damn man... i've watched that 1995 performance over and over again and this is the part that in my opinion is the hardest move to make... 14 years later and that move is still at a level ahead of our time... you definitely paid homage to it, very very well done... im sure you know how many simultaneous coordinations are required to pull this off, and you have pulled it off awesomely. well done, 5 stars
btw i should also say that your tutoring is quite good.. you go over the moves slowly and repeatedly and explain every little coordination required... you actually put yourself in the mind of a novice and talk how a novice would want to be talked to... seeing how advanced this is

Moonwalk is pretty easy to learn, but it took me 20 days to achieve it...I even learn how to Lean within 10 days, Airwalk took me only 10 mins to learn XD.. Circle Glide took me 3 days to do it, and this robot walk took me 2 days..

I just wish he would have showed himself in the beginning or in end pulling this move completely in one take and then teaching step by step. So viewer can get an overview on how it would look in end. Because otherwise you have to switch it back to mike clip back and forth.

@@a.b.4052 Yes Poppin Taco (rest his soul) did indeed teach MJ animation as well as other poppin techniques. He worked as one of MJ’s choreographers for a long time. The specific robot walk of this video is MJ’s own though, he freestyled it during the 1995 MTV VMA performance.

Hey thanks :)! You have to contract your muscles. You know the feeling you have when you lift something heavy? Your muscles have to work hard and contract. With this dance technique it's about doing the same but in an instant at the right moment (the sound of the music).

This is actually Bruno Falcon's (Poppin Taco) Sinbad animation walk. Look it up online to see the guy who taught Michael how to do it.
