Logo Evolution: Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios (1915 - Present) [Ep.2]

- Take a trip with me through the realm of motion picture companies as we cover Metro Goldwyn Mayer, one of the largest motion picture companies to exist alongside 20th Century Studios, Paramount, Columbia, the list continues.
Please disregard the following:
- The United Artists Releasing logo - It is a joint-venture between UA and Annapurna pictures.
- The extra statement at 15:04 - It is NOT 20 years, it's 30 years.
- My nickname for the Metro Pictures logo (Logo 1) - I don't know why I called it the cardinal; it looks NOTHING like a cardinal at all. The new nickname for the logo is "The Duck."
- The "Slats the Lion" variant when I mentioned Jackie as a "plastering job" on the logo - Should've been mentioned when I was covering the variants on Jackie's logo.
- The Discord server announcement - Due to constant raids of "@everyone" spammers, I unfortunately had to privatize my server. However, it may open up again in the future since many fixes have been applied.
Thank you to Nicholas M. Daskievige and NECHO II for letting me know about the UAR info and the maths mistake respectively.

Edit 7/14/21: Holy crap, this video SHOT UP in views! Thank you all so much for your support! :D
I watched MGM logos a Billion times.
9:43 is from the wizard of Oz
Very interesting. Subbed because these logo evolution's are entertaining!
Thank you so much, Fabian! Your videos are entertaining to watch as well.
I love the mgm video too!
MGM is doing better since they got out of the distribution business, MGM Holdings is the company who owns MGM and the divisions. Also UAR is a joint-venture between Anaprina and UA. Also MGM Grand uses the print lion since it was owned by MGM before it was spun off. Update: OrIon updated their logo and now MGM is owned by Amazon but Sony used to own MGM back when MGM was a distributor and they have their Website on the logo before they become a film company again making their own movies instead of distributing films from other film companies
I remember this too.
Amazing!
I was very aware of this logo, because all of the MGM logos are completely scary, and it gives everyone nightmares. MGM was the second oldest scary logo than Oz Films and Studios Films from Spain, and Studios had a lion which was like MGM. In addition, they plastered the American International (AIP) logo with a scary one that you see at the very beginning of “The Incredible Melting Man”, the original non-MST3K version. The MST3K version had the AIP logo intact where they were saying “Round Guy With Surfboard International”.
Interesting story!
Cool video :D
9:05 my favourite one
I like this series. Can you do another one of these?
*15:04** CORRECTION~ THAT'S 30 YEARS: 20 YEARS FROM 1957 WOULD BE 1977, NOT 1987! (great video though, I must say.)*
I do apologize for that math mistake.
Orion pictures:can I make the pink panther movie
MGM:nope why because you are a small division
United artists: oh I got this
Haha. Probably true :)
Thanks for liking the comment BluecoolKnux And I also like and subscribe to you 😁
United Artists: Who's small now?
Orion Pictures: .....😅😳
you forgot the pink panther {2006} variation
"Variations" like those are made more for specific films, not just in general. That's why it was excluded.
I have to agree, he mostly does main variants

They retired the 2012 logo after Valley Girl was released.
Leo became CGI
Well according to CLG Wiki, they said the 2012 logo is still used in tandem as a secondary logo

Please do powermount
You mean Paramount? I will later on in the series.
U copied ccg88s old intro and outro
I made mine to be a bit unique, but it does contain the Viacom Pictures logo theme. I did not want people to think I was copying CCG88's old intro and outro.
