Smart and functional secular policies is the need of the hour. There's a need to frame policies around both our religious and national identities. We are an exception. We need the best of the people to lead us. All of us.
I respectfully disagree with that person. I think the Indian sense of secularism is meaningless. He just says it means the separation between governance, policy-making, and religion, but that’s completely untrue. I can give numerous examples of how government and policy-making are influenced by religion, such as government control of temples and Hajj subsidies. I accept that we are not France, but every French citizen has a clear understanding of secularism. Indians, on the other hand, do not, because no Indian leader truly understands the meaning of Indian secularism. I think India is a pluralistic country, but not a secular one. I bet that a hundred percent of Indian citizens can't define what secularism means. The word "secularism" was added to the Indian Constitution because it sounded cool, due to communist influence in Indira Gandhi's government, and it’s not democratic either. Actually, India is too diverse and vast for anything to be an ultimate truth. In India, truth is very context-oriented and changes from place to place and culture to culture. I think we don't have to be a secular country to protect minorities. Maybe America is a secular country, but they proudly say the USA is based on Judeo-Christian values. Similarly, India is a country based on Sanatan values.
Ahh.. WhatsApp Gyan. Literally every point is copy paste from BJP propaganda. Bhai Non-partisan ka meaning samajhte ho? That's enough if you want to be secular. BJP waalon ki tarah Definitions and origins mein hi ghumte rahoge ya bahar nikalkr practicality bhi dekhoge...

India is not Sanatan, this word came from Annie Besant book, this is not mentioned in any scriptures. India is actually Saman culture which followed Buddhism. This is backed by archeological evidence and

If anyone can objectively define me this indian brand of secularism, I can give tons of example where from state govt to central govt they are violating it daily for their political motives. What's the point then
There doesn't need to be a 'brand'. Non-partisan means non-partisan. Practice that yourself and teach it to other people too. The "brand" will automatically develop.
