My Dad died at 2am 2nd of July 2024 and this was his song. He used to beat it out on the piano perfectly without knowing a note of music. Goodbye Dad, we love you so much and wish we could have you back.xx

I'm four years older than Shaky, I'm italian and I never heard about SHAKY, until just few weeks ago (I,m in UK now) and I fell in love with him for the wonderful song "BECAUSE I LOVE YOU" . He would have been my idol and me crazy for him when I was young. He was absolutely gorgeous, handsome, and the eyes, the voice, the suppleness of the beautiful body better than Elvis could have HAD. NOBODY ELSE BUT YOU SHAKY!!!!!!!!!!! MY IDEA OF PERFECT LOVER!!!!!!!!!!!

He has such energy the stage is on fire when he takes it over. He is great I wish I found him sooner but I am catching up. I just love give me your heart tonight. It is a haunting song.

I wish Shaky had been around in the 1950s he would have been up there with Elvis Little Richard Bill Haley Chuck Berry.Fats Domino Jerry Lee Lewis Big Bopper etc The Rocknroll sound was exclusive American(We had no-one to watch live and we had to wait until the American Rock stars came on tour.) The only access we had to their music was if we purchased the records As a teddy boy in the fifties I went to the dance halls to hear them played by the DJsThe Rock n Roll sound was fantastic to us.It was a brand new sound and we loved every singe beat of the music.Previously we had been listening to the big bands like Glen Miller but when Rock-n Roll came on the scene it released us from the boring slow rythmns of the dance bands to a fantastic big beat boogie sound and our lives were changed and we had our own music to listen to.
If you had all those great singers around in the '50s then why do you wish you had Shaky back then? He's ok but he's just not in their league.

He always caught my eye when I watched him on Top Of The Pops everytime he appeared on the show. I was only 10yrs well I'm 47yrs if he could look as georgous as he did then my eyes would shine up.

This particular song is a rare song from 1987 - when the Shakin' Stevens were popular. I didn't know what it was called until I heard it on my I-Pod. It's a song that I didn't have in my CD collection before 2014. What a great song!!!!!!!!!

Quite literally bumped into him once, knocked his little glasses off. He was so gorgeous up close, his smile turned me into a bumbling teenager. This was backstage at Golden Years in Antwerp, think it was 1997, give or take a year.
