im checking out this song. and it sounds exactly like i pictured with pinkfloyd+metal. lol. dude you nailed it. i dig this nightwish...intruiging, i must have more...
"Satan's plumbing system" is my new favorite description of gnarly vocals. And how the hell did they get away with growling to some 90s heavy metal hymn?
KMAC just released a one-take vocal video of Idol Hands that’s pretty amusing (and good). It has a decent amount of vocal variety for a reaction video I reckon.
LOVE this song!!!! Yes….very Pink Floyd-ish…..they also borrow the riff from “Year Zero” by Samael & changed the tuning. Very cool & inventive song. 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Kinda unrelated to the actual video, but I hope still a valid question - how come Soilwork didn't make it to any of the videos yet? Speed's a monster of a vocalist in most songs, but what I really can't bend my head around is what the *&%! is the overtone scream thingy in the Whisp of the Atlantic at around 10:55, I'd really be delighted if that would make it into one of the future videos :) Cheers and keep up the good work, 'tis a great channel!
They’re very pop-metal now I feel. Which is fine, it’s just not really my thing. But I’ll always love the first 3 albums. Shame they never seem to play any old stuff live anymore.
@@ethangarrison4265 The only good song on Rev was Wishing Wells. PWD is the definition of SELLOUTS. This new arena rock style won’t get them on metalcore tours in the USA anymore. They will get on European and Asian metal tours but will fall into butt rock tours in the states opening up for Seether and Shinedown
Hey Mark, does the ability to project louder assist with the articulation? I find it difficult to articulate for some songs I try to replicate, (I do mostly just make noises, I listen to alot of slam so fuck lyrics and articulation). But I feel like alot of it is because I am struggling to project certain tones. Or would you say they are separate from one another?
I've been trying to self teach myself Bottom Feeder and Vice Grip but sadly don't have or know anyone that would want to do band stuff. Your advice does help a lot though!
gonna work on my harsh vocals by reading the label on this bottle of advil right here, fuck yeah. (i really wanna do this now to confuse the shit out of everyone i live with)
Parkway will always have a place in my heart for their early work but their new stuff just doesn't vibe with me. Winston is still an amazing vocalist to this day though
100% agree. Accidentally saw them as openers in 2007 and they were my favorite metal band up until Reverence. It was a big change I had a hard time accepting lol
Dam I miss me some OG Parkway, their breakdowns are goosebump worthy most of the time. Just not a big fan of there recent stuff, seems tame, mainstream, kinda boring. Nice short breakdown on this one though.
I'm not usually one to leave comments, but who tf is this guy? This is like me watching a brain surgery video and talking about the things the doctor did right or wrong. Does your mom know you're using her Internet for this?
'Harbinger of all dark matter' is one of the only bits where his Australian accent peeks through, and it's great.
If you want a Pink Floyd gone metal you should check out Nightwish, High Hopes. Marco kills it.

I will not get tired of saying Liminal Rite is so far one the albums of the year. I ordered PWD , waiting for it till September.
Waiting for the next Kardashev album “DRY ERASE MARKER” 😆
"I don't have any books" *standing Infront of a full bookshelf*

One of my favorite cold opens you’ve done lol

Nice analysis and the song is good too.
This is actually Organization XIII looking for recruits!
Would be cool if you did some of their live stuff from wacken 2019
A dry erase marker is now the most metal thing you can own
Bro, check out some of their earlier stuff like 'Karma' or 'Horizons'. Horizons is what got me loving metalcore... 'Glitch' is decent (newer one) too
One day we will get a nekrogoblikon video

It may be stadium metal but sometimes I feel like listening to stadium metal. However i do miss the atlas and deep blue parkway drive.
It's a nice song, i hope their new album has some heavier stuff though.
It won’t.
@@IRLtrolls yeah 😓
Ya never know. Reverence had some surprises on it. Although I will say I don't like Glitch at all but this one has grown on me.

I totally get that "Another Brick in the wall" feeling aswell everytime i hear that song. I think it's inspired by it. BTW nice Reaction
Great video as always! If you feel like reviewing Norma Jean again I recommend their new song "Spearmint Revolt"

Should react to Harper -Falling!!!

Damn i really feel both of those comments 🥲
For a first time reaction... I would not have chosen this song
bugger pink floyed has anyone noticed Trombolie from underbelly being an austrailan band
DRY ERASE MARKER! 🤘🏻
Has some Speed Strid similarities in this song.
Could you react to Rome Music's new song Vengeance? The screams are so sick and there's a female vocalist in it who plays mad guitar 🔥
KWAS and Horizons were masterpieces. Everything from then has ranged from “ good to pretty good to boring af”.
Deep Blue's my personal favorite.
Please react to Epica - The essence of silence LIVE 💥
If you hear Pink Floyd in this, i want your dealer's number.

BUT DOES IT HAVE FLAVOUR :{D
Buuuump!
New Deathcore band name: Satan's Plumping System
Holy 'Holy Diver' ripoff batman.
Haha I had the same thought.
i dont think a single person whos heard this song and atleast knows some floyd didnt have your exact reaction!
Just sounds like average power metal to me

I haven't liked any of there stuff for a long time. It sounds generic and vocally boring to me.
Better than dinosaur vocal crap like Lorna Shore.
@@Quest4Horror lool who stepped on your coochie bruh
Whats boring about the vocals? Best harsh vocals in metalcore. If you said boring guitar work, then yeah id agree with that
New parkway sucks. It's like Irish chant rock
Dude you’re gonna be blown away by Rez the singer from Seventh Storm. Check the song “Haunted Sea”. 100% recommend it.
