wow its insane how amazing this game looks, the military base looks so realistic to me. they for sure gave it their all remaking insane textures while keeping it original. i would have just accepted a lazy HD texture because it would be on PC in 60 FPS but they manage to make alot of things look great. such a shame multiplayer wont be involved that means i will still have to use a N64 emulator to play monkey tag but you cant win them all.
They gave it the shadowman treatment. I love it, be great if they did do evolution because that truly is a pretty great game. Be amazing if they redid all the flying sections. I use to not like them but over the years I’ve learned to love them and can do the fly sections with such ease and speed its amazing. A totally reimagined one would be amazing.
looks amazing! Looks a lot better than the original, its not just an upscaling with ssao and done. I hope they made a remaster of "Blood 2: the chosen" in the future
I remember when the first two Turok games were remastered, Nightdive basically called this remaster unlikely because the first two had PC versions with code to work from, but this one was an N64 exclusive and would take an enormous amount of work to even attempt, so it was unrealistic. And now they went and did it anyway. I suspect that, given just how much of a facelift the game has received, they didn't just "remaster" the game. I believe that this is a stealth remake. With nothing to really build on top of, they would have had to redo almost everything from scratch, and it shows, especially when you compare this remaster to the first two games. It would explain the long wait for the third game's remaster, as well as justifying the $30 price tag, compared to the $20 cost for the first two titles. They really put everything they had into making this game remaster a reality.
Nightdive REALLY needs to go back and upgrade both Turok 1&2 remasters to their latest KEK engine with the same level of love and detail that Turok 3, and Quake 1&2 have gotten. As good as the first two remasters are, they are very much lacking and limited in comparison to ND's later remasters. Both Turok 1&2 remasters have many issues with audio, music, textures, enemy AI, enemy health, effects, and much more. There is alot of cut content from both, need custom difficulties, just more more more. Id even pay $5 extra for all of it too
Would be nice, and add some things like mods do, such as the extended soundtrack for Turok 2 from the PC version, and a switch for explosive ammo / unique rifle ammo / radial fog, for Turok 1.
If Turok 1 and Turok 2 Remasters did get new added features, I hope that it's actually like a free update, like they did with Shadow Man, 1st the game was free for anyone that owned the re releases of Shadow Man, and 2nd the add on cut content that was missing from Shadow Man Remastered that were brought in later.
