    Hello, thank you so much for sharing. I'm a striving cake decorator and I haven't done of lot of modelling, especially with animals. Your tutorial was a lifesaver!! I think I made my duckies are tad too big for the 8" cake but they're adorable and I'm sure the three-old customer would be quite pleased. It's wonderful of you to share your talent. Blessed!

    this ducky is really cute.. i wonder, how do you keep the fondant head and body shape from sagging while wait it drying? did you add tylose?

      hi:) they don't sag because I use a modeling paste Saracino and it's perfect for keeping shape. You also don't have to wait for your bottom pieces to dry:) I used to add tylose to my regular fondant (it did make it better and easier to make figurines) but then I discovered Saracino, and now I love it and wouldnt go back to fondant and tylose method

    Wow! So cute! How do you make it such a bright yellow color?

      I think it might be my camera making it a little bit brighter than it is, but I used just a yellow gel food coloring from "food colours" to make this color, nothing more

    That is so cute. I love it. Thank you for sharing it. I was wondering how do you make it not to dry out or having cracks in the fondant?

    • @just_cake_it
      @just_cake_it  8 лет назад

      thank you, I'm using special modeling paste Saracino, and it doesnt dry out and gets cracks. If you want to use normal fondant you should add some tylose in powder to it , this should help

    Is there a way to make this without a toothpick? I don't want anyone at the party to get hurt biting into their cupcakes.

      you can always just tell people to take it apart first before they will eat it:) but you can just use edible glue and hold the head in the right place but supporting it with paper towels on the sides, and leaving it like this until it will dry completly. But I think this is good just for simple figurine like this duck, I wouldn't risk it with a standing human figurine for example
