Never caught this one. Very good! Best part is substituting "crazy bass junkie" with "advanced user". One time i had 13 subs on furniture movers and a mic. I felt more like the former.
Good Morning Gene. I want to say to all you, thank you ! Very interesting theme. I’m a very advance user and I found answers to some doubts. I made small corrections in my system that are very fine.
I tried forever to get my dual subs to play together. Finally I'm moved my couch like a foot back which was almost against the back wall where you never put your seat and BOOM my subs had a near perfect response before eq!
I love immersive audio, so i often watch most of these videos though i don't know much about technical part😇 ( how to make settings like bass management, eq, levels etc, room measurements and its evaluation 🤠 my small home theater, done by a local technician ss not bad. But don't know if it can do much better as he himself not familiar with latest technology
As long as you are not touching the walls you are good ^^ :) Try to take out the bottom bass trap and replace it with the sub into the corner properly. With 4 subs you will find that some of your old bass traps are no longer needed...
a questions. For multiple sub with minidsp and equipment have dirac live. should we time align and eq the multiple sub using dsp then run the dirac live? or just time align the multiple sub using minidsp and let dirac live do the eq?
@@Audioholics thanks for the reply. Another questions, I am sure storm audio can do bass management and LFE set to separate subwoofer. What if for example I have 2 stack of subwoofer on each corner (total of 8 subwoofers). The bottom sub for LFE and the top is for bass management ( all bass from any speakers set as small going to this sub), so 4 subs in each corner plays LFE and the other 4 as bass management. Will this setting better than all the subs (8 subs) plays bass management and LFE? Signal for bass management and LFE is different right?
@@Audioholics there is a problem when all 8 subwoofer working together and the sound wiill messed up. I can make 4 of bottom sub working nicely and 4 top sub working nicely also. And I try to make each group working nicely and also make all 8 subs working nicely, unfortunately does not work. position of the sub, 2 fronts sub in each corner is equal distant to MLP. so the 2 rear subs also equal distant to the MLP, with bottom sub delay 7ms and top sub delay 6ms. I guess I can choose both worlds. either each 4 subs working independently or all 8 subs working together.
@@1psxpat I'm wondering about your room size / power output and combination ( all identical or a mix of size/manufacturer ) of your subwoofers. But really would possibly consider that 8 subwoofers are simply overloading your room with low frequencies and causing your sound quality issues
did you gain match your subs before running REW with the MiniDSP and when applying the EQ on REW did you just EQ it to a flatline response or did you properly implement a "House Curve" which is really required unless you 100% of the time listen at Reference levels. If you are not already familiar with the RUclips channel "Home Theater Gurus" you should check out his tutorials - ruclips.net/video/tDaZT5G0Mwg/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/_A6gPCczhuU/видео.html for Multiple sub set up with MiniDSP.
My Klipsch 12-inch subwoofer in my 7.1 system does not realistically reproduce Music instruments. Compared to my Klipsch Sound Bar 40 with 8-inch Sub it actually plays music very good. My Klipsch Sound Bar 40 has a more balanced sound than my 7.1 system. My 12-inch klipsch subwoofer sounds like a rubber mallet striking a thick steel plate. And NOT like a musical instrument. More like a “FLAT THUMP” than a Drum.
40 minutes in and I’m starting to realize there is no new information. Exact same slides and information as the last time Anthony came. Reuploading the earlier series would not waste the time of viewers or ya’ll 3 like this pointless video does

Future subwoofer topic, opposing drivers in subs, which way to have them facing? How to measure them.
I put my JTR Captivator 4000ULF-LP sub, a 265lb beast, on the ceiling. That sure was lots of fun.
Is having a 3rd sub already better than having 2 subs or do you need to have 4 to get a way better results than with 2 ?
Hey guys! Great tutorial! Does the delay trick work with 2 subs and a single listening position?

Standing waves and null zones. Try with 4 subs next, not just two and place them in the corners. You can eliminate a lot of problems this way.
@@bloodcarver913 why would I spend the money to do that when I fixed the problem by moving the couch...
@@BradSteeg because reflections? Or why would it do that?
Where do you get these dolby atmos demo disks . I've tried finding them online but no luck. Just a couple of short video downloads

If you're corner loading subs, how close to the corner does it have to be to be considered corner loaded? In front of the bass traps?

Time align and level match with most, then run Dirac

@@1psxpat you should put LFE to ALL subs but the Storm allows you to decide that for yourself and install a HPF if needed.
