'Tis the eve of all hallows, and as the last rays of light disappear behind the New York skyline, in one particular basement Hawkbirds shape-shift into three black cats. Their mission to unleash on the world the unholy sound called rock and roll. And what a great job they do 👻 👍 Judging by the upload time someone burnt the midnight oil to get this one out ! The hard work is appreciated and the results are outstanding. Great singing, tight drums, and overall good balance in the mix. If I had to single just one thing out this time it would be the guitar. They look absolutely superb in this and the mix is just fabulous: The level on Mamma Hawkbird's guitar is louder than usual, and to the rest of the band mix in just perfectly. You are spot on about me except cold beer awaits from the shop fridge a few steps away after I get done shooing the last of these rattlesnakes out from under the cars so I can get back to work !! I don’t mind them too much except they make my customers uncomfortable. It’s also nice to have the Hawkbirds as my close friends in the shop here. Your tunes are a nice respite from the nightly coyote chorus !!
WOW! This is great! I love Dad with a sort of "Kitty Ramone" look ("kitty", get it, like kit-ty, like a drum kit). Mom, you sound great, fantastic guitar work, and you look incredible-- I'd say you were purrrrrfic! Sunflower, great job and you looked fantastic- I'd say you're the "cat's meow", (a phase older than me meaning your the best!!! Great song selection. What on earth is going on down there in Hawkbirdland? You are cranking out a bunch of songs lately. You guys chugging Mountain Dew by the gallon? 😃 Hawkbirds dressed like cats, you could be the Catbirds for this one, sitting in the catbird seat. Those new headphones are paying dividends as the mix is great now. I'm sure you have heard of the LA punk band X, the vocals on this song reminded me of John and Exene on a couple of their tracks. You should cover a couple of their tunes, maybe. So is this the new pace of releases now or are you just having an outburst of inspiration?
