This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to, and only Dimash's voice could evoke such a profound emotional response in me. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered and my eyes fill with tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice.
Most of what I am sharing below is more for the benefit of others, as you yourself certainly already know most of what I am stating. This is a vocalise interpretation of Ave Maria that Igor Krutoy (on piano) composed for Dimash (not a cover), using only 4 original bars from the original composition.
The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce", the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most difficult exercises for singers and voice experts regard it as a singer’s ultimate test, a skill even the most experienced rarely ever master.
There are at least 10 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. Here is a list of different composers/compositions:

3 REASONS THIS SONG WILL GO DOWN IN SINGING HISTORY:
1) he starts without any pitch cue, and a cappella, meaning he has to depend on his perfect pitch to bring him into the song-if he misses, there’s no covering it up, so it’s super risky, and he does it effortlessly
2) he sings that whole song on one vowel (the “AHHHH" sound he's using), doesn’t close his mouth for the length of the performance, and never once touches or uses the microphone/mic stand for support
3) THAT LAST NOTE. Which is a 15 second Messa Di Voce (placing the voice); a very ADVANCED singing technique. Basically you crescendo and decrecendo a note, with only the volume changing-no pitch change, or vibrato change, or tone change, etc. Then, he just lets it fade in air...it’s one of the biggest vocal flexes I’ve ever seen in my life-A MASTERPIECE 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿

I am not denying Dimash's perfect pitch, because there is no doubt he has it, but he is given a "pitch cue" during the intro. The intro gives him an F3, which gives him the ability to find the D# or E♭

@@marisagettas I don't know what instrument exactly, but I am guessing it is from a synthesizer. It is the first tone (note) F3 you hear when the song starts, and before
the percussion begins, and it is the last tone you hear before the heartbeat. It is steady throughout the intro. You can also hear the exact note, D# or E♭ on what I am guessing is a Marimba(?), it could also be from a synthesizer, at about the 45,46 sec mark on this video.

Honestly I didn’t notice any of the technical aspects when I listend to it for the 7-8 times I listened to it. For me just heaven’s gates opened and Dimash sent me to heaven with the first note.

Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was found to have perfect pitch. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, another in contemporary music, pop, and jazz, was a major in Vogel technique. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his master's with honors having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He has since started his Ph.D.
Dimash is a perfectionist and a workaholic. In interviews on Kazak TV, he stated that he wakes up at 5AM (7 days a week). By 5:30AM he has begun doing 3 hours of vocal exercises (scales, arpeggios, lip bubbles, etc..). That is before he even begins his workday in the studio or at rehearsals for a concert. To improve his lung capacity and breath control, he will either swim laps in a pool for 1 hour uninterrupted or hit the treadmill for a 5k run. Sometimes, he will substitute that for a full-on 90-minute soccer match with his mates and their team. (He has good ball skills as you can see here: ruclips.net/video/kt_lokOZLWw/видео.html ). He doesn’t drink, either! He will often work 12-14 hour days. He says he hates vacations. Dimash is the real deal when it comes to showing how hard work and dedication will make you succeed!
He currently has a vocal range of over 6 octaves but he is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of both arrange you have but in fact what you do with it. He has won many prestigious awards and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan.
He has performed songs in 12 different languages. He speaks fluent Russian and Kazakh, some Chinese, and is pretty good in English and Is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it.
Dimash is a treasure for humanity.

On August 26, I listened all day to "Ave Maria", the music of which was written by Igor Krutoy. It's so fascinating to me, how Dimash starts that final high C with a traditional _messa_ _di_ _voce_ technique, before switching to an airy straight tone, and then returning to (or so I believe) an almost contemporary form of _messa_ _di_ _voce_ again - I have honestly never seen anyone do that before, and it just blows my mind! And that's without even mentioning that outstandingly gorgeous F6 - F6!!😮 - and perfect pitch throughout... oh Dimash, what are you *doing* to us, you glorious creature, you?! Simply sublime...
