Sir your video lectures are life saving I was completely lost while trying to understand hugo and how it works I was thinking to completely drop down learning hugo and then I see your channel. Your channel saved me and my curiosity for learning hugo I never that hugo is that much easy that's true that there is hugo documentation but these video tutorials you are making are practical guide and with every video a learner become more better with hugo concepts. Thank you so much for these video tutorial I am subscribed to you and I want to make sure that every one who is lost should guidance from these video tutorials. Again thank you so much and I will always be waiting for your upcoming videos on hugo web development.
Hey there! Just wanted to say thank you for making this tutorial. It was a huge help in getting things off the ground quickly for a recent personal project.
Hi David, the dashes are just for breaking up the page and site title you could put whatever you like in there. The only thing that you can't change is the code inside the {{ braces }} you could use a pipe e.g. Blog | coding.com
I just re-published this old video ruclips.net/video/kHuRp7W8StE/видео.html I haven't had a chance re-check it. Can you leave me a comment if you think its good? Cheers
I also go over all this in my skill share course on scss building ruclips.net/video/kHuRp7W8StE/видео.html. There many other courses including an introduction course ruclips.net/video/kHuRp7W8StE/видео.html
Thank you so much for this video. I started watching the previous one and after I read the description I saw you made a new one. Really describes the basics of Hugo well. I've been stuck for a while because I couldn't get pre-built themes to work. I think with this knowledge I can get a step further. How did you get those nice folders icons in the directory hierarchy listing in Visual Studio Code? I see you are using a light theme for Visual Studio Code. Just curious why, simply a personal preference? Is it one of the default installed themes? Do you have any video recommendations for using, configuring and customizing Visual Studio Code?
I'm glad you have learnt some of the basics. It can be hard to learn via themes as they are all different, and sometimes way to complex for what your doing. The icons that I am currently using are the plugin called vscode-plugins. I only use the light theme because my laptop has terrible contrast when used outdoors! Unfortunately I can't recommend any vscode videos. I have released a full length course on getting started with hugo on skillshare here skl.sh/3rsfq4y (1 month free) I also have many more hugo videos on this channel.

Not a problem, I hope your projects going well
Great video, probably one of the best for getting to grips with how Hugo does things
I think so too! I found it difficult to learn Hugo via the docs, I am glad it makes your life easier!
Thanks for the video! Your explanation is very clear and concise at the same time.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome tutorial, it's so easy to waste time going down theme rabbit holes
I tried to make the video very straight forward as the hugo docs don't do a very good job at helping you get started. Thanks for watching
Great video, thanks a lot for your efforts in making this easy to follow tutorial.
You're very welcome!
This has helped me so much
Glad I helped
At 32:00 , I did it with and without the dashes and it seemed to work the same. Am I missing something?
