The reason the plates will fail is that you are no longer allowed anything other than pure black letters/numbers on a plate from Jan/Feb 2020. I had carbon effect lettering and mine almost failed for that. Luckily I carry spare plates. Also it’s law to have the plate makers name and postcode on the bottom. That’s an instant failure as well for a jobsworth.
Oh really? I wasn’t aware of that! Surprisingly this wasn’t this issue it was the spacing between the ‘FL and 57’ that they had an issue with! Oh well its passed now have not got to deal with it for another year 😂
@@FLOORitofficial absolutely! For the price it's so worth it!! How do you find the car drives with the stage 2 tune, as that's the only thing I'm yet to do, as I'm going to do rod bearings first, although mine has only done 47k miles
Mate the car is insane now! I will be doing a review on the map in the next month or so as the restrictions are lifted as i have not managed to really push the car yet! But from first impressions I would not have the car without it! 😂 Yes get the bearings done 100% , I had mine done at 57k miles and they were mildly worn (video is on the channel if you are interested) but always good to have piece of mind!
I'm thinking about getting ModStock gutted cats but worried it will be too loud with my current 4 pipe mod. Did you notice a huge change in volume or is it more the tone of the exhaust that changes after gutting the cats?
Hmm , yes the gutted cats would add volume however I’m not sure how much louder it would actually be with than a normal 4pipe! It would really add some tone to the exhaust note and the added power though! I would send it and get it done for the power alone 😂
There 2 garages that I will never take my car to, one is Halfords the other is BMW. Far too many horror stories. Your plates are “illegal” due to spacing. It’s all down to how strict the tester is.
Anpr won’t work with bad no plate spacing. I would rather get a picky mot man who does it right. Safer for me and fam. Not a fan of bad spacing on no plates squeezing a word or a meaning. Sorry just buy the one that says it. 👍👍
Mine passed two weeks ago with modstock test pipes.
Awesome choice 👌🏻 test pipes sound so good ! Any issues with the visual or no problems? 😁
@@FLOORitofficial no problems at all..tester commented on how nice a job it was. Passed emmissions so he was fine.
Wow! Give me his number for next year 😂 can’t believe I got failed due to my plate 😂
@@FLOORitofficial probably gets comission on selling plates.(jobsworth)
Exactly that I bet 😂😂

Mine passed with the modstock decat too, mine wasn't even really up to temp either!
Nice! Yes its just a precaution, as they can pass on cold as well! just better to be safe than sorry! 😁 Such a good mod it changes the car completely!

@@FLOORitofficial nice one mate, look forward to the review!
Hello, would this be the same for n54 335i straight 6 engines?
“…love this car!” The opening scene made me give you a thumbs up. Awesome content!
Haha thanks Daniel 😁 Glad you enjoyed it!

Never again that’s for sure 😂 even for an MOT 😂
