I love how you added knights on your bookshelves to fit the theme of the book 😊😊 very clever

I really want to read this book. I have a random obsession with Arthurian tales :P

Tales of Adventure do you have any favorite books about Arthurian tales?

This is why it's random, I haven't read any :P I have Le Morte d'Arthur and Mists of Avalon on my shelf, but I haven't read them yet. It's more I loved the movie The Sword in the Stone growing up, that's where the love comes from. It's like my obsession with Sherlock but haven't read any of the books yet. I don't know what's wrong with me :P

Wonder if you will mention the anti-Irish/anti-Gaelic themes. Imagine Mordred and others were retold as Jewish, how would that go if being intellecually honest?

THE MENTAL TRAVELER the miniseries is very different, but what I love is that it really develops a friendship and bond between Arthur and Merlin.

That´ll be an interesting concept to explore: to have them learning from each other as "contemporaries" rather than teacher/student, maybe even father/son!

I really liked reading it. I hadn't read much fantasy before I read it, and I love the stories of King Arthur so much, that it was a great read for me. :)

That is the exact same print of the book that I had to read in high school. I never finished (read much of it, to be honest) then, and wanted to read it now because I remember enjoying the Sword in the Stone. I will probably pick up this book from Barnes & Noble this weekend. It didn't know that the other books covered those brothers. That could be interesting because I read about them in the King Arthur and His Knights book by Howard Pyle. I'm not sure, I just wanna read Sword in the Stone, for sure. Thanks for the review.

You're welcome! I'm glad you liked the review. I thought it was a really great book. The Sword in the Stone is a fun story. I like seeing Arthur grow up and learn from Merlin.

British media has you Americans so dense to anti-Irish themes that you would let them turn us into soap e.e
