I love their big ears, their small angular heads, almond eyes and their loving sassy personalities. Yours is stunning! Roy is clearly a sweet boy. Even after repeated warnings to stop grabbing his paws he did not fuck you up when you kept doing it anyway. He would have been well within his rights to do so.

@loopylyn6548: Generally yes and it looked like Roy had reached a "thresh hold " and didn't like it, however if a cat does allow you to touch their feet, it is a sign of the ultimate trust, and one of our cats, Rudy doesn't mind his feet being touched.

Try a rescue organization for OS first, before a breeder. There are so many shelter cats & strays available. Due to the overpopulation of cats on the planet. There’s no need for even more of them in this World.
@@traekas7228 Oh trust me, I am very much an adopter not a shopper for the most part but Oriental Shorthairs are in such demand that finding them in shelters is an ultra rare thing, so I did what I felt was the best thing and got on the waiting list with a local breeder who happens to be a vet tech and raises beautiful, loving babies. She also encourages people to look at local shelters too, which I did before going this route. There's something about this breed that just pulled me in and told me I needed to adopt one. So I am going with it and I am glad of it.

I used to have 3 Oriental Shorthairs...they were beautiful. KINKY, her tail had a kink in it and looked broken, LITTLE GUY, who was quiet and so scared of everything, and GOGGLES, she was so verbal! She would meow constantly and get in the bath with me. I miss my kitties. This one looks just like my only boy. ❤️
Looked up this breed on a site called ‘Daily Paws’ and that’s exactly one of the ways they describe their appearance. The other way is “ reminiscent of a chihuahua.” Very unusual- don’t think I’d ever seen one before!

Teddy and Bindi are 'full siblings' (they have the same mom and dad, but were born in 2 different litters.) Teddy doesn't meow....he 'honks', LOL. Anyways, Stache is _my_ favorite.....he has a little mustache, lol. 💗

Pretty sure they do, almost every oriental short hair I've seen has a claasic big eared/long face look. (Especially when they are younger) Don't quote me on it though. Lol
@@almostthere2884 Both Stache and now Teddy are no longer around anymore - I don't know how Teddy died but I think Stache was unwell. The Siamese breed and Oriental is prone to getting Kidney issues.
From the time my cat was a kitten, I did leg grabs and holds, and now she loves them. They are actually very comforting for her. And it also helps for when you need to trim their claws.
