t want to rush into anything else for now. I just want to focus on minimum decor. Prioritize more on just getting into every room and cleaning. That just feels so good 😊 we just need to pace ourselves. We all tend to be so critical of ourselves sometimes. Let’s all support each other here❤️
Your kitchen and dining area are lovely. It feels good after the holidays to refresh and embrace some cozy slower living. I use soft greens and creamy colors. It is time for Wintering.
Hi Crystal still got main tree up and Norfolk pine garlands some fairy lights and a few ceramic trees up, I don’t like January evenings as gets dark early so it’s nice to still have that cosy feel with the pretty lights. Rest of house now feels bare as it’s all been packed away. So now I’m on a declutter mission as I do at the start of January not that my house is cluttered it just the usual go through clothes, makeup and a few cupboards, and outdated items. I’m paying for everyone who’s been affected by the fires in America it’s heartbreaking. Have a great weekend xx
I do the same as you after taking down Christmas stuff. I left some of my vases with cedar/fir branches and brought the houseplants back out. Looking forward to spring, however I'll enjoy the cozy at home days till then.
Crystal this is off subject, but you mentioned smaller print on the piano. I started to order 2 prints ( etsy ) the same size but different seasons that way I can just open the back of the frame and switch out the print. I also thrift most of my frames, all they take is a toothbrush and denatured alcohol to make them look new. 😊
The pancakes looked really good.I keep decor pretty simple after the holidays.I have jobs around the house that nobody else would know I cleaned aka the fridge, oven.I live in Wisconsin so I'll think spring in a few months.Have a great day
Hi Crystal, love your videos. They always make my day happier and more positive. I am also a mom of four: three girls (twin 3y.o.) and a lovely, lonely boy:). About the decor - I find it funny, because where I live we keep our Christmas decor till the 2nd of February and then... just your normal life jumps in. I do cherish the lights very much. I love the red bits in your decor. Best wishes
I went from Christmas straight into Valentine's then I’ll do St. Patrick’s and after March 17th I’ll put up spring. Till the end of May then it will be patriotic and summer/beach till labor day September.
I just took trees down on Wednesday. There are a few stray items. I like a few things up for winter. But as soon as March hits I like to put spring out. I miss the festive Christmas brings. I may for Valentine's I may put out a bit of stuff out. but I won't go nuts. I like the little pops of green you've scattered around. I leave a bit of white trees & snowmen out and a few little green trees. I still may put out some fairy lights I like the glow they bring. great video! You accomplished a lot. And starting out with a clean slate is good.
I personally go for the minimal look after taking down all of the Christmas decorations. It’s nice to have my home somewhat back to normal again. I do have SOME Winter decor, but not anything too colorful. I also stick to neutral colors and greenery. I have had hypothyroidism since I was 20 years old, and( take levothyroxine once a day. Your kitchen looks great! I love that cozy corner in the dining room!!! ❤
Yes I do winter decor…Whites, some reds ♥️and ❄️ snowflakes, White birds..plain winter trees..🌲 and I do the birch white trees with the white lights..I also did a small 3ft tree in my kitchen with homemade heart ♥️ ornaments for Valentine’s Day…My Coffee Bar gets decorated for every Season and Holiday ❄️♥️🌲😘🥰
Crystal, I saw a news story yesterday about how high levels of lead/cadium were found in many protein powders in a recent test. Look up the news story & hope yours is a safe one. I think chocolate based ones were higher & also surprisingly organic brands.
I definitely want to try the pancake recipe!! Looks delicious!!! I decorate with everyday decor after Christmas, but stick with winter colors such as creams, whites, tans, dark greens, and blues. Feb 1st I’ll sprinkle in a little Valentine’s Day decor, then all things Spring after February 14th. I live in Texas, so I love the cold weather months and stretch that decor for as long as possible. ❄️🤗
I can't agree with you more on less decor right now. Coming off of all the Christmas craze certainly makes you want your house to breath a bit. lol I'm with you! Everything looks great today on what you've done thus far, bringing in a few things to warm up the spaces. I'm a huge banana bread baker, but I haven't tried the Magnolia one yet. I will for sure! I have all her books, as well. Thanks for sharing another great video! They are all super fun to watch, so thanks Crystal! Xo
I don’t like putting the Christmas decor away…I miss everything about but a clean slate for the New Year is nice! I go for minimal, neutral decor for a few months them “Spring” it up! 😊
Good morning Crystal Loved seeing you today! Your kitchen looks beautiful, I love all the green touches! You brightened my day! I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I can't wait to try your pancake recipe, thank you for sharing it☺️💖🤗
Good morning Crystal, as far as decorating for winter, I don’t do that too much living in South Florida and all. So my decorating is pretty simple, not so much spring though. Have a wonderful day😊
I love what you did in the kitchen, I still have some pine in some of my vases.I don’t decorate for Spring till Spring! We still have a few more months of winter here in PA. I decorate with a lot of greenery, candles, green, white and black and wood for winter. I still like to have cozy decor in throws and pillows.
I like things a little less cluttered after Christmas, but certainly not spring decor when we’re not even a month into winter on the calendar. I do a small amount of winter/snowflake themed decor. Just a small nod to the season, without going crazy. ❄️
Hi Crystal, I left out some of my garlands with white lights but it’s mostly wintery things like snowmen and snowflakes. Green pine trees too. Small ones. I also just made some banana bread. 😊❤❄️☃️🌲
Crystal I have had thyroid issues since I was 40 now 67, I was drinking Starbucks creamer I loved it making latte one a day not bad. My husband asked me did you read the ingredients I didn't. It has soy ,vegetable oil, another oil and things I couldn't pronounce . So I went on RUclips and found some homemade coffee creamers I can make 3 ingredients. My doctor said no soy so I do watch that as much as I can. We are getting ready to have snow all day so it's going to be watch my favorite channels just thought I would let you know about the coffee creamer❤
Here in Ontario, Canada we have at least 2 and a half more months of winter, if not 3, so I decorate mostly for winter and just add a few pieces for Christmas. I start winter decor as soon as it gets really cold, usually in November, and leave it out until spring, which can be March or even April. That way my home feels cozy all winter long.
I keep up my small flocked trees up and Christmas village up it keeps coxy from the winter i live where its snowing out and small table tops trees and they flock also to enjoy for the winter
I have been a hypothyroid since 1999. I was just watch angie Kudo channel and she just said she has Hashimoto disease right before yours. There are a lot of people I know that have thyroid issues. Hope all is good there. Your house looks great no matter what you do and for those comments people saying no rush into spring. I am like are you kidding. We have had lots of cold and snow and I am thinking come on spring. I wanna see sunshine and daffodils ❤
I was just diagnosed with a hyperactive thyroid - Graves disease last week - after spending 5 days in the hospital. I would love hearing more about it Crystal!! ❤
I’m in Canada so it’s Winter, cold, not too much snow. I want to embrace all four seasons and not rush anything. Simple is best for me. My amaryllis is in full bloom and I overwinter coleus for next year, takingcuttings all winter long. As well I take pothos cuttings regularly so that is my greenery, some dogwood branches.
Crystal, after Christmas I like to leave my greenery up through February, and then I start my spring decorating, I can't stand my house looking too bare after Christmas, it's depressing to me.
This year we pulled out the Valentines Day stuff since we were already in the storage room. ❤ Although Spring decor would not be far off, since where I live the cherry blossoms are already blooming.
Post Christmas Winter decor FOR SURE from 1/6 thru 3/6….colors are natural wood tones, dark green and white…..snow and pine are the anchor themes…..I find this so cozy and relaxing for January and February. This is my favorite time of the year. 🌲🪵❄️ Missing the Hot CocoBar……did the kids use it all up already?
I go right into Valentines. Our youngest daughter was born on Valentines so I love going all out even though she is married and just had her first baby , our first grandchild 💙
I decorate for winter. Much of my Christmas decor carries over. I remove anything Santa and Christmas exclusive. I have a few items I add. It's too soon for spring here in the NY Fingerlakes region!
I always go to green and white decor after Christmas. I leave out my evergreen stems and I ad in my little White ceramic House’s with some little snowmen here and there. We have winter in Illinois until April so I am not about to put out spring decor it would look ridiculous! I do ad a little valentine decor February 1st for the mont along side my winter decor.
On top of your piano, if you move the artwork too well and I'm looking at it be to the The left so you see more of the mirror and then you can move the two little green boxes more toward the picture. Give it a go thanks
I always decorate for winter but this year it’s a nope and I have no idea why. I don’t feel like the extra work of decorating and taking it down. I’m keeping it pretty neutral. I don’t know if it’s getting older but winter decor is staying in storage lol
I don't ditch all of the red for winter. I leave out a lot of the same greenery as I use for Christmas, even some of my small trees. I have a snowman collection that I bring out, too.
I think it depends on your climate etc., spring does not gel with what I see out my window, which is another 2 to 4 inches of snow over snow and ice from 5 days ago.😊 it would be a disconnect for me.
Where did you get the round riser on your coffee bar and also the long cutting board o; countertop where the flameless candles are sitting? I LOVE how you decorate!

We all work so hard putting Christmas together we need some downtime. Give your self some grace

After Christmas I decorate for Mardi Gras. Most people in Louisiana leave a Christmas tree up and decorate it for Mardi Gras.
I definitely want to try the pancake recipe!! Looks delicious!!! I decorate with everyday decor after Christmas, but stick with winter colors such as creams, whites, tans, dark greens, and blues. I would like to know what you use to clean your cabinets. Love your blog. You are so energetic and have lots of beautiful decor ideas.
I can't agree with you more on less decor right now. Coming off of all the Christmas craze certainly makes you want your house to breath a bit. lol I'm with you! Basic and simple is fine!! Christmas has burned me out. Left touches of winter out to enjoy.
Crystal I have had thyroid issues since I was 40 now 67, I was drinking Starbucks creamer I loved it making latte one a day not bad. My husband asked me did you read the ingredients I didn't. We just go right back to our regular every day decor after Christmas. It stays that way until fall...
I use greenery that you would find growing inside of a house. I think you can also use evergreens all winter.
Crystal, after Christmas I like to leave my greenery up through February, and then I start my spring decorating, I can't stand my house looking too bare after Christmas, it's depressing to me.
House looks good, banana bread looks great.❤
Everything looks great 😊
This year we pulled out the Valentines Day stuff since we were already in the storage room. ❤ Although Spring decor would not be far off, since where I live the cherry blossoms are already blooming.
My sister uses the Paula Deen banana bread recipe. It is yummy! Her nieces & nephew's request it for their birthdays! Happy New Year!
Post Christmas Winter decor FOR SURE from 1/6 thru 3/6….colors are natural wood tones, dark green and white…..snow and pine are the anchor themes…..I find this so cozy and relaxing for January and February. This is my favorite time of the year. 🌲🪵❄️
Missing the Hot CocoBar……did the kids use it all up already?
Yes I like your kitchen decorations is perfect nice and clean, thank you for the video
I leave my snowmen, birds (all year for most of them), fairy lights and a few trees until spring
I go right into Valentines. Our youngest daughter was born on Valentines so I love going all out even though she is married and just had her first baby , our first grandchild 💙
I go right back to my NORMAL EVERY DAY decor, after Christmas.
Then….on February 1st, I slightly decorate for Valentine’s Day for a couple of weeks. ❤
I decorate for winter. Much of my Christmas decor carries over. I remove anything Santa and Christmas exclusive. I have a few items I add. It's too soon for spring here in the NY Fingerlakes region!
Crystal, you are amazing. I enjoyed watching. I also have winter out. 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵
I keep my garland up on my mantel and hanging lights. It's cold in NY and it goes with our weather
We went right over to Valentine’s Day once we take that down will go to St. Patrick’s Day and then spring
I always decorate for winter but this year it’s a nope and I have no idea why. I don’t feel like the extra work of decorating and taking it down. I’m keeping it pretty neutral. I don’t know if it’s getting older but winter decor is staying in storage lol
Another great video:) I love to keep our gnome tfs and God bless:)
We keep it very simple
I don't ditch all of the red for winter. I leave out a lot of the same greenery as I use for Christmas, even some of my small trees. I have a snowman collection that I bring out, too.
Hi, your decorating is beautiful
Cosy up with throws and lots of logs for the strove
Hello Crystal…my decorations is in winter look with white flowers and greenery 😊
Good morning Crystal
i do the same thing, take away all the red and just leave it looking winter-y 🥶
I think it depends on your climate etc., spring does not gel with what I see out my window, which is another 2 to 4 inches of snow over snow and ice from 5 days ago.😊 it would be a disconnect for me.
I put out snowmen for my winter decorations
Lovely ❤
What protein. Powder do you use and can kids have it. Too? TfS xoxox
What do you use to wipe down your cabinets? Thank you!
I can't believe Christmas has came and gone. And it's 2025
Where did you get the round riser on your coffee bar and also the long cutting board o; countertop where the flameless candles are sitting? I LOVE how you decorate!
Do still have your dog haven't seen him very wonderful video
