AJ was allowed to fight for the titles because of the fact that Fury dethroned Klitschko and then was stripped of all the belts. Otherwise he would have has to take his place in line to try to take them from Klitschko
Current AJ is not the most entertaining or barnstormer BUT it is the best (as a boxer) we have seen. I never rated AJ apart from his power but I really like this AJ 2.0 👏👏👏
For AJ to begin boxing 🥊 at 18. Become a 🥇 medalist, unified all the titles minus the WBC. Lost it, won it back in a shutout IMHO against Ruiz. Excluding his meltdown during his 2nd loss to Usyk. He could have moved to 🇺🇸 and become an instant millionaire in the NFL. As a boxing fan I want to see AJ fight Zhilei Zhang regardless of the outcome of Dubois VS Joshua.
Super excited about the fight! However, I just can’t accept it as a world title fight. Both fighters have lost to Usyk yet one of them will receive his belt.
Nonsense. He knew for the first fight, the conditions of the win for that belt was to defend it next. Its not his, and the people saying otherwise are being childish. AJ never failed to defend his belts, and if he did it wouldn't have been his belt anymore. Usyk didn't need to agree to a rematch, he was mandatory. He chose to and rightly lost the belt. He is allowed to take the money over keeping it, I don't have a problem with that. But people acting like it's his belt still is beyond silly.
The Whyte win made the UK pay attention while the Vlad one made the World pay attention I actually think his best fight was against Whyte he was ruthless in it its close between those two anyway.
He beat Zhang in the amateurs, where Zhang had vastly more experience and was much faster and threw more punches than today. Bacole only became a pro in 2019 pmsl
I just can’t like AJ since he was spitting all that anti capitalist garbage - forgetting he’s gone from being a bum criminal to a multi-millionaire in a few short years. He forgets he’s one of the truest products of capitalism you could imagine. I think many lost respect for him that day, I wish him the best but will never pay for a fight of his again
This is precisely why holding all our big events in Saudi Arabia is Completely ridiculous 6:17 there is so much more to each event and a huge boost to the local economy:
Good boxer, good career, with some really enjoyable fights. Getting up off the canvas to eventually overpower Klitschko is the best of the highlights, so far. Not sure AJ would have beaten Ruiz in the second fight if the latter had actually trained although respect to him for getting straight back in with him. AJ absolutely can beat Uysk because the latter is close to 40 years old, which is a decent median age for opponents across Joshua's career.
He would have beaten Ruiz without any issue in the first fight if he hadn't let the occasion get the better of him and not notice Ruiz wasn't hurt. It was a costly mistake, but that one punch landed by Ruiz is what the fight comes down to. AJ was completely out of it for the rest of the fight. First couple of rounds and start of the third Ruiz looked leagues below AJ, and he always was. Ruiz myth was built from this fight. He has fast hands, a great chin, and decent power. But that was it. He never had good head movement, foot movement, ring IQ, ability to change and adapt mid fight or much of anything else. I remember when he fought a guy who AJ walked through in a round or two at least as easily as he did Ngannou, and Ruiz did win a decision easily enough but couldn't come close to stopping him.
AJ when fighting Usyk both fights was mentally destroyed from that Ruiz loss, he was a shadow of what he is now, also was changing trainers all the time travelling the world training with 7/8 different styles, he was lost, now he is the best version of himself and imo he beats Usyk in a trilogy no doubts in my mind either, stops him 6-9 rounds, he obviously beats Fury but that’s obvious

AJ was allowed to fight for the titles because of the fact that Fury dethroned Klitschko and then was stripped of all the belts. Otherwise he would have has to take his place in line to try to take them from Klitschko
But he collected all the belts bar one
@@Bob-v8hExactly, and took all challengers
Y'all underestimating ddb
I'm such a twat, I giggled at Hertfordshire
this is a great fight ..
Great vid Brian
what a top notch videography/story on aj; ive subd sometime ago: This vid got me watching start to end! Looking fwd to more videos from ye Man!
I still maintain Joshua was outboxing Klitschko up until AJ dropped him the first time in the 5th
AJ won much to your chagrin....
You can't beat a bit of Bully! 😝
18:32 AJ didnt look right before that ruiz fight tho. His ring walk and massage before they started was weird
Brian in that Beetlejuice drip 🤘
Brilliantly done !!!
Current AJ is not the most entertaining or barnstormer BUT it is the best (as a boxer) we have seen. I never rated AJ apart from his power but I really like this AJ 2.0 👏👏👏
Would be interesting to see how this version of AJ deals with Usyk for a 3rd time
AJ folds Daniel like a pretzel
For AJ to begin boxing 🥊 at 18. Become a 🥇 medalist, unified all the titles minus the WBC. Lost it, won it back in a shutout IMHO against Ruiz. Excluding his meltdown during his 2nd loss to Usyk. He could have moved to 🇺🇸 and become an instant millionaire in the NFL. As a boxing fan I want to see AJ fight Zhilei Zhang regardless of the outcome of Dubois VS Joshua.
Stone Cold Anthony Joshua!
I’ll be there in the crowd!
take a shot every time you hear AJ, might help get through this love in
I think every new boxer especially heavyweight should get the mike tyson treatment where they fight like 15 fights in the first year
The Whyte win made the UK pay attention while the Vlad one made the World pay attention I actually think his best fight was against Whyte he was ruthless in it its close between those two anyway.
I mean the Ruiz fight was a pretty big turning point for his career. But I think the fight that changed him for the worse was the Klitschko
I can't believe Ben even slept on a mattress. What a warrior 😂
He wasn't fighting monsters like Bakole, Zhang, Ajagba, Joyce, Kabayel, and instead 40 year old small men. But neither did Fury and Wilder to be fair.
So when AJ collected 3 belts off 3 champs?
He beat Zhang in the amateurs, where Zhang had vastly more experience and was much faster and threw more punches than today.
Bacole only became a pro in 2019 pmsl
I just can’t like AJ since he was spitting all that anti capitalist garbage - forgetting he’s gone from being a bum criminal to a multi-millionaire in a few short years. He forgets he’s one of the truest products of capitalism you could imagine. I think many lost respect for him that day, I wish him the best but will never pay for a fight of his again
Excellent comment...
He is not an economist
Year but hes always talking about money @Bob-v8h
u shold do story lile this about usyk aswell
This is precisely why holding all our big events in Saudi Arabia is Completely ridiculous 6:17 there is so much more to each event and a huge boost to the local economy:
This ref sure knows his stuff
So crazy to think aj collected all them belts and put them in ones possession
AJ flat lines DDD in under 6 rounds.
brilliant stuff 😍
AJ when fighting Usyk both fights was mentally destroyed from that Ruiz loss, he was a shadow of what he is now, also was changing trainers all the time travelling the world training with 7/8 different styles, he was lost, now he is the best version of himself and imo he beats Usyk in a trilogy no doubts in my mind either, stops him 6-9 rounds, he obviously beats Fury but that’s obvious
Im proud of Aj , Proud that hes British! And what speaks volumes..
Is that i wish Fury wasn't ✌️💚
