To answer your question: This was meant to be a 9 minute drama MV (Tick Tick Boom MV and Zealous) were meant to be combined but due to fan feedback they decided to split them up, and this and the other part (Zealous) are both title tracks, they're promoting them both on music shows and consider them as equal! So now instead of having one 9 min MV with two songs they split the MVs! If you want you could check out Zealous, it's much more "traditional" K-pop style. Also your assumptions were correct, the battles are references to the battles they had in the show (fun fact, there was direct battles between some of the own CLASS:y members themselves) and the intro is meant to reflect the way they were before the show!

The video is absolutely phenomenal. The way they made it into an easily digestible story helped sell the song. I'm not sure what's going on with cb, but I heard it's a double title track with 1 9min vid that they split into 2 because it was too long. Supposed to be Tick Tick Boom and Zealous back to back. So origin story and then their debut music style I guess
they have a distinct concept which is between being youthful and classy that suits them really well. they have so much class yet so much energy as well. i can’t explain how they can give off two vibes at once or i guess they switch it between two songs like youthful for shut down and zealous then class for classy and tick tick boom. they are one of the best gg in 4th gen
this was REALLY good. This is one of the best kpop mv's i've seen this year, my eyes were glued to the screen the entire time and by the end of it i felt like i've known these girls my whole life even tho i've only heard of them by name. Both the group and the company really are very passionate to what they are doing. Props to them all. Video wise, when I first watched both Zealous and TTB, I actually loved TTB more. As a fan who watched the whole survival show, the emotional factor TTB provided is crazy. The song is also unique, slow-paced, no rap, no drop type of song. This really is a bold way of doing a comeback, and it's genius that they chose to have double title track as both Zealous and TTB are very different from each other. I'm thankful to M25 for being dedicated to CLASS:y, they deserve it, if not more.
Closeup shots look nice and crisp, as they were shooting wide open (by the looks of it on 85mm 1.4 / 135mm f2) and they gathered a ton of detail, resulting in general softness at the bokeh areas of course. The digital look is imo. from noise reduction and a general softening of the luma channels (resulting in a watercolor / median filter style look). There is also a bloom filter thrown on top in post, or if they were real OG's, they used a softening filter in camera (I doubt it). They might have shot it at 60 fps, but that would make no difference / benefit in any way once you publish at 30. The sharp action look comes from the shutter speed (you would just dump the unused frames anyway). Really enjoying your channel by the way, love the fact that you look at it from a video creator's perspective! Stay strong

Definitely a sample and remastered song! Zealous is a 4mins song and more worth it to see him react than tick tick boom.
