So what he is essentially saying is, "We come from God, to return to God". The name Hayy means "Everlasting", one who has no before and after, One who transcends time and place. It is sort of a witty turn of phrase to say to Ertugrul, it doesn't matter where I am from, in the end we come from God to return to God, most likely referring to the verse in the Quran that says: "İnna lillah ve inna ileyhi raciun": "Surely, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return". The translation there is wrong. Actually, the English translation is pretty bad... It does injustice to the show. If you knew Turkish, there is an insane amount of depth to these meanings. I recommend the show creators to invest more money in hiring professional translators.

It is for the 6 or probably 7 time that I’m watching season 1. I had watched season 2 in English complete but from sezon 3 it was difficult to understand. This is marvellous series, beautifully revealing the stories of real heroes though little exaggerated but who cares . Love It so much.

Tone down your excitement - this Ertugrul is played by an actor. And a lousy word like 'crush' doesn't fit a historical figure like Ertugrul. Additionally, this series is loosely based on history. So don't take it to heart.

You should read Ilber Ortaylı's books. For example "Discovering the Ottomans". And I love this book series Kapı, Kilit, Anahtar. They are belong to Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu but I don't know about english one. Btw love from Turkey..

Warriors of the past...ottomann empire...strongman n beautiful wemen...wonderful entertaining movie...attire very good...fighting amongst the Mongols...Genghis Khan army...it was not easy in those times...killing with knifes,swords n bows n arrows riding horses...dangerous life but full of adventure...good acting from good actors...more series good people...God bless your country...ameen...

It is for the 6 or probably 7 time that I’m watching season 1. I had watched season 2 in English complete but from sezon 3 it was difficult to understand.
This is marvellous series, beautifully revealing the stories of real heroes though little exaggerated but who cares . Love It so much.

You should read Ilber Ortaylı's books. For example "Discovering the Ottomans". And I love this book series Kapı, Kilit, Anahtar. They are belong to Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu but I don't know about english one. Btw love from Turkey..
