Why is it wise? Because Babu said it? We both know that it is untrue. We have a very good understanding of how nature works. We understand that it can be a warm enough climate to grow these in certain areas when it is too cold and not possible in others and that it doesn't mean someone added something bad for you. These guys are here to learn so telling them they are right, when you know better only helps you feel better about yourself.

Their minds would be absolutely blown by The Grapery's "Moon Drops" grapes (The Grapery is a grape vineyard in California that grows a number of "specialty" grape varieties). Would probably have to be specially imported, if it's even possible for them to survive the overseas trip?
They're currently ripe here in the USA. I just bought two bags.
"Moon Drops" are long tube-like grapes that are very dark purple/black in color (lots of pigment/antioxidants in the skins), kind of crunchy, and very sweet. IMO, some of the best "table grapes" in the world. I always look forward to them at the end of summer / start of fall.

Very sweet, but the seeds are large. It's almost like eating passionfruit, which also grows wild around here, too. Passiflora incarnata is the scientific name. We also like to call them maypop. Juicy pulp, but you have to eat them a certain way to enjoy the great flavor.

Ther are many more grape varieties, different skin coours, seedless and seeded. Wine grapes are made from different varieties, most are too sour for table grapes. The colour comes from how long the skins are left in the mashed grapes. Before it is put into fermentation storage.

i think he means scientists. and yes, a lot of our food it scientifically altered to grow bigger, better, last longer etc... so it is genetically altered and no longer entirely natural. Livestock is injected with hormones and antibiotics. Also, companies like McDonald's has scientists deliberately fine tuning their food so that people eat more of it.

I think they are talking about injecting as in splicing genes in some crops - and they mean scientists, not necessarily doctors of horticulture/ genetics.
And that is done a lot in America. Some veg seed is greatly improved but spliced to not be fertile in next generation, so farmers can't keep seeds and sell them, but must always buy from company, if they want the new, popular crop. A huge amount of genetic work is being done. A lot cynically, for controlled profit.
