    I have a question, I am really wondering..
    Did you have the Dye injected in you , and later have blood work? Or did you give your blood work first? If it was after. Why? If you don't mind me asking. I would think giving it before the dye would be your true results.

  • @FinniusFog

    Why does it take 10 days to get the results? That seems an inordinate amount of time. We know the results the day after scans when my husband goes in. I've asked about electronic charts where you get the results even before the doctor. Is that a thing in the UK? Anyway, best of luck on the scans!

    • @japoemka
      @japoemka 3 месяца назад

      you can't get the results before doctors see it. also, usually you are being given a letter ("report") and for this to be prepared it takes time. this can be uploaded to the app for you to see it, but it's prepared by a medical professional

      @@martinacaffrey4411this sad… I seen numerous differences and Tiffany’s care and it’s definitely not for the good… there’s very accurate blood testing by Signatara..dna. This test in colon cancer will predict metastasis with an eight or nine months. The scans that she just had the last scan should be right before it on the computer for the doctor to compare…. If she had the same doctor review this before and immediately be able to talk about it… he should not have to talk to the radiologist believe we’re getting all the information or this is what she’s dealt with. It’s extremely sad to me…. And they don’t talk about lifestyle. This is crazy… Her life is dependent on this.

    Why does it take 10 days for results? That’s really awful and would def create unwanted stress. I had a CT & and had the results the next morning. Biopsy was even quicker, by he time I got the lift back down to the specialists rooms at the hospital they had phoned it through to them.

    • @sharonhoward884

      @seventhflower5432 Possibly but she didn’t when filming that so it still would have been stressful to wait 10 days, real time or not. She’s always had to wait a ridiculously long time for results. Maybe it’s just the UK public health system. Where I live it’s much more efficient.

I was diagnosed 6 yrs ago with diffuse systemic scleroderma and this is a rare autoimmune that they say 70,000 to 100,000 are cases in the US. It is a daily challenge to live with any disease that may be affecting someone. You have done a job getting through your diagnosis.

      I am aware, there are over 100 autoimmune diseases. This one is rare for the type I have as I stated the #'s in the USA. With many of the autoimmunes there are others that can also be causing issues. I have Sjogren's, Raynauds, CREST . etc and2 yrs ago diagnosed with multiple myeloma (bone marrow & kidney cancer). I spent my career in the medical field for just shy of 50 yrs.

    • @MyshelLeAnn
      @MyshelLeAnn 3 месяца назад

      @@laurawilliams5363My journey started with stage 4 non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I relapsed and then only chance was to try a bone marrow transplant. I then relapsed even after the transplant leaving me with the only option to try a second transplant. It was very hard on my body and I spent over 100 days in the hospital. A year later I was struck with Scleroderma. I was struck really hard. My entire body was hard as stone. I couldn’t even wiggle a toe. I was bedridden for over 5 yrs with round the clock care because I couldn’t do anything. It was even hard to get food in me because my esophagus hardened. I went down to 69 pounds and I’m 5’10. Plus with no more fat pad and all skin sucked to the bones you could see my entire skeleton.
      They gave me 3yrs. I’m a miracle to my doctors. That was 10yrs ago. It’s been a very hard journey not to mention all the complications and illness, surgeries in between. I am now able to get out of bed and use a wheelchair. I can’t hold my body completely up so I’m bent over at a 90 degree angel. I’m in intensive therapy constantly trying to move my limbs to stretch as much as I can. I gain itty bitty mobility every year. But I’ll take it…even though it’s taken 10 yrs I can now at least get out of bed and I’m here. They can also now get me in a car. When my body was like stone you couldn’t put me in a car(like trying to put a 2x4 piece of wood in a chair) I also have Raynaud’s, Sjogren’s, Graft vs Host. You don’t hear about scleroderma much. A lot of people don’t even know about the disease. I was really surprised to see you all mention you also have it. Now due to so many immune suppressants I’m really battling squamous cell. Most difficult thing is because the skin is so tight they can’t remove and stitch me up. Leave big holes is a danger for healing and infection. I may now have to have my leg amputated:(. My heart goes out to anyone that has had to live with disease. God Bless you all.

    Do you take vitamin D Tiffany? Just wondering as you said you use factor 50 sun cream which is blocking a lot of sun rays and black/brown skin needs more sunlight to produce vitamin D and in the uk we’re already at a disadvantage with how little sunlight we get, also having hrt will risk bone health more as you age so be careful you’re getting enough exposure or you’re topping up vitamin D, but obviously take your GPs advice xxx I take prescribed vitamin D supplements as I too have darker skin and due to my diet I am more prone to deficiency xx ❤❤❤

    Everything will be fine with your scans. We will all celebrate together!
    For your eyelash curler, the reason why the curl is not holding is because you are pumping the eyelash curler instead of holding it in place and not moving it. You need to hold it longer than you do.

    I used to use an eyelash curler years ago, but for some reason I stopped. I have fairly long lashes naturally so you’ve inspired me to try it again.

    Prayers everything is good with your scans. I’ll be having an MRI of my pancreas in 10 days to see what the spot is but I pray every day and I know it’s in God’s hands not mine. You have the prettiest hair I have ever seen.

    Best luck on your scans, will be good! Question regarding work scheduling - in the US, a doctor has certain days and hours consistent each week. It sounds like you can work when you desire and book it. As far as I know, it doesn't work that way here. It would make it very difficult to see the same doctor each time. Is this a large group of doctors so you can do this? I don't think it works this way here anyway.

      She is not a doctor, she is an optometrist. As with many jobs, many optometrists do contract work so they work when they want to work.

    I find it so strange that you didn’t want Matt to join for your appointment, yet you gabbed into to your camera the WHOLE time. I personally would’ve preferred my ‘darling’ by my side. Odd.

      Our son is 41 and stage 4 colon cancer extensive metastasis to his liver. We have to practically beg him to go with him to chemo. He explained it as being twice as hard for him to see the worry on our face etc......NOT odd at all. Cancer patients endure so much. When he is comfortable with us present we go. He calls the shots.

      I don’t find it odd at all. She was just getting a test - not results. And she probably feels that Matt and her mom have taken a lot of time in the past for doctor/hospital visits with her and she doesn’t want to put them out.

      Maryann and doobie...both spoken by folk who have probably never had a life threatening disease..as a cancer patient myself, I understand her completely, even when getting results, you just want to go inside yourself and to stay calm, not have inane chatter of worried like from family of friends, who matter how much you love them...unless you have been in someone else's shoes, please don't judge, you don't have that privilege..🙁

      Not going anywhere dear...and at least my comment is put forward with an experience level that means my words are informed and not a little childish throw away retort..you may as well just stick you tongue out, it would be just as mature!

    I only get my hair cut every 4-6 months, so just a few times per year. I keep it in a simple style that doesn't require much upkeep. I get my highlights touched up just a few times a year, as well. I'm super low-maintenance (and I like to save money whenever I can).
    Your niece and nephew are so adorable! I can see the family resemblance especially in Ella. 😍They're so fortunate to have such a loving auntie!
    Prayers for good results for your scans. I know how nerve-wracking it can be waiting for tests results!

    I have my hair cut twice a year. Once in the summer and just before Christmas. As I have dark curly hair and I am trying to growing it out at the present so that is what my hairdresser recommend for my hair type. My hair is low militance so I could not cope with having to have a hair cut more than that in a year. The hairdresser's shop is very stressful for me as al of the noises do overwhelm me at times
