Grow bonsai in big training pots or grow bags, what ever is available, in the beginning for speedy growth. Repot the plant in bonsai pot when you feel satisfied that it has good structure and roots .

This is fall time all the leaves will fall naturally in nature....so don't worry...but it would take one to two months for new growth on repotted plant
Defoliate all the leaves and don't overwater and keep it in shade for a few days then move in bright light no direct sunlight or hot weather...plant would die

Sir I have a problem about choosing right tree for making bonsai because it is said that peepal, bargad, imli types of trees are not found good to keep in home.
These plants are big trees and can damage the house , that is why it is advised not to grow them at home, but bonsai is small. Secondly I don't do puja to my bonsai plants So I don't have any doubt in my mind.

If the temperature is high at your place then you should not remove all the soil. For this procedure you have to cut roots according to the pots size so choose a wide pot and at least 6 inches deep pot. When we transfer plants from big pots we train the plant in a training pot for one or two year then shift it into a bonsai pot
Or you can do this procedure by removing all the soil and pruning all the leaves during rainy season.......during rainy season the new roots develops quickly...safe time

Yes we can bend branches by using guy wires, I am used to tie the branch on roots, on rim of pot , on trunk....never used stones

Yes you can, this plant doesn't need much space to grow...

Size of pot depends on plants width and its trunk size and bonsai style....can't explain in comments
