I've tested this with two products, and the comparison between magsafe of the iphone itself, and the case. My conclusion is that these cases are significantly weaker than the original magnets on the iphone. So don't let these other youtubers tell you any different! Subscribe for more HONEST video's.
I have the Civillan and Pathfinder in MagSafe for the 14 Pro max and use both with the MagSafe pop socket and have no problems at all with the mag strength also use it with a MagSafe holder in a tractor trailer unit that I bounce down gravel roads all day with absolutely no issues at all. Has not even come off once.
I want to believe you, but it’s nearly impossible. If it’s true though, good for you. But I’ve seen nearly all cases in the last week that exist for the new iPhone, and I can tell you for certain these are among the weakest.
1) Not using "made for magsafe" magnet (or the ring would be round with tail ) 2) overall weight added to the already heavy phone, dynamic force can be several to ten times of static load 3) material composition (magnetic) 4) material thickness, geometry 5) overall contact surface & friction its a strong and stylish cover, but not useful with Magsafe for UAG, it is not a problem lying on the table and magsafe charge puck lying on top but never tlted in a angle on a stand, especially car mount 😃
I have the monarch pro Kevlar for the 14 Pro Max. I can vouch for the weak and cheap magnets. Awesome case with that downfall. Especially for the price. It’s going back.
I got the same. Case and. When u put like the power bank or wallet u can see that there’s a part of the case that don’t let it sit flush. And make it so much easier to fall off will not keep the case. Even Dow I love the look and feal
I have an UAG magsafe case as well and the magsafe on the inside came lose when the phone is getting al little bit warmer. I’m also very dissapointed.. not the UAG quality i’m used to!
Good work mate , a lot of reviews do not mention the magnet aspect much at all , i might add to case unhappiness , i have had my 12 pro max in an apple silicon case for 2 years now , and while its done a good job keeping it looked after for very light knocks , the other day i dropped my phone in the kitchen on a hard vinyl covered floor , it landed sort of slightly display side down slightly corner first , and it peeled the corner of the case off , and the phone clearly hit the floor hard by the sound it made , fortunately it was hard vinyl and not cement . So for me in future , if a case is easy to get on , then i will not be buying it , also if there is not a decent lip sitting high and surrounding the display , i also will not be buying it , and as you have pointed out the same goes for the magnet strength aspect. Some the cases on the market they claim as drop protected is quiet laughable , if only a tiny slim bit of silicon case runs around the edge of the display ........ your phone is not protected adequately , and the same goes for it if the case can come off with a drop impact . You got a like and subscribe . Cheers .
I have the UAG Monarch Pro on my iPhone 14 Pro. All I can say is that it's magnet strength is fine to use with the Apple Magsafe charger. I can shake the phone and the Magsafe charger is not coming off. Tried the Apple Magsafe charger as well without the UAG Monarch Pro case, and the magnet strength is similar. I then tried it on the Moft wallet. I can confirm that the magnet is a little bit weaker, plus I can't prop the phone on landscape while the Moft wallet is on stand mode since it interferes with the camera bumps. The only thing I think of is that there must be a QA issue with the UAG cases, which allows some cases with weaker magnets to be released to the market. I don't know, this is my first time to use Magsafe or Magsafe compatible accessories.
As I hate the magnet feature, I prefer when it is easier to take the phone with one hand from the stand than when I have to use a crowbar to detach the device from the charger...
I purchased the Monarch pro love the look of it. I love the feeling it, but because from the bottom raised plastic doesn’t let the MagSafe accessories sit flush I’m thinking I’m not gonna keep the case because Max safe is a dealbreaker for me
I'm glad the Plyo Pro stocks for the S23 Ultra ran out. I bought the non-Pro Plyo instead and it comes in Ash (Plyo Pro for S23U only comes in Ice). I then put Ringke magnetic plate and it holds Magsafe accessories (as well as other magnetic ones) really well!!!
Nice review! Do you think the magnets in this case will hold if it were the Iphone 14 plus instead of the pro max given the less weight the former has?
I got the Monarch Silver Kevlar and I can say I’m very disappointed too for the magnets and the quality of the case overall for the $100 price tag they’re asking for. I bought a Mous 5.0 Kevlar and wow this really is a quality case and it’s worth the $65 they ask for, the interior of the UAG case is hard plastic nothing to protect the phone or the corners like Mous does on its case. I can say that this year UAG cases are a big rip off and they should redesign their cases for better quality and protection including inside the case not just outside. Of course will be sending the UAG back, year after year Mous cases have been improving and this year they really nailed everything you could want from a quality case.
@@Unfilterd watched a couple of videos and saw that it depends on the material of the case you choose, the magnets are stronger on the Leather, Speckled Black Fabric and White Acetate cases, I got the Aramid Fibre one although is not the strongest one on the magnets is still better than the UAG cases.
Thanks man, I was about to purchase the metropolis LT for the 14pro but i need magsafe man, i guess I’ll stick with my caudabe sheath, which by the way, has superb magnets

Thank you for the honest reviews! I was very curious about the magsafe on the new uag cases. You helped answer lots of my questions! 👍
Thanks so much for your kind comment!

Thanks bro! Magsafe is important, I don’t see other youtubers test it to this degree either. Anyway, thanks for watching

Haha that’s only true with the Rokform, no other case has this much difficulty
I purchased the Monarch pro love the look of it. I love the feeling it, but because from the bottom raised plastic doesn’t let the MagSafe accessories sit flush I’m thinking I’m not gonna keep the case because Max safe is a dealbreaker for me
Never thought of that… thanks for letting us know

I agree the magnets are very weak in my plyo compared to a cellhelmet magnitude
I don’t use MagSafe. Bought the new IPhone just because Monarch Pro carbon looks stunning.
Thanks. I appreciate real reviews like this one.
You’re welcome!
I agree 100%. Uag cases are good except the MagSafe is horrible. I haven’t found a case that has good magnets 🤷♂️
Yes! You’re right
Nice review! Do you think the magnets in this case will hold if it were the Iphone 14 plus instead of the pro max given the less weight the former has?
If you’re not throwing it around like I am, it might just do the job, just don’t expect any wonders
So far, I try is ok. It’s seems like your car phone holder magnet is not forming a ring, hence 2 points contact only
Ordered a iPhone 14 pro max, what’s your best go to case to get ?
Smartish Gripzilla, Benks magclap mist, casetify for design
Im so glad I saw you're video I thought my case was not original or It was defective, love the case sucks I can't use my MagSafe popsocket 😆

I agree although Mous has weak magnets too

New case designs every couple months to accommodate unnecessary yearly upgrades are starting to catch up imo.
Love your video. It helped a lot. Thank you❤
I got essential armor in white color but now it turns yellowish… so disappointed
Thanks man, I was about to purchase the metropolis LT for the 14pro but i need magsafe man, i guess I’ll stick with my caudabe sheath, which by the way, has superb magnets
No problem! Stay tuned, I have alot of good magsafe cases coming up
UAG MagSafe for iPhone 14 was really weak this year.😢
Sadly yes…
the magnet on my case for my s23 ultra is barely magnetic. $90 down the drain for the monarch pro
Yeah sad to hear it. They should’ve done better
Thank you for making this video!!! Saved me from buying it!
You’re welcome
thanks for the real review
Expensively made in mexico! i just like the looks of them!
Bought monarch pro kevlar for samsung S23 ultra... Magsafe is practically useless.
maybe the problem are the accessories attach to the case. I think
It is simply not true, because I’ve tested this with the bare iphone and they were stronger. The case’s magnets are just weak
@@Unfilterd oh no. I used to love uag on my 11 pro, anyways, thank you for the heads up. ☺️
smartish gripzilla might be considered (from your video)
I DONT WHY BUT THIS TIME UAG CASES ARE NOT THAT WELL FITTED WITH IPHONE
Bought a UAG MagSafe case and the MagSafe magnets were transferred from the case to my phone… UAG MagSafe cases sucks 👎👎👎
first one is not good
Maybe it’s the magnets on your crappy accessories 🤷🏻♂️. I’ve seen plenty of other videos and the magnets are just fine!!
Lmao, that wouldn’t explain why they stick better to the iphone itself though? But nice try
Magbak is one of the best magsafe accessories…
