- At least 15 killed by tornadoes as severe storms wreak havoc across the country; Twelve passengers and crew injured after turbulence rocks Qatar Airways flight; Hamas claims responsibility for firing missiles into Israel; and more on tonight’s broadcast.
Each year these storms swipe away homes. Humans can not stop the storms, but we can rethink the types of houses we build.
Yes! I live north of Nashville and we had storms all day yesterday. We only lost one tree in the 85mph winds so we were lucky. Stay safe.
My dad was a Veteren & when he passed away in 1993 we had the folding of the flag, the 21 gun salute & the playing of the taps. I think of him everytime I hear the taps played.
My Dad also, the folding of the flag and 21gun salute, he floated around in the ocean for almost three days using an empty three gallon can as a floatation device until rescue came the Reich bombed their medical supply ship which was against the rules of the Geneva Convention he came home with the purple heat, marksmenship medal and a couple more. RIP Dad you were teriffic.
Thank you for your dad and the sacrifice of your family. I served as a rifelman for funerals while stationed in California. It always brings a tear to my eye when I see the families as they say goodbye. I know soldiers aren't supposed to cry but how can you not?

16:09 What happened to my bag years ago, and I got a little over $1000 and a ticket voucher, which I did use. However, it was a complete hassle and took months! First of all, my bag was not at my destination, which thankfully was home this time, as I was returning from a trip. When the bag was delivered to my house, nice feature, but when it arrived the outside of it was torn and broken, there were gear marks and gear oil on the outside and the inner contents of my bag. I did have travel size perfume and a lotion, those Were purple, and there were purple stains on several of my light colored clothes. Shoes crushed. The bag and contents cost way more than the thousand dollars
While I was changing duty stations between Germany and Ft Hood, my duffle bag took 3 weeks to get to me. The airline said it didn't fit on that flight so it wasn't on the same plane as me like I expected. All I had was my Class A's until it got there and ended up having to waste leave days until it arrived. My household shipment got there before I was reunited with my underware.🤣
As a Viet Nam Era Veteran 🇺🇲🪖 age 72 homeless and living on the streets of Sunny Southern California. I honestly don't believe that I deserve to be recognized a true American Hero. As far as I am concerned I just want to be cremated and my ashes thrown out the window on some road. Then no one will have to go out of there way trying to honor me. I'm thinking about having my name legally changed to Unknown Veteran that way I we be just forgotten.

I will go buy my outfits from the local thrift store and then mail anything that I want to keep back to me so I leave with nothing.
No missing luggage, nothing broke, nothing missing. No waiting for the luggage either. Straight off the plane and heading on.
That’s pretty smart! I do the same thing. I also keep a small wardrobe at my parents’ place, my brother’s place, my sister’s place, etc.

In 1986 I watched out the airplane window, a handler throw a briefcase several feet. The case broke open, and all the folders and hundreds of papers got caught up by the wind and fly out toward the runway.
People should always take things that they can’t afford to lose with them in a carry on.

Climate has changed since the earth was formed. Show me one year where there was no tornado, floods or droughts. Stop living in fear.
On May 9th, we were on American Airlines 953, an overnight flight from JFK to EZeiza in Buenos Aires. During breakfast, 2 hours prior to landing . We had a sudden drop, and I saw people fly up into the air, along with coffee and food. I'm not sure if anyone hit the ceiling or was hurt. Thankfully, I had my seat belt on, but many had unfastened their belts. I took pictures of the mess and coffee on the ceiling.
Strange how climate change seems to start in Antartica as a huge heat anomaly develops periodically and makes its way up past Africa and hits the Atlantic Ocean warming up the atmosphere . Strange ain't it?😮

Do not fly these days. But when I did only take a backpack. Believe it or not went on a 16 day cruise and took only a backpack. No luggage. One less thing to worry about and saved money. Travel light. It is a Kenneth Cole backpack and holds alot. I also don't buy alot of stuff. 😊

Golf Clubs are made from strong materials, such as iron and other metals. Those bags are too heavy for any worker. Video seems is okay how they were handle. Workers carry and pick heavy bags all day long and they harm themselves often. Please give them a brake and cease the complaining. Items that can be damaged such as make up bags should go on your carry on the plain bag.
I absolutely agree, they want the workers to have back injuries from picking for handling those heavy golf clubs? ⛳️. My back is certainly more important than any stupid golf clubs!
Given the number of times I've seen luggage out in the pouring rain, I'd suggest hardsided luggage over fabric, even for carry-ons in case you find yourself forced to gate check.
Hard luggage can pack air. The airlines struggle with weight limits. Best to bring soft luggage and vacuum seal. Anything if true importance or immediate needs goes in overhead luggage.
Don't fly don't drive stay home stay safe.
