The whole dual massive core lore drop is such an important piece to the puzzle: - Explains why Hood wanted to destroy the Ark. It's not because she wanted to kill mankind, it's because her mind was hazy and she could only vaguely remember that the Ark was related to Rapture's annihilation, hence, wanted to destroy it. - Explains why they wanted Elegg and Trony mind wiped so badly that they sent Extrinsic to capture the duo. - Explains why reconstructing the Ark takes so much power and computational power that years of energy harvesting from Nikke and Raptures didn't even complete a portion of the entire Ark. - Explains how the Ark could be made without getting absolutely demolished by Raptures. If they did it above the surface, they would've made so much noise that Raptures would swarm around them in no time. That's why, with the power of the Ultra Massive Core, they could build the Ark safely beneath the ground (very likely using A Pillars), minimizing as much noise as possible. - Explains why the Rapture Queen could tell that the Grimms squad was coming up, because the Lift itself is a rapture, and so it notified the Queen of their arrival ahead of time. - Explains how the Lift continues to work despite being human technology originally because we have not seen any infrastructure belonging to the Rapture side that's not turned into a Rapture yet. - Explains how the power problem was rarely seen in the Ark. Resources and materials shortage happen often but never a power problem despite having multiple electricity-hungry buildings like 777 casino running 24/7. This event was a gold mine for lore enthusiasts.
The point about power problems raises a question about the D-Outsiders event though. If the Ark has such a surplus of power, then what was the reasoning for turning off the lights in the Outer Rim for twenty years?
Her skills definitely improved since Red Ash, but some of her lines just seemed a little flat to me. When she does good you can REALLY hear it, but when a line is iffy you can also kinda hear it.
So… it makes a lot more sense why: A) The Lift operation failure was so meaningful B) Why CG is so hell-bent in reclaiming the surface Also explains a bit how Raptures got their “infinite energy” thing. The question is: if they’re actually man-made or an “outside force” that seized the experimental power source. Also-also, now we need Nikke height chart. I though that RH was tall, but seen that Emma is huge (in both senses) too is pleasant surprise.
Best part of Rapi's new song is the title song of the game is "We Rise" and the song for SSR Rapi " is "Rising Higher", i wonder if it was planned that way.
Would that mean the other scenes in that Opening are gonna be a future event where Exia Novel Epinel join up with Novel and RpaiRedHood? Especially with the latest chapters saying they should check up on Eden!?!
funny thing about Neon is that almost if not every Gintama reference made in this game has something to do with Neon. One running joke from Gintama is that one of the main characters is personified primarily by his glasses (examples like his special attack in the musou game turning him into a giant pair of glasses, or the gender bending arc doing nothing to him other than making the frames of his glasses pink). They even made this joke in the fishing minigame when you fish a Neon. If it turns out that D.E.E.P. did something like make Neon by implanting a copy of her personality into a random nikke using those glasses, it could mean that Shift Up turned a Gintama shitpost into a major plot point

I love just how many plot points Rapi's backstory ties together. She really is a main character with how connected she is to everything. I truly do believe this year we might finally get some background on Johan and Pretty. The only ones with little to no info on them so far are the Commander, Marian and Neon. I just know those three will have the craziest backstories. Also, the way D.E.E.P speaks of the Raptures brings me back to Raptillion and his research on them. I don't think destroying them is the answer.
He wants to coexist with them but for the time being the raptures are trying to wipe out humanity. Maybe if Marian takes control as the rapture queen maybe.

Since I saw nobody mention it:1.) D.E.E.P is probably the starting letters of the 4 Nikkes (?) AI`s (?) that are the highest Bosses of the Ark. Aka. Eink (The girl that runs the simulation room) and Ennik (the highest Law of the Ark) and I asume we met either D or P in this Event and the other one is guarding the Ark`s Rapture Core. Since D.E.E.P said "WE" and that they are basicly higher in Rank as the Central Goverment. 2.) I think you took that what Ingrid said about reconstruction the Body to another Person for to high. Ingrid like Rapi and Red Hood have no Idea that D.E.E.P exists and that she was the one that fused them together. Ingrid has seen something that is basicly not posiible and needed to find an explanation based on the things she know about Rapi. The only theoretic way to make something like Rapi again would be that another almost dead Legendary Nikke, like Red Hood together with a Blank slate, like Rapi was to this time, meet D.E.E.P and she herself said this place will soon be so good hidden that nobody can find it, probably besides the other 3 that belong to D.E.E.P.
I don't know if it makes sense with lore, but as D.E.E.P refered to as "us" an guardian of the ark, i couldn't stop thinking that every letter stands for one individual. And even more, that "E.E" would refeer to Ennik and Einkk, cause both would say that they protect the ark and are not bound to the central government either. (sorry for any typos)
Shiftup put the glasses there because they know where we're looking. Also with neon being a "spy" I'm wondering if she's related to deep at all or if deep just somehow got the glasses on her. I'm not getting the feeling that deep is evil so she might be the one who is also manipulating the records about the commander. Also about the core: the extra thing to consider is that it's an old type core.... it needs to be fed
wait i just thought of something, per enikk the raptures have always known where the ark is but have never truly invaded outside of when they were lured there, could it be the raptures also know about the twin cores and are refraining from any organized assaults on the ark to keep humanity from destroying their own core essentially creating a MAD situation, this also explains why resistance was so stiff when humanity was trying to reclaim the surface. and if we look into this further could Marian becoming a rapture queen be the raptures attempt to bypass the need for the lift, or do they need the lift for some other reason?

Seeing Red Hood for the first time was what brought me into the game and I've loved her so much ever since. I cant think of something I dont love about her, even if I know she died in the past But man....seeing that moment itself *HURT* She'll always have a special place in my heart (and stage spot on my waifu's in all of media/fiction list).

Man, there were some absolutely massive lore bombs in this event. But they made me watch Rapi cry and Red Hood die, so I hate it (i'm kidding, I love this game so much). So many new questions too. They were cooking up something insane with this one.

What if the CG were the ones who actually acquired it and are on the brink of making mass produced mechadestructors and the only thing they lack is the tech that Rapi hides inside?
You’re kinda missing a point about why the Ark simplified a lot of pre-fall tech: resources. They may have the schematics to make stuff, but the cost-effectiveness isn’t worth it, considering their situation. Plus, why would you even want to create a prototype nikke who was prone to self-damage when using her full power? (And in terms of raw physical strength Missilis already beat her - Guilty is stronger (physically) then Lilith, according to devs. But even with all that - you can’t mass-produce grimms. They are way costly to make & maintain.
No, what Ingrid fears about Rapi's transformation is that with enough control over the NIMPH people could basically turn anyone into a certain person as they like using this technology. As in, imagine if a doctor operates on you and turn you into someone else without you even noticing or acquisiting on it? Worse still, "you" don't even exist anymore, replaced by that someone else's look, psyche, and memories. What Ingrid did with Poli was merely reviving her as nikke--inside, she is still the same policewoman she was before she died. Well, there is that mishap with Ingrid's dog DNA, but that's beyond the point.
I didn't pick up the glasses until I watched your vid. This is just me thinking outloud but what if Neon was actually a spy, but just not for Elysion. It would make sense for DEEP to monitor Rapi if she truly had something to do with Rapi/Red Hood's cores. Also funny to think about but what if Neon is actually NEON and she too was a product of 4 separate entities.
I find it real fascinating that if you were to listen to Neon and D.E.E.P side-by-side, they have similar speech patterns. Also, no “new” characters. What does Shift Up mean by this?
The situation with the Ark having the second Massive Core, reminds me of a Jacinto situation from Gears of War, even if they managed to evacuate and sacrifice the Ark to end the Raptures, just like Gears the war won’t be over

Now that I think about it... Neon claimed she was under Ingrid's orders to join when we met her right? No one else had heard of it and Shifty only got a last-minute notice. I don't think Ingrid has EVER mentioned Neon. Like, not once. D.E.E.P. might have just tossed her on the squad from the very beginning to keep an eye on Rapi.
Reason why Red Hood corruption is slow maybe because her corruption code is one of the prototype code that corrupts Cinderella too. So probably that's why it's not that strong since it's Ultra one of the oldest Rapture. Edit: The writers are clearly not okay but they waited for 2 years to mind blown us with lore XD Edit2: Mental note, Dorothy has now control to a broadcast channel on Ark, if she knows about the Core she can end the Ark in an instant.
have you considered that the kind of corruption in red hood might be different from what we got from red shoes and it is the thing the raptures originally came up with before it was modified? a different strain of sorts also, the power core in the ark is one thing, since it was built after the first invasion, but the lift most likely existed before and was described as the entry point for the raptures, think about what the implications for that are in terms of how it got there first... the thing with potentially cloning any possible character via the nimph also creates some new possibilities like about SKKs identity...or the apparently unaging mustang...or what if they clone hammering from her head and send that clone as sleeper agent... AHHHHHHHHH SO MANY QUESTIONS

Some of them are newer than the others. For example, Matis, Underworld Queen, Wardress, and the cheerleading squad are pretty recent addition. They can't be any older than a decade (as nikke). I think other than Mary, most of Tetra's nikkes available for us in-game are newer generation nikke. It honestly begs the question of just how long the time Rapi spent in Absolute and how long has passed after she left the squad. Both Anderson and Mustang are over a century old by now. All of the members of pioneer squad are also the same. Johan was already a commander when Rapi was still a kid. All of them are still kicking and looking young, and you are surprised that Ingrid turns out to be just as old as them? The problem with Liter is that she isn't necessarily the oldest, but her personality data is what most likely make her think that she's old. Thus she acts like an old geezer.
I guess that means Eunhwa is around Johan's age, since the incompetence of her teammates getting her killed might've been when the Academy wasn't as proficient in teaching it's commanders, or she joined afterwards when he was labeled a traitor and thus the Academy started to only show incompetent teaching to newer commanders so none can be as efficient as Johan

A lot of characters are older than they look. Mustang is century old. And Yohan? He should be over 50. We should assume technology has advanced enough to expand the human lifespan and even their appearance.
After old tales I'm confused why the lift needs power anymore, destroying the UMC wouldn't do anything more to the raptures. It goes nowhere now thanks to cindy... I mean she wasn't able to tell anyone what she did but DEEP lives in the lift, surely she should have noticed that it hasn't done anything for nearly 30 years
Am I the only person that thinks/hopes Pinne, Red Shoes, Red Hood, etc are permanently dead? I grew up on Dragon Ball, the 1st time Krillin died to Tambourine the stakes felt high. Even Toriyama intended for him to stay permanently dead. Then Z pretty much sucked once death became a trifling matter. Who cares who dies after Goku wins he can jist revive everyone 🙄. If any of the dead that had an impactful death come back it would cheapen the whole story. The only one that has always been a mystery is Lilith, her coming back would plot relevant. RH, RS, Pinne, Rio, Wendi, etc.... They need to stay dead IMO

For the love of god, please consider switching to Japanese voice-over. Red Hood's seiyuu is amazing for instance, her lines sound much more lively and emotional. English dub is just plain and dull

Since I saw nobody mention it:1.) D.E.E.P is probably the starting letters of the 4 Nikkes (?) AI`s (?) that are the highest Bosses of the Ark. Aka. Eink (The girl that runs the simulation room) and Ennik (the highest Law of the Ark) and I asume we met either D or P in this Event and the other one is guarding the Ark`s Rapture Core. Since D.E.E.P said "WE" and that they are basicly higher in Rank as the Central Goverment.
2.) I think you took that what Ingrid said about reconstruction the Body to another Person for to high. Ingrid like Rapi and Red Hood have no Idea that D.E.E.P exists and that she was the one that fused them together. Ingrid has seen something that is basicly not posiible and needed to find an explanation based on the things she know about Rapi. The only theoretic way to make something like Rapi again would be that another almost dead Legendary Nikke, like Red Hood together with a Blank slate, like Rapi was to this time, meet D.E.E.P and she herself said this place will soon be so good hidden that nobody can find it, probably besides the other 3 that belong to D.E.E.P.

I don't know if it makes sense with lore, but as D.E.E.P refered to as "us" an guardian of the ark, i couldn't stop thinking that every letter stands for one individual. And even more, that "E.E" would refeer to Ennik and Einkk, cause both would say that they protect the ark and are not bound to the central government either.

I'm not getting the feeling that deep is evil so she might be the one who is also manipulating the records about the commander.
Also about the core: the extra thing to consider is that it's an old type core.... it needs to be fed
I don't think neon being a spy means malicious intent. If they wanted commander or rapi to die God knows neon had ample opportunity

wait i just thought of something, per enikk the raptures have always known where the ark is but have never truly invaded outside of when they were lured there, could it be the raptures also know about the twin cores and are refraining from any organized assaults on the ark to keep humanity from destroying their own core essentially creating a MAD situation, this also explains why resistance was so stiff when humanity was trying to reclaim the surface. and if we look into this further could Marian becoming a rapture queen be the raptures attempt to bypass the need for the lift, or do they need the lift for some other reason?

Man, there were some absolutely massive lore bombs in this event. But they made me watch Rapi cry and Red Hood die, so I hate it (i'm kidding, I love this game so much). So many new questions too. They were cooking up something insane with this one.

You’re kinda missing a point about why the Ark simplified a lot of pre-fall tech: resources. They may have the schematics to make stuff, but the cost-effectiveness isn’t worth it, considering their situation. Plus, why would you even want to create a prototype nikke who was prone to self-damage when using her full power? (And in terms of raw physical strength Missilis already beat her - Guilty is stronger (physically) then Lilith, according to devs.
But even with all that - you can’t mass-produce grimms. They are way costly to make & maintain.
No, what Ingrid fears about Rapi's transformation is that with enough control over the NIMPH people could basically turn anyone into a certain person as they like using this technology.
As in, imagine if a doctor operates on you and turn you into someone else without you even noticing or acquisiting on it? Worse still, "you" don't even exist anymore, replaced by that someone else's look, psyche, and memories.
What Ingrid did with Poli was merely reviving her as nikke--inside, she is still the same policewoman she was before she died. Well, there is that mishap with Ingrid's dog DNA, but that's beyond the point.
I didn't pick up the glasses until I watched your vid. This is just me thinking outloud but what if Neon was actually a spy, but just not for Elysion. It would make sense for DEEP to monitor Rapi if she truly had something to do with Rapi/Red Hood's cores. Also funny to think about but what if Neon is actually NEON and she too was a product of 4 separate entities.

Reason why Red Hood corruption is slow maybe because her corruption code is one of the prototype code that corrupts Cinderella too. So probably that's why it's not that strong since it's Ultra one of the oldest Rapture.

That's my assumption too. It is very much noted in Old Tales that prior to Red Shoes, corruption only paralyzed the Nikkes.

have you considered that the kind of corruption in red hood might be different from what we got from red shoes and it is the thing the raptures originally came up with before it was modified? a different strain of sorts
also, the power core in the ark is one thing, since it was built after the first invasion, but the lift most likely existed before and was described as the entry point for the raptures, think about what the implications for that are in terms of how it got there first...
the thing with potentially cloning any possible character via the nimph also creates some new possibilities like about SKKs identity...or the apparently unaging mustang...or what if they clone hammering from her head and send that clone as sleeper agent...

Some of them are newer than the others. For example, Matis, Underworld Queen, Wardress, and the cheerleading squad are pretty recent addition. They can't be any older than a decade (as nikke). I think other than Mary, most of Tetra's nikkes available for us in-game are newer generation nikke.
It honestly begs the question of just how long the time Rapi spent in Absolute and how long has passed after she left the squad.
Both Anderson and Mustang are over a century old by now. All of the members of pioneer squad are also the same. Johan was already a commander when Rapi was still a kid. All of them are still kicking and looking young, and you are surprised that Ingrid turns out to be just as old as them?
The problem with Liter is that she isn't necessarily the oldest, but her personality data is what most likely make her think that she's old. Thus she acts like an old geezer.
I guess that means Eunhwa is around Johan's age, since the incompetence of her teammates getting her killed might've been when the Academy wasn't as proficient in teaching it's commanders,
or
she joined afterwards when he was labeled a traitor and thus the Academy started to only show incompetent teaching to newer commanders so none can be as efficient as Johan

Am I the only person that thinks/hopes Pinne, Red Shoes, Red Hood, etc are permanently dead? I grew up on Dragon Ball, the 1st time Krillin died to Tambourine the stakes felt high. Even Toriyama intended for him to stay permanently dead. Then Z pretty much sucked once death became a trifling matter. Who cares who dies after Goku wins he can jist revive everyone 🙄. If any of the dead that had an impactful death come back it would cheapen the whole story. The only one that has always been a mystery is Lilith, her coming back would plot relevant. RH, RS, Pinne, Rio, Wendi, etc.... They need to stay dead IMO

For the love of god, please consider switching to Japanese voice-over. Red Hood's seiyuu is amazing for instance, her lines sound much more lively and emotional. English dub is just plain and dull
“Plain and dull” is your opinion. I also do listen to the other dubs and yes all of them are amazing. I ain’t going to shit on the hard work of the VAs from any dubs and I do sometimes switch back and forth from ENG, JP, KR (this being its original).
