Interested in trying Twitter more as been absolutely fed up with Instagram last few months, the stuff it wants to show me and what it promotes to the general audience is of no insterest to me as well as my work getting less and less reach, because it’s not tits, ass , pranks or luxury showoffs. I’m going to give Twitter more love the next few weeks, thanks for the tips
Hi Jonny! My name is Geeta and i love photography. I’m not a professional photographer, it’s a passion for me and maybe someday i make it a source of living. I have been following you since a month i guess and i just find your videos so helpful and very interesting! Thank you for sharing! I’ve recently joined twitter, not been a week yet and it’s a brilliant platform. I already follow some of the tips you have shared and will work on the ones i had no idea about. Once again, thank you very much for sharing your expertise. It really helps us newbies to grow our account and make it visible. Have a great day!
I just found this as a result of recently picking my camera back up again after a few years. I decided to re-activate my twitter account. Great to see useful tips. Next is to determine if my website is worth re-activating/fixing
I'm much closer to add new account to Twitter for my photos than before. I miss old good days in Instagram. So if you think here I can find something like that I definitely should try! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about that!
I've been thinking about this for a while now but I've seen a couple of people talking about Twitter lately and I'm curious. Thanks for the tips I'll give it a shot!!
You have to create meaningful content on Twitter. If you use it just as an advertising medium, then you're less likely to engage followers who are not just bots and trolls You have to find a community and commit to it by getting involved in some way. Instagram is like old-school TV in which the big names seem to think they have no real need to engage on any meaningful level.
Thanks mate, big fan of your work. And, I only just found out that I wasn’t even following(until now) you just kept popping up on my feed I assumed I was following :)
I've never had an interest in Twitter and you've proposed a convincing case. That sounds like some place I want to be to share my photos and artwork. Since Mark Zuck took over Instagram, its been a struggle. I follow 400 and it shows two of them and then tells me there's no new posts, here's some suggested ones. It's dumb. This sounds really cool Jonny, thank you. P.S. You're quickly becoming my favorite guy, I just really love how you think. It's different, and different is very helpful.
Thank you for the tips! Been trying to break through the twitter photography scene on twitter but wasn't sure how besides following a bunch of other photographers lol...will give these a go!
What a great video! All the tips are very well explained and right to the point! I was clueless about Twitter, but not anymore 😅 Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge in such a professional manner. 🙏🏻
Sorry for digging this out of the past, but as a photographer just starting on Twitter your videos have been super helpful! I'm not someone that is interested in artificially inflating followers, but I do want to get my pictures in front of people that might be interested in them. Do you have any recommendations as to good photography hashtags, or how to understand on Twitter what the popular hashtags are? I dont want to random spam #'s as I like to talk about my images when I post them, but I feel a bit like I'm talking to myself on Twitter at the moment :) Anyway thanks for the great content, you are really helping the community!
I have found that keywords work better than hashtags. By simply starting a sentence with photographers it seems to reach a lot more people provided the tweet gets engagement.
I joined this week! Love your videos. Would you do one on the future of feature accounts on Instagram? I run 2 feature hubs but lately have felt they might be a thing of the past. 🤷🏽♀️
Thank you for these tips. I’m struggling to understand how Twitter is a good fit for photographers. So far, my photography Twitter experience has been 80% NFT tweets. 😐
Awesome 👏 will check it out. You always help us out. We love you :) Yes! also Jonny tell us how do you edit your videos as I make videos too but I make it from my Phone with an app. Do you have any tips for us. I really want to make more great videos for my channel
does anyone know how photographers stack 3 pictures together? seen so much on twitter lol prob the dumbest question ever, is it an app or something? :(
Agree with everything you said mate. As I have just found. Don’t get caught up in politics. You will get muted and loose followers as I found. Currently suspended so I have learnt the hard way 🤦♂️🤷♂️😂 Luckily I have a second account lol.
Yes I assumed but wanted to confirm, how do you make it stick? I tried it because I saw it on some other pages but I can't seem to get it together!@@ItsJonnyKeeley
See the thing is that you’re already established. You probably started early during the glory years of Instagram and established yourself. It’s not as easy as you make it out to be. Just luck of the Irish.

Go for it, if you have renewed energy for it it’s good to keep the momentum up! 💪
Thank you that was really helpfull with instagram being concentrated with videos right now.

❤️Im a coder should i create a separate account for my photography hobby and pictures i took📷
It is like you can read my mind. I was about to ask you for this. Thanks Jonny!
What’s the maximum image size(px) for your photo to look sharp on Twitter?
Would you recommend uploading to Twitter and Instagram separately or hit the option on insta to upload to Twitter and Facebook at the same time?
Separately. Each platform requires a slightly different tone of communication, in my opinion.
I've been thinking about this for a while now but I've seen a couple of people talking about Twitter lately and I'm curious. Thanks for the tips I'll give it a shot!!
Thanks bro! It was really helpful!
I really want to try using twitter as well, thanks for your tips!
May need to get back on twitter... Never got the hang of it but could be worth a try now that I'm not a fan of insta!
Never hurts to diversify, your on four then right? IG TIkTok YT and Twitter they all compliment each other well.

Twitter vs Instagram vs FB....which the best platform to grow on?
