    Never be lied to about the prices for french beans, all the contracting export companies buy @ 60-70bob a kg. Only at very high season especially Feb they get to 100/-.
    Have been in the field for quite sometime.

    • @AfricaFarming
      @AfricaFarming  4 месяца назад

      Any person with interest in farming. The only thing is that we speak English in Kenya. So most of our videos will be in English. We would love to have other channels with the translation in different languages but currently let's make do with English and swahili

    • @OtheDaddy
      @OtheDaddy 4 месяца назад +1

      @@AfricaFarming I would love learnig swahili. But at the moment you should conduct all your interviews in english. My point is, you get carried away ask the questions in Swahili instead of english. It is unfortunate, because I find farming posts from Kenya very informative, but very often very vital information is spoken in Swahili unconsciously.
      Technically you do a good job. You use a mic. That's important. Make sure you have a good camera and a cameraman. The video should be dynamic and should accompany the interview. I love the Malian music you use in the background; avoid background music when speaking; that's distracting. In-between sections of the interview you can blend in the music fully like you did at 9:30.
      Technical questions, like how the planting is done, are impontant. Put yourself in the position of someone who knows nothing about farming. At the end of your video he or she shall be equiped with expert knowedge.
      Please don't forget your hosta contacts in the video description. Also state the Authors and names of songs you use.
      Edit your videos well. Keep the length below 20 minutes. Prepare your questions so that you follow a chart through the interview.
      Unfortunately I missed out the information on weed control. I assume Mr Munene uses mulch and manual weeding. Please enlighten hosts to refrain from using dangerous herbicides. Inform yourself about conservation agriculture.
      I hope my lengthy critique will encourage you to get better in what you are already doing very well. I assume you too are a farmer. Good luck.

      Thanks for your vivid response and the wonderful insights you have shared. We cannot promise not to use swahili as one element in interviewing is connecting with the interviewee. Most farmers, especially the serious ones, hardly speak English fluently. What I promise you is that where swahili or any other language has been used, we will put English captions so that those who don't understand the language will not be left out. Thanks once again for your insights and I pray and hope that you will continue sending your valuable feedback so that we may also learn. God bless you so much for that.
