I've been playing trumpet for over 50 years. In that time I've owned many trumpets from name brands to cheap Chinese knock-offs. This trumpet is the best value out of ANY I've owned. It plays very well, has excellent tone, and the valves are smooth and crisp. No, you won't impress anyone who glances at this thing. but if you ask them to play it, and then tell them what it costs, they'll call you a liar. Honestly, it's that good.
This is an amazing and excellent informative video. Many parents who are having to watch every penny will be relieved that they dont have to spend a fortune to get their child their first very own decent trumpet that wont fall apart. And at £85 it is an absolute bargain! Please more of the same videos, more cheap trumpets, intermediate trumpets, professional trmpets, mouthpieces ,mutes flugelhorns, practice warm ups for beginners, intermediate players , exercises that can build confidence , tone, range and endurance. Any tips and help to help us struggling trumpet wannabes along!! You are a world class musician and have so much knowledge!!!
Honestly it probably will fall apart after a few years and repair costs will probably be more than the trumpet itself, but that's good enough to learn whether the kid is serious or not and if it's worth upgrading to a better instrument. This is certainly better (and cheaper) than the used trumpet I learned on that literally did fall apart in my hands by the time I reached middle school 🤣.
Well that's really something good value for money. Thanks for the review Prof. Consider this!: I bought a Selmer student trumpet for £10 + Vincent Bach mouthpiece £6 in 1962 in Biggars Glasgow. Todays prices are 12.7 times higher than 1963 so present value of my purchase the same trumpet would cost £127 mouth piece £75. I now have a B&H Sovereign Trumpet cost £600 in 1980s!
Hi Prof, love your videos even though I’m not an advanced player by a long way! 😜. I enjoyed this video even though I’m not particularly interested in buying a new B-flat trumpet …. I am though more interested in a C, or even a D trumpet …. Is there any possibility that you could do a review/recommendation of a quality affordable student level C/D trumpet please? Hopefully you’ll just do some new inspiring trumpet videos in the near future perhaps? Kind regards, Donald 🎺🏴

Awesome review. I've been sitting on the shelf for months wondering if this was any good - I'm now sold. Cheers chap. Stay strong 💪 stay blessed 🙏
Rather nice trumpet, and sounds so perfect, like your detailed introduction, thanks!
Could you do a video of how to clean a Eastar trumpet and hot to oil the valves, if possible ?
For 85 pounds that's really a good instrument for beginners
