Y'all did really good. That was smart working in quadrants. I used a regular "organic" sweet potato from the grocery store and we will be harvesting in a few more days. I did not know the rain rots them. I hope mine are ok.
if you can grow sweet potato in your area, you should also try to grow ginger & turmeric (if not try it yet) sweet potato, ginger & turmeric need similar growing requirement / climate

Great harvest! I grew sweet potatoes in a couple containers last year. I’m a novice gardener, I was so proud of myself, LOL! Then I researched curing them. In trying to cure them I ruined them. I’m in Iowa, zone 5b. Since you’re in Michigan, I’m wondering how you cure your sweet potatoes?

Oooohhh, when you said you had somebody in Texas for that cat, I actually thought you meant me for a second there 😂. I find it fascinating that, as hot and droughty we get... we having the Same weather as you in Michigan basically. Cold, not frozen, rained for a week... 40's and 50's ? Yep!! This ain't fair 😂😂 I'm supposed to be rewarded with some extra growing season for all this heat!!! I'm being robbed!! 😂
