So, a funfact from my playthrough:
As a Cleric you can use the spell "Command" to force the Commander Zhalk to drop his weapon. It's basically impossible to kill him on Tactician difficulty so it's probably the only way to get his big buttkicking everflaming sword. I've found out because I knew that he drops it when he dies, but due to high difficulty I was scared of fighting him, ended up with the stupid idea that actually worked. 10/10 game.
Shadowheart has this spell but you gotta use her spellbook (K) to remember that spell before the fight.
you can defo kill him once you disarm him just use the sword (or give it to the Gith) he hits the flayer for around 12hp a turn on tactician (6*2). You can then potentially kill the 'flayer (if hes low enough when Zhalk dies) netting you a bonus 150XP (75 each).
Yes I killed him last night on tactician. I made him drop his sword, I equipped it and got some nice damage on him. I also used some buffs on the tank and using radiant magic on the commander hits hard :)
I haven´t tried it on tactician yet, so I don´t know if he has buffed resistances, but on normal you can stack the barrels/tanks near him (dropping them from inventory doesn´t take an action) and blast both of them away. (Shadow has firebolt cantrip.)
I have a cleric character and have this spell as well as shadowheart but i never used it on anyone i thought it wouldn't work on bigger and stronger opponents just weak grunts and i didn't want to waste a turn testing it and finding out lol
@@h.n.r_funi3324 It does work, but stronger chaarcters tend to have high bonuses to their saving throws so it's a lot less reliable.

Cohh, tip for organizing. If you pick up backpacks and pouches, you can store your pots and scrolls in them, move them to your quick bar and then you just need to open the backpack to access all your pots or scrolls. Handy for keeping clutter out of the quick bar.
you can just let the spells in your inv. sort it by type and open and close it with i, instead of handpicking and dragging every item^^ and i did not use a potion or scroll in my run, lvl 4. it becomes a lot more easy if you know that will happen
Thank you for this tip! This works on the controller / PS5 as well, you can put a bag/pouch on your wheel and when you click it it'll open and you'll see all your potions/scroll/contents etc. inside it. Much easier to have a single slot on a wheel with 10 potions in it than an entire wheel full of potions.

Shadowheart has this nice little spell to disarm. I just disarmed that winged boss guy, took his sword and got the heck out

On balanced I can beat the final demon but not easily at all and I have not seen any of the people I have watched kill him on Tact

Wish cohh would just let the decisions Play out instead of reloading saves to get the outcome he wants. Gameplay would feel more genuine

I understand your concern since recent media has worn that trope out, but this isn't the case here. She's not a Half-Orc, but rather a Githyanki. They are a militant race from another plane. Her attitude is akin to most of her race, both male and female. It would be weirder in lore for her to NOT be that way
