      If cleaner just used air, how do you get rid of the splits, as splits are the same "tallness" as the whole peas! Surely you don't want to be seeding dead 1/2 split peas? You would need a gravity cleaner to get a pure whole seed source..Using these "cheap traveling cleaner people" feels good in the moment but the seed as the result is not top quality...if you are going to save your own seed, thus saving a lot of money, you should have some extra money to at least "condition what you harvest the best way possible".

      He rides most of the day. Ever so often he'll jump off and sniff around or drink from a reservoir.

    Hey Nick, When I was farming, I'd find rocks and even small chunks of steel from time to time in the fertilizer. Might be the source... Thanks for sharing your seeding video with us Nick.

    • @RobertWelkerFarmerBob
      @RobertWelkerFarmerBob 5 лет назад

      We're sure it was from the seed as we screened the fert and no rocks.

    Rocks!!! Nah couldn’t be!!! Never last here where I live. It’s all rocks. Losing time sucks when you’re farming. We’re farmers when we love what we do.

    I have grandkids in this lovely age they will move a big gravel heap to all man made holes and pipes they can find except the place I want the rock to be. It's a complete mystery how they can find all spaces to put rocks where I can't get them out even with a vacuum pump. All equipment sounds like a maraca-rattle after a while! But you can always ask your daddy if he recognize this evolution stage in kids when doing so or trowing stones around. :) Happy planting!

    We start in a week, last year we got lots of wee rocks in our Morris and it turned out at the fert plant they had a spill and cleaned up with a skid steer but never screened it and our tank baskets were'nt fine enough, plus you get some fert crust in there. can't wait to get seeding to have a rest from calving season, 2 months of 17hr days. seed on friends.

    Hey guys, Jeremy from southern Ontario. Great videos, love all your big buds, grew up in old versatile 555 and then 9300 John Deere. Nothing like long day out in field running big tractor power. Keep it up guys, would love to go four farm tour one day! When is good time, also your international truck with Cummings was build 30kms from my town.
