The TV coverage is for the network coverage, NBC, so the cameras are not in sync with the audio. This is MUCH BETTER than the NBC coverage. Interviews constantly, this is much better coverage. Edit: To mention the focus on DPi cars, US fans, if you can call them that, only care about who is in the front. They don't understand the multi-class racing. They are more comfortable with NASCAR segment racing. I'm from the US and follow sports car racing around the world. And as a FYI NASCAR owns IMSA. So, some of their decisions can be forgiven.
And therein is my conundrum,if IMSA is owned by NASCAR,how come this series is ran better, with what feels like less rules, than the Cup series in NASCAR? Been watching IMSA since about Sebring in March and I'm starting to understand the different classes and still watch NASCAR off and on and the more I see the more I love this series and feel disillusioned by NASCAR! My only complaint is the season is so short but the longer timed races is a better payoff than NASCAR because of more green flag racing and racing in the rain!
What's up with the camera crew? The announcers are awesome as always, but it seemed as if the camera operators were asleep at the wheel. For example, why am I watching a side view of a driver while the announcers are talking about another car crashing on the front straight?
The commentators (IMSA Radio) were not necessarily watching the broadcast feed, but rather in the tower calling what they saw from the front stretch tower at Daytona. The camera crew is producing a show for TV.
They need to have this race every second weekend with a 50 million purse to the top driver/team at the end of Florida season...just saying Edit: Great Great Great Camera work this year guys - Yes you IMSA camera crew!!!
As per previous years, WeatherTech Championship races will be made available via RUclips and IMSA.com the Thursday following the live broadcast. Thanks!
The only complaint I have about the coverage is the inordinate amount of time they spend on dpi. The whole dpi field will be spread and meanwhile there are close battles for the lead on other classes, yet somehow we're still only watching dpi doing hotlaps.
Truly being at this race live theres always a battle somewhere and it sucks the broadcast doesnt show that. For 24hrs gtd is always close and all the way to the end they fight like the porsches.
Serious question, why does Shae always sound so muffled compared to the other more excitable gentleman you have doing pit reporting? Is she wearing a mask?
Whoever is switching the cameras is doing a fantastically horrible job. Why would race fans want to see the inside of an unmarked cockpit when there are tight battles going on outside? Why are we following battles that are a few seconds apart when the battle for 1st in DPi is neck and neck? Usually the camera switching is great during the Rolex 24, and my normal complaint is about the sound. It's just the opposite this year. What happened?
Wouldn't be so bad if they were actually covering what was happening on the track. Most of their time is talking about off-track and many times not even related to the race itself.
thank you imsa for making this available for everyone!!! btw watching from germany
I'm here to marathon watch IMSA 💪
This Rolex 24 was a cold one but thanks to IMSA for still filming this even though it was really cold during the weekend of when it happened

The race does not air on USA Network until February 27 unfortunately. The race will be available the following day.
Anyone know what happened to 01 car? I'm looking for it.
Altenator failure, the team didn’t have the spare with them hence they lost soo much time
@@MotorsportTukker oh crap. thanks for replying.

The network coverage didn't cover ANY racing, just interviews and commercials.

14:26 ... We missed you Ray.
Oops, was that an F bomb I heard on commentary around the 27 min 52 sec mark!?
I can't believe that 20 car didn't need to go behind the wall.
Cool channel liked and followed, I drive in vr, Ferrari is quick
Love it
Take a shot every time the 7 or 18 has a spin or an off. Make it a true endurance race! 😂
I would love to see the qualifying race run at night.
13:58 Green Flag
Really disappointed to see the Corvettes have so many issues 🤦🏻♂️
720p? its time to upgrade your equipment.
It's our production team's standard but thank you for your feedback.
Watching camera view during the caution sucked.
Thanks for your feedback Beau!
Serious question, why does Shae always sound so muffled compared to the other more excitable gentleman you have doing pit reporting? Is she wearing a mask?
She must have been wearing a scarf or something, at other events she has sounded very clear.
She probably had something covering her mouth. This rolex was extremely cold

I love these races, but I wish there would be maybe one race a year when the announcers would just shut up.
Wouldn't be so bad if they were actually covering what was happening on the track. Most of their time is talking about off-track and many times not even related to the race itself.
I mean this commentary is from the IMSA Radio coverage. They kinda have to talk the whole time.
@@westignor6855 then I will just bear with it. Thank you for that info!
Its kinda hard to talk purely on the race for 24 hours
