      +Smith Smith I lived in Ipswich for a few months once and heard many stories about the place/area. Which one are you refering to?

      that's great but what about all the Germans in the sea.? and the fire's hence the misteries ect - was it all true.?

      Yes the Germans were all killed, their charred bodies were washed up on the shore having been burnt to death from all the oil set alight in the sea

      Actually NO Germans were killed, this was just a myth, it was English personal on a training opps - I have since done some of my own research being a local resident from native Sutton, please read a book by James Hayward 'shingle street' - further more are you aware of the secret tunnels in the area of bawdsey manor.?

      Dear sir, I forgot to ask if you are or were a local resident of the fore mentioned area.? if so do you remember seeing the 'Blood hound' missiles on the r.a.f base in the 80's.? kind regards cj.
