It is 100% McConnell’s fault that we all have had to suffer Trump’s nonstop loud diarrhea of the mouth all these years.
Sure, buddy, the electorate had no agency of their own, nor did the Democratic party fielding the one candidate who was worse than Trump at campaigning have any influence in that outcome what do ever.
Dude is OLD. TOO OLD. BYE
@@jorenvanderark3567 If McConnell told Republicans to vote to remove Trump he would have been removed at the first Impeachment.
@jorenvanderark3567 yep, the American people are coitus'd since either candidate is competent to serve as president. Put Harris back in the kitchen, and tRump in charge of the restrooms in the white house.
BWHW
McConnell had the chance to get rid of trump with 2 impeachments and neglected to do so.
Not neglected. He CHOSE not to. He preferred to let Trump to continue to fester for the sake of not giving Democrats a "win".
@@darklordofsword~ You took the words right out of my mouth... and you were much more socially acceptable in sharing them....
Hence McC saw Drumpf as a means of achieving *HIS* Reprehensible goals…
Yes HE is the architect of the destruction of the GOP.
@@darklordofsword yep, it falls into the definition. Neglect: verb (used with object)
1: to pay no attention or too little attention to; disregard or slight:
The public neglected his genius for many years.
Synonyms: ignore
2. to be remiss in the care or treatment of:
to neglect one's family; to neglect one's appearance.
3. to omit, through indifference or carelessness:
to neglect to reply to an invitation.
4. to fail to carry out or perform (orders, duties, etc.):
to neglect the household chores.
5. to fail to take or use:
to neglect no precaution.
Lest we forget, McConnell enabled that dumpster fire.
Oh, I’ll never forget. It’s comically cruel irony though that the elephant is the mascot for a party and constituency that has the memory of a newborn gnat.
💯 CORRECT
Never forget!
McConnell could have taken him down by voting to impeach him. He chose party over country. Never forget that.
He chose power over the American people.
Full stop
Mitch chose a Putin Puppet and wannabe Nazi dictator over democracy…and enabled the MAGA Third Reich to gain power.
Has everybody forgotten chuck grassley who is older than Mitch? I mean chuck helped write the Gettysburg address for Lincoln! Or many people are saying it.
@@anna9072 Moscow Mitch chose to enable the Trump MAGA new Third Reich Nazi party.
He and his GOP reps and senators decided that power over democracy was their way to ruling the despicable goons by sowing fear and doubt, while gaslighting, habitual lying and being Putin Puppets was the path.
They should be impeached, indicted and prosecuted for insurrection, treason and dealing with communist governments to overturn our democracy. Scum bags.
McConnell had several opportunities to put a stop to trumpism. He failed to act on them. He can say whatever he wants, his share of the blame and the shame rests squarely on his shoulders and he is forever tainted.
Totally agree and for McConnell to go out now saying these things is a joke. He had the chance to impeach and didn't, that speech he gave about civil litigation, we see how that is working out and now he is running again for President. I blame McConnell for having no spine to do what's right for the country.
Correct--McConnell caved in to Trump and the MAGA crowd at every turn. This is why it doesn't even matter whether you agree with a Republican candidate about anything--they won't have the guts to stand up for it if bullied. That's why they try to bully others--it works on them so they think it'll work on the rest of us. But what good are the convictions of cowards?
McConnell orchestrated it. He's just now dealing with something he thought he could control.
@@maggiemurdoch5698 No, McConnell was too greedy for power.
Ah but it has been a blessing in disguise. After all, Trump is pulling ahead in all of the swing states now! : )
Who remembers him not allowing President Obama to nominate Judge for Supreme Court?
He held up HUNDREDS of judicial appointments for a Republican.
He's not an accomplice, he's a co-conspirator.
Unforgivable!
@@jcspoon573No he's the leader of the shit party called Republicans! He's the one that did everything that is happening now
And he let Trump have that t last one that was really for Biden.
Pepperidge Farms remembers, and so do I.
McConnell built his power base on ruthless application of political power without regard for justice. Forgive me if I don't consider him a hero for covertly saying what everyone already knew. You get credit for defending truth publicly, not for whining to your co-conspirators in private.
Thank you. Very well said and 💯 truth. Many thanks.
No need for forgiveness - I'm super glad to hear that there are others who share my thoughts on McConnell. To my thinking, he, and many in the GOP, are personifications of evil - some more cartoonish (But still dangerous) than others.
Although Pence Did The 'RightThing'..and thank God for that..However Never Forget HE would have if Someone Told Him HE COULD
I'm pretty sure he's one of those Republicans who believe Nixon was railroaded. That's where the "ends justify the means" nonsense comes from.
The history books will not be kind to Mitch McConnell.
Nor should they be.
I will say one kind thing about him. He's better than Strom Thurmond... in some aspects.
That assumes that this country has a future as a democratic republic under rule of law, which given the possibility of Trump being elected into office, is very much in doubt.
*IF* Chump loses; if he wins, he's going to pull an Orwellian 1984 and rewrite history to reflect what's in his empty little head.
He's not going to be in any history books
Mm. That will depend on who wins two weeks from now. History is written by the victor.
McConnell will forever be known as "the undertaker of the US democracy."
Then let the American Democracy sit up suddenly in the middle of his mortuary, and scare the $h!t out of him!!! ❤🤍💙 😄🤪😄 ❤🤍💙
Indeed, more likely the funeral director. Wouldn't want to get his hands dirty you know.
Yes he will. Not buying ONE WORD OF HIS CRAP.
More like the bedside nurse that quietly switches the anesthetic for arsenic.
A fact that he is extremely proud of.
McConnell enabled Trump to run again and get three appointments to the SCOTUS. I find him to be revolting and as much of a liar as Trump.
I agree, but the Turtle would have had more power and influence over Mike Pence if the Turtle had encouraged and voted for impeachment. He actually missed his chance. He could have gotten more done with Pence.
He was very proud of being responsible for shaping the Supreme Court! He did the nation a great disservice.
McConnell is the epitome of why we should have term limits.
The problem is people vote for that scum and still will.
Apologies, but I must disagree. Unlimited terms is not why we have corrupt politicians. This is evidenced by the many GOOD representatives we have who have been in public service much of their lives. Most of these people are at the local/state level, but we have a few in federal politics (like Bernie Sanders and Sheldon Whitehouse). On the flipside, we have relatively junior elected representatives which cause inordinate amounts of damage as well. Also, if we kicked out elected representatives too soon, then we would continually be lacking in experienced leadership. If we kick them out too late, then we will still suffer from what damage they may do for a long time.
Rather, McConnell is the epitome of why we need better candidates. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to accomplish this. Something like shorter terms (or a nationwide policy on recalling federal officials) might help, but only where the general citizenry is informed enough to know what their representatives are doing in the first place. The problem is and always will be the basic issue with representative democracy: that some treat their ignorance as equal to the knowledge of others. That their "equal voice" in the selection process means that their uninformed, potentially contrarian, completely separated from reality opinion is somehow the equivalent to the opinion of an informed, reasonable individual.
P.S.- Beyond all of that, much of the worst damage done to our country is done by politicians who pass certain legislation on the promise that they will have a cushy position on a corporate board afterwards. Having term limits does nothing to limit the "revolving door" problem, it just gives it a predetermined deadline to get all the bad stuff in by... before they have to buy off the next person to fill their shoes.
@@Jedi_Vigilante That was my point but in a very short way. He has been a problem and will still be a problem because people vote that POS into power, the amount of time is irrelevant.
@@Jedi_Vigilante
Agree 100%.
As for needing better candidates... my down-ticket ballot had 20 races. 10 of them were uncontested Republicans. 😡 Step it up, Dems.
@reignofbastet
We have term limits.
It's called "voting."
McConnell is the politician version of Roy Cohn. He made 45 the politician, much the same way Cohn made 45 the crooked business man. I place a LOT of blame on McConnell. 🙄
The ironic thing about Roy Cohn is that he made his bones as the prosecutor who convinced the judge in the Rosenberg case to give them the death penalty. Yeah, those Rosenbergs.
@@CantankerousDave Indeed. That is a fact. 😕
McConnell could have ended this after the Ukrainian call but he chose not to
McConnell believes in party over country and nothing else.
@@brianmccollaum5489 I’m just glad he’s leaving. Maybe we’ll finally get to move forward some legislation that actually helps real Americans rather than multi-national, multi-billionaire oligarchs.
@@WhatIsThatAvi I’m glad that he’s leaving. The damage he’s already done shouldn’t be ignored.
@@brianmccollaum5489no.
He believes in "power for Mitch McConnell before all else".
@@darklordofsword And how does that power manifest for him? Through his position in the GOP. Make no mistake he loathes tfg but buttressed him at every opportunity to maintain GOP power. He may actually see himself as the epitome of the GOP. In some ways he may have been correct in that regard. So much more the pity for the US and the world.
Those like McConnell are exactly why we need term limits for senators.
He's retiring soon so of course he'll start trash- talking. Will NEVER forgive him for his deplorable actions supporting the biggest LOSER of all!!!!! Leave soon, Turtle! You'll NOT be missed!!!!!!!
The last I heard he wasn't going to try for Senate Republican leader but was going to run for another term.
Kentucky, this is on you. You kept reelecting McConnell even though he never did anything for you.
Their education was stripped and the idea was to keep those Kentucky folk in poverty for ever.
@@lauriedavis7471 Boggles the mind how they kept reelecting McConnell but at the same time elected Andy Beshear. Like, WTH?
Some of us didn’t.
@@Mallykins I feel your pain. I live in Texas, and I get so tired of being blamed for Ted Cruz when I've voted against him every damn time.

Vote blue, folks. Every seat, every race, every time. This is why. McConnell _knows_ how bad Trump is, for his party, and for the country, _and he doesn't care_ .
Funny how publicly McConnell was supportive but privately wanted him gone. So we all were put at risk. For the price of power. Shame on all that are guilty of this

Applause! Thank you.
Absolutely 💯 🎯
Yeah, they are all on the same team.....team Putin!
AMEN.
It’s shocking to be reminded of all the times McConnell has been so forthcoming about Trump, yet completely cow tows and collaborates with Trump and the forces of MAGA.
He doesn't cook tow. They use each other. Trump got Mitch tax cuts and 3 scotus justices. All in one term. It was worth the trade for both of them.
@@jasonwhite6463 McConnell knows the power of government institutions. He got what he wanted. This time, however, a second Trump term will do nothing but undermine the power of every government position other than Trump himself. McConnell knows this, and his actions line up with what he sees is in his best interests.
@@jasonwhite6463 He is willing to trade American democracy for he wants.
@@Rhekke There is nothing McConnell can do, at this point, to get rid of trump. He helped create this monster and now he has to live with the consequences.
@@brenatevi Exactly. But he hopes the random behind the scenes digs at trump will rescue his legacy. They won't.
The real damning thing here is that McConnell was one of the few people who could have held him in check and accountable from 2016-2020. And he didn't.
Trump is McConnell’s monster. He needs to own it.
Beau said:
Knowledge is knowing that Frankenstein was the doctor not the monster.
Wisdom is understanding that the doctor was the monster.

Mitch the Glitch showed he knew he was siding with evil and did so for "party over country" and even over his own soul!

Though shalt not ever speakith ill of another republican has done more damage to this country than almost any ideology.
He could afford the last because he has no soul.
Mitch couldn't find his soul w/military grade geo-tracking....
No, he chose power over country.
Wish Mitch had the spine to do what was right at the impeachment. Would have saved us all a LOT of trouble.
Jellyfish don't have spines.
Thank you, Belle. I have absolutely no respect for Old man McConnell. His lust for power is NOT to be praised or ever emulated. When Mother Nature finally calls up his number, I will not mourn, but celebrate his passing.
Or trusted either.
And of course, like so many other Rethugs, he expressed his views in a book, but did NOTHING when he had the opportunity to put tRump away for once and for all during that second impeachment! It doesn't matter who else said worse. The fact that we are still having to deal with donald tRump can be laid squarely at the feet of Mitch McConnell!
Worse yet, he expressed his views during the impeachment over J6, yet still gave trump a pass.
that's the grift, book deals and speaking fees
As a person who has done absolutely nothing to prevent Trump from running roughshod over his party and American democracy, his words ring extremely hollow.
Thanks, Belle.
I remember him having a lot of very strong words shortly after Jan 6th too.
But that didn't stop McConnel from bending over backwards at every opportunity to serve His Repugnancy.
He KKKan't go against his grand wizard... 💙
M created the monster
And yet McConnell helped shield Trump from impeachment and any kind of Justice. To show that he believes this but yet helped Trump shows how evil he is.
He gave us the freedom ending Supreme Court.
McConnell gets no pass from me. He's into this up to his eyeballs, and saying, "I didn't really mean it" is an extraordinarily shallow apology. Despite all his years, this mess will be his legacy forevermore.
It will be a happy day when McConnell the Turtle Boy finally retires!
Or just shuts off.
Personally, I think he is slowly turning into a Deep One and that Great Cthulhu will claim his soul soon.
Yeah it won't end when he retires. He's got many many connections all over. Rich men, corporations, other crooked politicians he trusts and uses. It won't begin to end until he breathes his last.
Did you mean Expires?
a day late, a dollar short to save his legacy I hope.
He shoulda let the senate remove him from office after the 6th.
If McConnell had gone through with the second impeachment we wouldn't be here today. Instead he basically gave platitudes and passed the buck. He is as culpable as MAGA trumplicans are if not more so.
I'm really old, and everything I ever knew about honor in everyday life, honesty, integrity, etc., has been violated by this current generation of GOP politicians. It's not just one bad apple, it's everyone in that party.
we have to hope that the non-trump half of the republican party votes for America, for Harris.
I was a childless cat lady for many years before being blessed. Today, my grown child and I will vote together. 💙💙🗳🌊🌊
McConnell is a big part of the reason we are here today, which started long before Trump. Even Moscow Mitch couldn't have envisioned how badly it would go. As for Graham and Vance's statements- even liars tell the truth occasionally.
Then literally said, “but we’re on the same team now.” Ol’ Mitch is a piece of work
Yes they are, team Russia.
@@markg.7865 Russia didn't create the fractures in our society, it simply leveraged them. We can't fix it by blaming Russia.

Too little, too late. If he'd have convicted IQ45 when they had the chance. Especially after the 2nd impeachment 🤬 hope he's proud of himself.
He got the Supreme Court he wanted, so he probably is
They're fine with expressing their dismay for Trump yet are totally unwilling to cut him lose and reject him outright. There is a price to that, as Cheney and Kinsinger know well, but a willing price to pay to be honest with yourself and the American people.
McConnell will go down in history as an idiot, he could have saved us from this by impeaching trump instead of protecting him
He’s absent of conscience and morality but he’s not dumb.
America's Paul von Hindenburg.
He wouldn't have saved us from anything. The rest of the GOP is as fascist as Dump. We would've just had deSantis or Vance or someone else run for POTUS instead of Dump, with exactly as far-right policies.
McConnell couldn't afford to lose Trump - he would have had a harder time getting the "boy scout" Pence to approve his plan for the federal court judges, so he stuck with the plan in spite of the downsides. Sacrificing the future for immediate gains. Look at the state of the 5th, 8th, and 11th circuit courts and see where he has succeeded in corrupting the courts.
