Another fantastic video arrival from the LAFD and they are always quick at attacking the situation and getting personal on top of it... always thanks for sharing, Tony J. from the Midwest/Indiana
Old LAFD quarters of Engine 23/Truck 5. When opened also served as living quarters for the Chief Engineer and family. Chief Engineer Ralph J. Scott and his wife lived on the third floor. Station closed in the 1960s and soon after used as the quarters of NYC station in the movie Firehouse. The station was numbered just prior to LAFD renumbering its truck companies to coincide with the engine housed in the same station (example: Engine 23 and Truck 23 at FS 23)
@@562FIREPHOTO LAFD Station 9 is consistently in the top 3 stations in the country for most responses and is number 1 in many years. My comment was facetious in nature. 😉wink wink
Kind of hard to have it on when it's sitting in the side compartment don't ya think? Does it really make a difference not having the waist strap? It's their personal choice.
@@catfishcave379 when firefighters are inside of structures the chemicals that are in the air are toxic to breath in. Those same chemicals will eventually accumulate on the breathing apparatus

Thank you very much !!! LAFD is great at that .
Very good deployment. 🤗
I live right across the street from fire station 9
Busy station .. I bet you hear them all the time
Nice vid. Was thatvdome LAFD guys with NY style helmets??
LAFD Is switching towards traditional helmets
That's good. With those helmets they've always looked like they should be working on powerlines, not fighting fires
Wonder if that three story building across the street in the background was once a fire house? Big arched doorway...
Hmmm let me get back to you on that !

Task Force? Where was the second engine, behind you?
What was the smoke scare?
Yes Engine 209 was behind me , minor smoke condition . Nothing more
It's good to see 9's getting called out to something. Otherwise that station is boring, never enough calls to keep its personnel interested.😉😉😉😁 😁😁
70% of their are medicals so I can agree with that .

Why do they arrive so unprepared. No breathing apparatus on and then when it’s on. They don’t fasten the waist straps.
LAFD stop putting their BA’s inside of the rigs to reduce cancer
