I saw Johnny Winters in Burlington Iowa in an old 500 seat theater, and He started the show with a headless guitar. I swear in about 10 notes I realized I was in the presence of Greatness. I actually teared up in Awe.
Yeah, agree. Which is great because I ordered a Zeus during the July 4 sale with Beryllium pickups. I went back and forth between those and the other models but I think I these will be fine.
Thanks for a great review. I’ve been waiting 14 weeks for my Kiesel and it’s coming in a couple hours. I always get anxious waiting and this review actually calmed my nerves and got me excited. Thanks cool dude!
I love Tim Millers instructional videos and books. I have both is 212 arpeggio books and his creative fretboard visualization book in a digital and physical format. Also the more I see headless guitars the more I want one. Just need to find the money.
Nice review! This one has been on my radar since its launch, a headless guitar that specs exactly how I want except a few details. Still waiting one day Kiesel offering the trem option so I can place my order right away :0
I love headless guitars, bought my first Steinberger Spirit in 2002, still have it. Most of my guitars are headless, with my Kiesel Osiris headless being my favorite. Have a great Labor Day weekend!
I also love my Steinberger Spirit, but Gibson seems to have killed the brand resulting in lack of replacement parts - especially my bridge which has worn out. My 2022 Kiesel Zeus headless is now my fav - it's really light with perfect fretwork, and the Hipshot trem is one of the best.
My Tim Miller is probably the easiest playing guitar I’ve ever had out of the box. It’s the only new Kiesel I’ve had my hands on. (Still waiting on another build) I’m really liking this guitar.
used to have a kiesel vader. incredible piece of kit, parted ways with it because I ordered it as an everything guitar, and it did do that, but that ended up being more of a hassle. can't get one anymore with the dollar being higher than when I ordered it and the prices having gone up since but I will say that it's the best built guitar I've ever played. Special mention to the trem springs, Kiesel inserts foam pieces inside the coils to dampen vibration which is just incredible attention to detail. only minuses were the weight and the fact that the piezo switch was transistor based, meaning that playing was always drawing from the battery, even on the passive pickups
That looks so good! And sounds great! I bought the HH Ibanez Quest 6 months ago and got lucky with a sub 5# one. Not selling off my headed guitars, but I love how it "fits" me. I'm 6'1" and it feels compact but looks normal because it's basically a Strat (unlike the Strandberg with the extra bite in the lower bout). My bandmates thought it looked funny without the headstock, but they love that it stays in tune! My favorite feature as well. It's basically a locking nut, and the ball ends are super close to the saddles. There's just no place for the strings to slip.
That guitar is absolutely beautiful !! I can't really justify buying one though because I already bought a Strandberg to scratch the headless itch. The neck carve on the Strandberg also works well when my arthritis is acting up. The output jack location on your new Kiesel would drive me nuts though.... I would have to change that somehow.
Nice! I just picked up a used Strandberg Boden Standard NX8 (yeah....I'm liking the 8 string guitars a lot! ...but for Ambient Guitar! or Prog stuff.) and I really like their basic passive pickups and the way tey have their 5 way switch hooked up. Pretty cool sounds, but nowhere as nice of a look as this beauty.
I have a headless Ibanez Multiscale bass, which I really like. But...my Kiesel CT6 is my best instrument hands down. Boy, I REALLY want a headless Kiesel Thanos bass. :)
Kiesel would benefit from nipping fret tangs, since they won't do binding. I personally do not like exposed fret tangs on fretboards anymore, and I love it when companies will either offer binding or fret slots which prevent from fret sprout.
I'm thinking seriously about getting a Kiesel. I have an older Carvin that is an excellent guitar. I have 2 of everything else that I like. LPs, strats, and teles. I know I can't go wrong with a Kiesel but a third LP or strat is always enticing. You just get those premium features on a Kiesel that you don't get anywhere else. SS frets, locking tuners, ebony fretboard, and the playability will be perfection. I love the pups in my Carvin, too, and I can tell from this video that the current pups are just as good, if not better?
I like my older Carvin CM130 I bought new..Best playing guitar I have ever played 🎸..I like those M22 HB pickups they use to use..I have an extra new M22 Scorcher HB pickup I may put in another guitar..👍👍
Sounds great and I'm happy you like it, I think it's awful looking but that's just because it's not my vibe at all. I like the fretboard though, those 'stealth' markers are pretty nice.
Cont. Your tone was beautiful that you used. Just wondering what effects you were using to get that. Your guitar you are demoing is very nice looking. I like the finish and appointments you chose are super cool!👍
Phil, beautiful guitar! What amp/pedals/settings did you use on the background music to get that sweet sound in the bass strings? I’ve been looking for that sound.
gorgeous craftsmanship, as to be expected from Kiesel, but the missing headstock looks too goofy to me, I'll never own one. I also don't see any benefit that would outweigh that odd look. Other than that, piece of art and I'll own a Kiesel some day too, but a complete one ;-) Sounds fantastic and what gorgeous wood!
Keisel are awesome, I'm a big fan! But I really don't like that bridge. I found it to be a pain to tune and it get very easily out of tune if you touch the tuners accidently.
Hi Phil, that is one beautiful axe, well made, nice design, great appointments and pickup configuration. You wouldn’t even know it’s headless because the colours draw your eye to the illuminating body colours. Well done, great review. Loved it. Cheers ✌️🎸
Smaller size and portability with maybe more chance of taking it into a plane and perhaps some improvement to sustain since the strings are held down so securely at both ends.
I just can't get over how they look. I just think a headless guitar looks funny and strange to me. You think I'm crazy? You like headless guitars, but would you date a headless girl?
Since you're on a headless craze and you've never checked out Ormsby... you definitely need to check out the Ormsby Goliath. Best headless guitar on the market.
The "not actual footage" cracked me up.
I saw Johnny Winters in Burlington Iowa in an old 500 seat theater, and He started the show with a headless guitar. I swear in about 10 notes I realized I was in the presence of Greatness. I actually teared up in Awe.
Kiesel made me love headless guitars…I hate how many Kiesels I want…someday!
It's a "Smiley" hole Phil - it is a Happy Guitar... that is one hell of a wonderful instrument, I am really pleased for you.
That’s sounds phenomenal. It’s very warm sounding.
Yeah, agree. Which is great because I ordered a Zeus during the July 4 sale with Beryllium pickups. I went back and forth between those and the other models but I think I these will be fine.
If there ever was a video that made me want to get a kiesel, this is it. What a beautiful and well-constructed guitar. Thanks for sharing
Got my first Strandberg Monday. I’ve had dozens of guitars and can’t believe how much I love this thing.
Thanks for a great review. I’ve been waiting 14 weeks for my Kiesel and it’s coming in a couple hours. I always get anxious waiting and this review actually calmed my nerves and got me excited. Thanks cool dude!

You look happy looking at your new guitar. It's beautiful. Great birthday present
Hi Guitar 🎸 Guy nice video 📹 and workmanship nice Guitar's in both shows !!!
My Tim Miller is probably the easiest playing guitar I’ve ever had out of the box. It’s the only new Kiesel I’ve had my hands on. (Still waiting on another build) I’m really liking this guitar.
Hope you have a good Labor Day weekend Phil!
As always Phil, thanks for the review
Very interesting choice. I was wondering about this model.
Thats a lovely sounding guitar, Im not a fan of headless but that tone is gorgeous and the finish on the guitar is perfect.
That is a gorgeous guitar !!
I usually don’t use two humbuckers at once, but I do use two single coils at once, so I could work with that set up

Sounds great and that top is beautiful
Kiesel just kills it.....

Kiesel certainly know their stuff
Love my headless Kiesels. Rock solid guitars
I have an ibanez that is competing for number 1. Its pushing my strat out. This kiesel is just exquisite. May have to sell some stuff.
Sweet looking guitar indeed. The color is awesome. But without a headstock, I'd probably make me feel like I have a broken guitar.😅
Such a contrast the front and back
I have a headless Ibanez Multiscale bass, which I really like. But...my Kiesel CT6 is my best instrument hands down. Boy, I REALLY want a headless Kiesel Thanos bass. :)
Stunning! im just imagining how sweet one of these would be with a Kiesel trem but im not sure that is an option since its semi hollow?
Dang Tim miller model is totally unique. I’m keen on it as a solid body. Neck through, 22fret headless?? Yes please
Monster burst reminds me of Sully from Monsters Inc.
It’s a great looking finish.
Looks like a shark gill sound hole.🤔
This sounds as good as it looks! Nice addition to your collection.😉
Kiesel would benefit from nipping fret tangs, since they won't do binding. I personally do not like exposed fret tangs on fretboards anymore, and I love it when companies will either offer binding or fret slots which prevent from fret sprout.
All Yamaha guitars have no fret tang showing, doesn't matter if it's $99 or $1999
This is a cool guitar
Damn - another guitar that I have to own. Headless!!!!!
Greetings friends and Hello Phillip.
Greetings! 🤘
Sweet guitar, would like you to try out there ct6 model and compare it to the PRS...
When do you get your custom G&L? Many of us are waiting to see it.
If you love it, you love it. Defintely not my cup of tea, but I'm glad it has a good home.
I love my Kiesel Zeus!
Wait you had a kiesel Vader first right?
I'm thinking seriously about getting a Kiesel. I have an older Carvin that is an excellent guitar. I have 2 of everything else that I like. LPs, strats, and teles. So this is the 3rd perfect guitar you've reviewed then? I don't have any kiesels but my carvin basses are on par with warwick
Cool guitar!
Sounds great and I'm happy you like it, I think it's awful looking but that's just because it's not my vibe at all. I like the fretboard though, those 'stealth' markers are pretty nice.
Hi Phil, at about 14 minutes you do a playing demo lead over top of a repeating phraze
Cool guitar
It's a beauty. I've definitely come to not like the jack coming out near the bottom. Not great for lazy players like me that like to sit!
Does it have a truss rod? I don’t recall you mentioning that.
Yes they all do at the top end of the neck!
gorgeous craftsmanship, as to be expected from Kiesel, but the missing headstock looks too goofy to me, I'll never own one. I also don't see any benefit that would outweigh that odd look.
Other than that, piece of art and I'll own a Kiesel some day too, but a complete one ;-)
Sounds fantastic and what gorgeous wood!
Careful with that axe Eugene 😅
My left ear really likes this video
Leave it to Richard Dean Anderson to play some MacGyvered headless while he steals your girl. 💯✌🤟🤘
...and at prom, too!
After the Steinberger this is the first headless guitar that matters! What about you? 🤔
Was this your birthday guitar
Yes it was
Keisel are awesome, I'm a big fan! But I really don't like that bridge. I found it to be a pain to tune and it get very easily out of tune if you touch the tuners accidently.
I'd like to see this model compared to the $4000+ Devin Townsend Kiesel. Seems like a better value for almost the same thing.
"...I hate headless guitars cuz the guy who took my girl at the prom played a headless guitar..." CLASSIC
Hi Phil, that is one beautiful axe, well made, nice design, great appointments and pickup configuration. You wouldn’t even know it’s headless because the colours draw your eye to the illuminating body colours. Well done, great review. Loved it. Cheers ✌️🎸
it's a Moon Pie hole 🌛
13:51 I don't want no scrub
This would look incredible if it had a matching headstock. It just looks too lopsided with a thicker body headless
Forget the geeky stuff... let see the dog....🤣
She is a beauty 💘
Thats a standard 5way not a superswitch
Like Jeff Kiesel is the only guy skilled enough to spray this burst 🤣 I will never give this guy my business.
What is the benefit of a headless guitar? It is not esthetics.
Smaller size and portability with maybe more chance of taking it into a plane and perhaps some improvement to sustain since the strings are held down so securely at both ends.
I hate headless guitars, i dont care how good they may play or sound, they look awful 😏
That heel...🤢🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
I just can't get over how they look. I just think a headless guitar looks funny and strange to me. You think I'm crazy? You like headless guitars, but would you date a headless girl?
If you have a headless girl, you have MUCH bigger problems to worry about than a guitar.
Why does it have to be extreme emotion like hate and love? Why can’t you just say you didn’t like it and now you do like it?
clicks
Why feel emotional at all?
Engagement and views. Dude's got a job 😂
Because the internet. There is no room for nuance on the internet. It’s only the best thing ever or the worst
He's got to give you trolls something to talk about
Nope….I don’t like them. Don’t want one. Not for me.
What a helpful comment
@@conorlarkin1111 Gee, sorry if you don’t like my opinion. I guess yours is the only one that counts.
Since you're on a headless craze and you've never checked out Ormsby... you definitely need to check out the Ormsby Goliath. Best headless guitar on the market.
