I'm a Ndebele(from my Mother's side) who grew up and was born in South Africa.
My father was Bemba, but I don't remember him since he passed when I was 2 years old. According to my mother, I used to speak Bemba when I was young and I couldn't understand Ndebele. But I eventually dropped it when I was five and could speak Ndebele.
Which is weird because I don't remember it. At least not that much.
Hopefully when I'm fully independent, I could travel to Zambia and learn the language, just as a way to honor my late father.
