Scott said a few times in his later years he wanted to make a more stripped down electronic album. I guess he wanted a change as his late stuff cost so much to record. I can imagine him singing this.
@@BlackMonoSU10Scott strongly embraced the organic instruments -orchestral & rock, but I think he was ready to play with electronic sounds. The ease and immediacy might have been freeing in a new way, even though he was quite free in his own way. There is an interesting moment where there’s a well placed snippet in “Printing Press” off of Childhood of A Leader and Dawn demo closing it out. There was so much in him, I wasn’t ready for him to go.
@@jeannehospod1030 Thanks for the info! I need to listen to those tracks you mention. I found the Bowie / Scott relationship very interesting. How Scott strongly influenced "The Next Day" & "Blackstar". I never wanted to meet either but like many people I found it comforting that Bowie was sat in a New York Loft thinking about society and Scott was in a House in London doing the same. Its a real shame they are not here putting more stuff out. In some ways they were still improving despite their advanced ages. I have just uploaded my electronic cover of Scott Walkers "Dealer". I just wish I had his talent.
LIT. LEGIT. LIVING FOR IT. 🖤
