If that was really a thing it would actually be called "Banana frita recheada com doce de leite" BECAUSE WE SPEAK PORTUGUESE NOT SPANISH!!
Foquinha Bunitinha Plantains are different than bananas and dulce de leche is what caramelised condensed milk is commonly called in English even though it's a Spanish name
Awesomesauce265 we don't eat that things in brazil he wanted to say that the things in the video are not correct because we don't eat that ( i don't know if I wrote write ok?
Bananas (which, in American English, isn't usually applied to pplantains) and plantains are different species of the banana genus, though perhaps the Portuguese language doesn't make a distinction. However, we do distinguish the two in the English language and in American cooking. Dulce de leche is actually part of the English language, one of many crossovers from Spanish. There is no non-Spanish, English word for dulce de leche. Buzzfeed is no doubt well aware that Brazilians speak Portuguese, but since most of their audience speaks English, they wrote the recipes in English.
Luka Krvarić and when I saw Germany I expected an apfelstrudel, like a regular and traditional strudel is or at least how you mostly see them. Not strawberry and chocolate...
I’m french and I’ve never heard of cookie butter in France. They just messed up every traditional dessert from different countries. They should just called it, American versions of international desserts.
That is NOT a german Strudel! Maybe thats how you make them in america, or if you buy the cheap ones from the frozen stuff in the supermarket, but not if you make them yourself
You expect americans to know the difference between an austrian and a german dish? Usually in these types of videos: if it sounds german, it's german. Austria has so many awesome desserts. For a german dessert, they should've gone for either black forest cake or bavarian creme or red fruit jelly with vanilla sauce or something like that. Bavarian creme is god tier, though. Once you eat, you'll never stop. NEVER!
+Krampus If you want to be this precise: 'Strudel is related to the Ottoman Empire's pastry baklava, and came to Austria via Turkish to Hungarian and then Hungarian to Austrian cuisine. ' or if you speak German: 'Vermutlich liegt der Ursprung des Strudelteiges in Arabien, von wo aus er über Ägypten, Palästina und Syrien bis in die Türkei gebracht wurde. Von dort aus gelangte das Rezept nach der Eroberung Konstantinopels im Jahr 1453, möglicherweise aus der türkischen Baklava oder einem gefüllten Fladenbrot weiterentwickelt, über den Balkan nach Wien.'
sorry but why is there only one Asian representative and not even one african representative? you can't call it around the world when you don't include most places. make another one because this isn't around the world.
The way those Victoria sponges were made is so wrong the ingredients are supposed to be added one at a time so they are super light and fluffy 😩😩 this hurt my soul
I really don't want you to be disappointed, but I've never seen this dessert in my life before and I'm from Germany. We have this kind of strudel filled with apples, raisins and cinnamon though. And no, we don't use US currency :D xx
Strudel is Austrian....i come from Germany..and i think a problem is that some austrian dishes are mixed into German culture that the difference between Austrian and German is kinda blurry...nevertheless it's not important as long as the real Strudel tastes good...
@obey guac They could've chosen any dessert that they wanted (from that country). Never said in the title or description that they were made on a regular basis.
In my opinion, they should've put the cinnamon roll icing when it's done cooking.. Oh btw, leave the eclair in the fridge for about 15 mins. The icing inside isn't too sugary, and you'll see how delicious it is on a hot summer day, TRUST ME!
I swear I have never heard anything about a cookie butter eclair like the heck is that I have relatives from France been to France a couple times and I've never seen them so it's either I've been living under a rock or they just Americanized the food 😂
For some reason I have a feeling a few of those aren't genuine recipes because they used a load of cinnamon sugar and dulce de leche which they always use
Desert around the world Me : woww cools want try to cook it After watching it Me : Where's do i find all the ingredients that doesn't have in my local market
Dude, this let me so angry. Brazil have a LOT of traditional desserts and this is not one of them. I never had seen nothing like this before Why don't choose something that we actually eat? Or, you know, show something that's not Americanized? Brigadeiro is so Brazillian and easy to do

Buzzfeed is no doubt well aware that Brazilians speak Portuguese, but since most of their audience speaks English, they wrote the recipes in English.
america somehow americanized their own dessert
you forgot the cup of tea with the British part from that spot on 9 / 10
Brandon Grant I thought that too. :-D
Totally
Brandon Grant I wouldn't count Victoria Sponge as a dessert. It's an afternoon tea thing
Anjali Mehra i totally agree you don't have it after a meal????
Im From Germany gut i never SAW this dessert before
Apfelstrudel ?
Ms. Edogawa dann machs doch
sorry but that was NOT a strudel
Luka Krvarić ikr, I've had plenty of strudels in my day, they are almost always rolled up, not folded...
Right!?
Luka Krvarić and when I saw Germany I expected an apfelstrudel, like a regular and traditional strudel is or at least how you mostly see them. Not strawberry and chocolate...
And the dough is not a puff pastry dough. Many gastronomic, cultural crimes were made in this video.
I’m french and I’ve never heard of cookie butter in France.
They just messed up every traditional dessert from different countries.
They should just called it, American versions of international desserts.
Japanese ruined pancakes with their souffle pancakes because they put their own twist instead of making it traditionally smh.
That is NOT a german Strudel! Maybe thats how you make them in america, or if you buy the cheap ones from the frozen stuff in the supermarket, but not if you make them yourself
Becca Mei and they're sure as hell not filled with strawberries and chocolate either
and sour cream....
Strudel is Austrian, Hungarian or Czechoslovakian (technically Habsburgian), not german.
or if you speak German:
'Vermutlich liegt der Ursprung des Strudelteiges in Arabien, von wo aus er über Ägypten, Palästina und Syrien bis in die Türkei gebracht wurde. Von dort aus gelangte das Rezept nach der Eroberung Konstantinopels im Jahr 1453, möglicherweise aus der türkischen Baklava oder einem gefüllten Fladenbrot weiterentwickelt, über den Balkan nach Wien.'
I'm Mexican and I never heard of that recipe.
I always see pudding bread at mexican bakeries :3 I don't like the texture tho :P
Dave A. Cuatepotzo it's an egyptian recipe, it's called Om Ali.
no it's not.
they call it budin or something like that. There's all kinds.
Dave A. Cuatepotzo it is from Mexico ;)
sorry but why is there only one Asian representative and not even one african representative? you can't call it around the world when you don't include most places. make another one because this isn't around the world.
Bryn Tucknott no middle east either :(
Maybe because asian deserts suck? I'm chinese and I can say with pretty much 99% that we're pretty bad at sweet stuff.
.......gulab jamun? kheer? kulfi? thats just the pakistani/indian stuff lmao theres more to asia than china, korea, and japan.
Brooke Li what about egg tarts?????
Brooke Li I personally love Chinese dessert.......
The way those Victoria sponges were made is so wrong the ingredients are supposed to be added one at a time so they are super light and fluffy 😩😩 this hurt my soul
Lol...I can't with you...😂
Ikr
This hurt everyones soul.
3 recipes from the americas, 3 from Europe and 1 from Asia. Lol "around the world"
It still counts as around the world
JasonJacksonJames There was no Africa...
that's because they don't eat anything
JasonJacksonJames yes they do 😒
not even from SEA countries
PACK YOUR BAGS, WE'RE GOING TO GERMANY!!
Anonymous Rebel
Okay what should I bring?!
Bunny Moon
first of all some germany currency, to buy the food of course! btw does germany use U.S. currency?
I really don't want you to be disappointed, but I've never seen this dessert in my life before and I'm from Germany. We have this kind of strudel filled with apples, raisins and cinnamon though.
And no, we don't use US currency :D xx
WTF is that german recipe supposed to be? Just because you use puff pastry like in a strudel? Sorry, but thats hideous
Atossa And btw Strudel is from Hungary/Austria, has literally nothing to do with Germany
General Flovinum ... Apfel Strudel. It's german. I know best because i live in germany ._.
spartan rifle well screw you, im from austria, i should know better
Strudel is Austrian....i come from Germany..and i think a problem is that some austrian dishes are mixed into German culture that the difference between Austrian and German is kinda blurry...nevertheless it's not important as long as the real Strudel tastes good...
General Flovinum Oh, read that wrong. Don't be this rude btw.... it's still really common in germany tho. Sorry that i mixed it up :/
"American desserts using ingredients from around the world"
The éclairs were very messy :/
froppy ?
Ok y'all they said desserts not famous desserts
Writing and Reading and Stuff they should have atleast done normal deserts. who in america makes an apple pie bake on a regular basis?
@obey guac They could've chosen any dessert that they wanted (from that country). Never said in the title or description that they were made on a regular basis.
obey guac i agree. never even heard of it
Well... Indian and Arabic sweets are still the best for me.
C00k¡ngUn¡c0rns _ManalBhaiji Arabic sweets are amazing. I'm Lebanese so my mom makes them a lot.

Tasty: "7 Desserts Around The World"
Also Tasty: Asia + Africa + Oceania = Japan!
I can't help but read every dessert name in the most stereotypical accent for the country ever
Oh man I thought the English one was going to be fairy cakes
Shilly Billy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) you mean the uk 🇬🇧 one ☝️
I thought some shitty American take on scones but the whole process was so wrong
Same
I think that I've only had the English dessert once
James the technology kid Parsons Yeah we only see big ones...... ANYHOO I BETTER GO NOW HEHE 😳
I live in the U.S. whats an apple pie bake
In my opinion, they should've put the cinnamon roll icing when it's done cooking..
Oh btw, leave the eclair in the fridge for about 15 mins. The icing inside isn't too sugary, and you'll see how delicious it is on a hot summer day, TRUST ME!
Tiger Jamaa *
I swear I have never heard anything about a cookie butter eclair like the heck is that I have relatives from France been to France a couple times and I've never seen them so it's either I've been living under a rock or they just Americanized the food 😂
Emilia Khek They definitely just Americanized it
Emilia Khek They americanised the food
Normally an eclair is chocolate or coffee flavored
Sorry for my bad English
baklava?
KittyLicious i was gonna comment that lol😩
they could do hour-long videos with Turkish desserts only
KittyLicious u dont know What that think is? Dude your mising out is AMAZING :D
Suc de Portocale she said it like why isn't it in the video
KittyLicious it's a turkish food they can't do that
I'm from Brazil and... Well, i've never seen this before, and, here we talk "Doce de Leite", not "Dulce de Letche". We'd not speak spanish.
I'm brazilian and I NEVER saw this, our favorite desert is brigadeiro.
Sad not to see an Italian one
Alice Richards ikr
For some reason I have a feeling a few of those aren't genuine recipes because they used a load of cinnamon sugar and dulce de leche which they always use
None of them is genuine.
Man, you're really missing out on India's desserts.
I agree
True 👍 ✔
for brazil you should have made brigadeiros
I am from Germany and I have never heard of this dessert.....😂
They put Brazil like a Spanish language country?! REALLY? ARE U KIDDING ME? WE TALK PORTUGUESE!!! P-O-R-T-U-G-U-E-S-E!!!!!
4:30 that is an insult to my favorite desert from the childhood

Desert around the world

After watching it
Me : Where's do i find all the ingredients that doesn't have in my local market
Britain have so many other better classic puddings than that ( bread and butter pudding, crumbles...)
Thierry 1214 yasss
Thierry 1214 OMG YASS
Tasty: For Brazil's recipe we're gonna need bananas, but let's make it sound more local...
Also Tasty: PLANTAINS
Its not bananas DUH
Did I just see an almond peppero at the end?
Sehunnie Exo-L yeah, I did. and AYYYYEEEE fellow exo-l
Ria A. Eeyyyyy
Sehunnie Exo-L thats right my type
that's pocky.
We usually do strudel with apples, raisins (hope its spelled right) and cinnamon in Germany but ok....
I am french and I live in France and the éclairs art french speciality but the emblematic French pastry is more the croissant chocolate
I don't c my country 🤔 India 🇮🇳
Because they would put every single country in the world in a 3 minute video
JasonJacksonJames dude I understand that. But do u know how many types of sweets v make. That's the reason I commented.
Clarance Dias you'll have your indian recipe one day, don't worry.
Magi Algarin no I don't want a recipe. I just wanted my country. 😝
Belgian is the country that makes the most sweets in the world, yet I don't see them complain. Don't be egotistical
Dude, this let me so angry.
Brazil have a LOT of traditional desserts and this is not one of them. I never had seen nothing like this before
Why don't choose something that we actually eat? Or, you know, show something that's not Americanized? Brigadeiro is so Brazillian and easy to do
1. 0:10 Apple Pie Bake (USA)
2. 0:50 Tres Leches Bread Pudding (Mexico)
3. 1:30 Dulce De Leche Fried Plantains (Brazil)
4. 2:11 Mini Victoria Sponges (England)
5. 2:50 Cookie Butter Eclairs (France)
6. 3:53 Strawberry Chocolate Strudel (Germany)
7. 4:33 Taro Matcha Ice Cream (Japan)
Note: Remember that they show a picture of the previous recipe before starting a new one!
Your welcome! ^^
-Angel
Thx
In Brazil nobody eat this. i am brasileiro
5:10
*Honestly my ass would mistaken this ice cream as Guacamole*
I live in the uk and I have never seen a mini Victoria sponge ANYWHERE and I’ve been to literally almost all of the cities
Get your facts right it’s normally bloody chocolate cake we have
Not once have I ever had "Apple pie bake" and I live in the USA
