Cruise ships routinely leave people running to port less than 15 minutes late where they can still see the people. That woman got lucky. I would assume there was some other reason they hadn’t departed. I do not think they were specifically waiting on her.
Cruise ships DO NOT typically wait. They might give it 10 to 15 min. tops if you're luckey. There was a video earlier this year of a couple that had left their children on board while they went into town who were late. After waiting 10-15 min. the ship left. Passengers took video of them running along the dock yelling for the ship to stop, but it continued without them.
Oh my gosh!! I Have seen MANY videos of people either, being recorded by other passengers from the deck while they're running down the dock yelling and begging. Or video of the people who were late and the absolute hell they endured to get back on the ship. Having to somehow make it to the next port stop and meet up with the ship there. But NEVER have I ever heard of someone's kiddos being on the ship without the parents, left alone without them making it back on the ship in time!👀🤦 I've never been on a cruise myself but I thought it was a pretty well known fact and common knowledge that they absolutely DO NOT wait for you. Unless, as you mentioned they're extremely luck and its 10 maybe 15 at absolutely most. Which I get they gotta do what they gotta do. The ships have soo many people on board. It's your responsibility to ensure you are where you're supposed to be when you're supposed to be there. Simple. I am of the mindset that as an ADULT, there's no excuse in today's day and age with all the technology in our pockets and at the tip of our fingers at all times, to EVER be late. Even more so for something as important as getting back on your cruise ship. And especially If you left your damn kids on the ship without you!!Especially when you're in a freaking foreign place!! Like duh!! That seems all the more reason to in fact ensure you're back on time. Pretty sure they also remind you, as you deboard, every single time, that ship will leave at "this" specific time. And that they WILL be left behind if not on board by the correct time. No exceptions. Do you remember by chance the video or any information I could use to narrow it down when I search for the video you were referring to? My curiosity needs to know how all that turned out with the kids being on board without them and what not. Best wishes to you and yours!! Also If you're in the US and celebrating, Happy Thanksgiving!

About cruises: they will 100% leave you if you're late. I saw 6 people be left, they walked up 30ish minutes late and the front of the ship was already out on the water. You are informed of re-boarding time so many times, from when you book to before you get off ship. Most cruise ships now have pre-set and specific times they can be in port, because they can only dock a certain # of ships at a time and the cruise ships have usually paid for the whole docking area

As someone that's been on many cruises, they do not wait lol they even let you know that you will be left if you are not on the ship by depart time. When you dock on an island, you're told to take your passport with you incase you miss the reboard. There would just not be a functional way for a cruise line to take attendance and be liable for all passengers.
Fourteen years as cruise crew, so seen this many times. Cruise ships pay port fees, which can be thousands of dollars an hour. The shore staff may be clocking off after the ships scheduled depart time or be needed for another ship. Another ship may have that berth booked once you're supposed to be gone. The local pilot who navigates the ship in/out of port with hazards such as sand banks, currents, etc may be needed on another ship so won't be available if you leave late, in which case you have to wait even longer for them to be free again. Leaving late may mean missing a booked arrival time at a port the next day, again shore staff may not be free at that time. Missing the port would mean cancelled shore excursions worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Even if the ship can still make the next port time by speeding up the extra fuel bill for the extra speed is huge. Revenue depts like the onboard shops and casino can't open in port, so they have to remain closed meaning less services available for the guests back on time and less revenue for the cruise line. You start adding all that up and the total cost of a single late pax can be over $1m. You think the late guest is gonna pay that? No. So how does the cruise line get it back? By bumping up prices for the 99.9% of guests who got back on time. By the way, the port agent will be made aware of any late returners and be waiting for them and assist in making forward travel plans.
I used to work the cruise lines as a local guide up in Alaska and they will absolutely leave people. They do it all the time. The only exception to that would be if you're on a cruise partnered excursion and the excursion is late. Occasionally we would be late taking cruisers back if a bus broke down or something, but because it was a partnered experience they would wait. If you go off on your own, find another cheaper excursion on dock, or anything else, they'll leave you. They'll usually then work with you to make arrangements to get picked up at the next stop or somewhere along the line, but that's on your own dime if you don't pay for the insurance.

I've been on a cruise and they will not wait for you. Maybe 10 to 15 minutes if that. No way they're waiting 45 minutes. They have it in the fine print that if you are not back by boarding time at each destination they will leave you behind and you have to get your own travel to the next port.
I work on a cruise ship. We do tend to wait for a short time but there have been many instances where we have left without passengers and they’ve had to get flight to the next port of call.
5:07 that kid in the booth looked over just in time to see a bald man’s hair suddenly reappear then he sat there stunned trying to process what he just witnessed. Lol
They will leave your ass if you're not back on that boat when they tell you to be. I was on a cruise that did turn around, though. Had to pick up a couple because their young child was at the daycare on board the ship. Everyone was on deck shaming them 😬😅
I highly doubt (but don't know for sure) a cruise ship of that size would wait for one person like that. The money they would lose alone would be outrageous not to mention how she would probably end up overboard that night for making everybody wait on her. LOL
Cruises usually don't wait. They ask you to get back on at the next stop and more or less wish good luck with this and leave it to you. There is so many videos of people freaking out because they miss the ship
Hehe ... True story Me and my buddy went down to go see some girl I knew at a local college. My VW bug broke down, but he was following behind me on his kawasaki ninja. So we put on all of the clothes we had packed in the bug and layers, I jumped on the back of the bike... And then we got lost. Bottom line, being late was one thing. Being late and missing ships movement was another entirely. It was the difference between 30 days extra duty, and probably a court-martial. And our Destroyer was going to see that day. You should have seen the two of us running down that pier, with eight pairs of clothes layered on top of one another. I think people were walking and going faster, but we were giving it all we had. Then when we got up on the brow, it was being pulled. Ship was getting underway. We both had to jump. In the 30-year since that story actually happened, the distance has grown every year. I don't really know how far it was. But we were not missing ships movement. So we both made the jump, like a couple of round Michelin men with all those clothes stacked on top of each other. I didn't even feel it when I landed on the quarterdeck. I think I bounced. But I bounced, I rolled, I looked up and saw the officer of the deck and couldn't think of anything else to say except for... "Permission to come aboard sir." Destroyers don't wait for you. That's the moral of the story.
You get a cruise card at the beginning of the cruise and use it to ‘ sign out’ when you leave the ship. That way they know who’s on the ship and if you left.
i went on a cruise once and they scan your braclet id thing on entry and exit of the ship, but they will leave you behind 20 minutes from call time and you have to fly to next port to get back on. we even had someone die on board ( elderly woman heart attack, nothing sinister) and they had to come be taken off by a boat because theyd already left port like an hour ago and the ship wasnt gonna go back.

Cruises dont wait, ive seen countless people get left behind, this is in fact discussed routinely in cruise videos. My guess is there was some other delay, and she was just oblivious to the fact she was even late.
The cruise I went on didnt wait for people, my fiance and I were late to the boat in Turkey and they put our passports at the port and were ready to leave when we got there grabbed our papers and hauled ass onto the boat only to be told you will be left if you are late. We were late because we were buying a carpet and the sales men literally were blocking us in the store in order to get us to buy more! It was hell.
You can find plenty of videos where people are on the Cruise ship laughing at people who came back too late and being left on Whatever random island they were at
They were not waiting for her on the cruise. A cruise ship will 100% leave you behind to maintain their schedule, especially if there are multiple stops. Ships that big have to account for some much because ports are limited, sea travel lanes could be get backed up. Either that ship had a mechanical issue or another ship was blocking a lane and they were told to wait.
@lushLife about the cruse thing.... yes they have to wait for you because there is a way to count every single person on the cruse, and yes its automated. But she could be going home on the next stop, they leave you at a bigger city, tell you you can go to airport and buy yourself a ticket home. They did it to me last time even though I had a good reason I was late for boarding 20 min. ( I had to take a Mondo Duke and a pretty huge one) so it took me about 18 min to get it out since it was one HUGE piece of SHIT that simply had to come out in one piece
My ex’s uncle was a big shot doctor down in Atlanta, when we went on a Disney cruise one year with the entire family, he was late. They held that cruise ship for almost 2 hours!! Until he finally showed up via helicopter and we could get underway 🤦🏻♀️

A cruise will only wait for so long. Eventually, you'll have to find your own way home
11:32 The piercings getting caught happened in a movie called "The Sweetest Thing". I tell you when that happened that had me and my husband both laughing hard. Even thinking about it still makes me laugh.
You are SOL!!!
I was once left behind in Jamaica!
I've been on a cruise and they will not wait for you. Maybe 10 to 15 minutes if that. No way they're waiting 45 minutes. They have it in the fine print that if you are not back by boarding time at each destination they will leave you behind and you have to get your own travel to the next port.
Happy Thanksgiving lush family
lmfao bro I s2g you're not out here complementing the homies print! I almost died 😂😂. Well done sir. Well done.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your Fam LL❤
Happy Thanksgiving
Wasn’t sure you would post today. Happy thanksgiving hope you had a good day!
I work on a cruise ship. We do tend to wait for a short time but there have been many instances where we have left without passengers and they’ve had to get flight to the next port of call.
OMG we were in our 1987 Buick Grand National, drove by a ball field and a home run was hit, right into our back fender 😣
I don’t think that first one was a skit either. It would be impossible to fake that mixture of horrified and cracking up!
How many guys did you have to beat off to get the Hollywood stardom you have now? - Ohhhhhh how accurate that is! 😂😂😂😂
I am speechless! This was a hell of a ride. Ride or Die I guess!
Leon 12:25
Stanley cup NHL!
Thought the same!
0:59 Just watch the girl in the centre with the yellow sweater. She goes from aloof to peak curiosity like a boss.
7:02 I hope her Dad got the digits for her, even though she went under the table 🤣
5:07 that kid in the booth looked over just in time to see a bald man’s hair suddenly reappear then he sat there stunned trying to process what he just witnessed. Lol
Happy Thanksgiving from.a fellow New Englander keep on keeping on guy!
Jinga beer!
🎶 99 mugs of beer to serve 🎶
99 mugs of beer
🎶 take one off...back to the bar to get 98 mugs of beer 🎶
They will leave your ass if you're not back on that boat when they tell you to be.
I was on a cruise that did turn around, though. Had to pick up a couple because their young child was at the daycare on board the ship. Everyone was on deck shaming them 😬😅
The cruise ships don't wait for you if you are too late! You will have to get to the next port of call on your own dime!
I was also thinking of Lord Stanley's Mug.
I'm in the UK and genuinely didn't get it until you explained the beat off reference like three times 😂😂😂😂
I'm from Scotland, and the term "beat off" has been used for decades.
Can't believe that guy spilling around 100 pints of beer, i mean what the hell was the guy thinking that it wouldn't go wrong 😂😂😂
you guys make me laugh!! This made my day. Too Funny..
Don’t worry Leon, I was thinking the Stanley Cup trophy too. lol I’ve never heard of the brand you own to put drinks in, but I do own a similar cup.
I highly doubt (but don't know for sure) a cruise ship of that size would wait for one person like that. The money they would lose alone would be outrageous not to mention how she would probably end up overboard that night for making everybody wait on her. LOL
Don’t feel bad Leon, I was thinking NHL Stanley Cup as well.
Also…Let’s Go Blues!!! 😁
Cruises usually don't wait. They ask you to get back on at the next stop and more or less wish good luck with this and leave it to you. There is so many videos of people freaking out because they miss the ship
Apparently Stanley’s r so durable the can withstand a car fire completely unscathed. The ceo saw the video and gave her a new car.
Best thermos youll ever buy. Most people only need to buy one their entire lives.
How do they compare to Yeti thermoses?
@@elindquist5725 one is a cup, the other is a cup.
@@beauregardrippey5508 lol, I mean compare durability/quality temp retention.. etc.
@@elindquist5725 what am i, yer personal product tester? Go buy one each and find out
4:52 Honestly bro... His friends' reaction on the side kinda makes me think it wasn't a prank lol
Hehe ... True story
Me and my buddy went down to go see some girl I knew at a local college.
"Permission to come aboard sir."
Destroyers don't wait for you. That's the moral of the story.
My friend's "hood piercing" got caught on her bfs "shaft" piercing on an exit stroke and it was basically a horror movie.
Yeah, if both participants are going to wear armour at the same time then they are just asking for a mishap.
The cruise ship won’t leave if you’re late because of a cruise run excursion runs late but if you’re just late they’ll leave you
You get a cruise card at the beginning of the cruise and use it to ‘ sign out’ when you leave the ship. That way they know who’s on the ship and if you left.
Cruises do not wait for people they leave people at ever stop they make
I feel like Urkel's catch phrase is perfect for this. "Did I do that?"
i went on a cruise once and they scan your braclet id thing on entry and exit of the ship, but they will leave you behind 20 minutes from call time and you have to fly to next port to get back on. we even had someone die on board ( elderly woman heart attack, nothing sinister) and they had to come be taken off by a boat because theyd already left port like an hour ago and the ship wasnt gonna go back.
Years back there was a Story about Parents who were left behind and their kids were on the ship.
that 1st dude, make sure you tune that computer off, plus i love the way everyone straight knew what he was doing even the girls, and girl in the middle leaning in closer with her coffee
Its fake. its an ad. theres a vid of them rehearsing
Mutiny against the ship hoppers.😮
I really thought the guy asked about having to beat off a lot of American men was going to say "there was some stiff competition"... Am I alone on that one? LOL.. Love the show, take care.
Lol my favorite is when you look at the person in the car next to you and they are picking their nose like no one can see them, just going to town knuckle deep in that $#!t
Us bros should be able to compliment our junk and trucks!
Like "Hey man, you're butt is lookin' great today! Wanna go do the stuff we usually do"
I will deff 100% give u compliments on anything I c, IF IT'S WARENTED!! but on the other end, if ur wrecked,I shall let u know that too.. o.O anyone should b able to compliment anything u are willing to show.. I wish EVERYONE could give and recieve genuine compliments..
Cruises dont wait, ive seen countless people get left behind, this is in fact discussed routinely in cruise videos. My guess is there was some other delay, and she was just oblivious to the fact she was even late.
some cruises do wait some don't but those that do wait can and often impose heavy fines upon the person who delayed the ships departure
You can find plenty of videos where people are on the Cruise ship laughing at people who came back too late and being left on Whatever random island they were at
As someone from Michigan, I also thought they meant the Stanley Cup and I was just as confused lol
On the cruise, if you get off at the stops and go do adventures or tours. If you are not back on time, they will indeed leave you at that port.
I've been on around 4 cruises in the past ten years and there have been ships that leave if someone misses the departure time.
I use to love watching leon from day 1 of him making vids but now i only watch if Mrs. Lush is in it lmao
7:02 wholesomely funny
Don't feel bad Leon, I thought the same thing about the Stanley cup. Was definitely confused! 😂😂
amen
12:34 Lol Yeah I thought they were talking about THE Stanley Cup too.
I taught Kindergarten through zoom...it was about as chaotic as it sounds. There was one bonus though, I could mute them! 🤣
*ROCK THE TOE!*
Edit: YES The boat will wait for a little while but there are plenty of videos on RUclips with people running and yelling "STOP!"
they absolutely take "attendance" on a cruise
thank you again mrs lush :)
Favorite dish girl was straight out of miss congeniality.. 😆
My ass almost got left in Bermuda when I was 8, because I nearly missed the boat. lololol
Haha I went the the NHL with the Stanley Cup too🤣🤣🤣
My ex’s uncle was a big shot doctor down in Atlanta, when we went on a Disney cruise one year with the entire family, he was late. They held that cruise ship for almost 2 hours!! Until he finally showed up via helicopter and we could get underway 🤦🏻♀️
12:24 Haha! I thought the same thing. Very confused. Never heard of that brand.
Mrs. Lush is the dish!
12:22 Today I found out those are called Stanley Cups. I never knew that and I’m obviously a huge hockey fan (my pfp) Go Bruins! So I was confused AF
