I'm a new ATT Fiber customer - install back in February 2023. BGW320-500 here. Over the last few weeks I've had the WiFi's SSID and password revert to factory default - throwing all wireless devices offline. Easy enough to reset it in the web interface, but annoying. This has happened twice now. Today when it happened I patiently waded through AT&T's automated customer support options, rebooting the 320, etc. And then finally getting to talk with a support representative. After they remotely looked through their logs they asked me if I had factory reset the router today - nope, just reboots. They said they see entries that the gateway had been factory reset, so at that point they would finally admit it was a hardware issue. They're sending me a replacement which should arrive in 2 days. Hopefully that will resolve things. Ultimately I am going to set up my own mesh network with the BGW320 operating in passthrough mode only. The way this house is built, there are too many brick walls for the built-in WiFi to adequately cover. So I'm going to get some form of mesh network with ethernet backhauls, so I can get better coverage. Otherwise I've been very pleased with ATT service compared to the abysmal stability that COX internet could provide.
.My new BGW-320 which AT&T pushes from my old 210 won't even come online. Same cables trying to install with the app but fails to boot. All I get is a white light then RED. Any Help I will be glad to accept. AT&T service sucks...
Hi Ali! I stumbled upon this video because I am having problems with the AT&T BGW320. I've had the service for 2 years now. I have a 3,900 square foot house with metal framing gypsum wallboard. I am constantly getting buffering when I'm streaming and also getting signal drops. Everything is Wi-Fi from the router and I have five extenders. They are also problematic. I want to make the switch to Verizon cuz I am not happy with their customer service at at &t. Very informative video and I appreciate your eye-opening experiences with AT&t fiber
Just place the router in the most central location of your house. If not, you will need to place a router on one floor at one end of the house and a node synced to the router in the opposite direction on the second floor. Unfortunately the metal framing doesn’t help much. Try that first before moving to Verizon.
I appreciate the reply Ali I will plan out the central location of the router. It might take me a few weeks to get this rolling but I will reply back on the results
Hi Ali. I moved my gateway to a central location. But in the process the main fiber line connection to the white AT& T came disconnected. I reconnected it but now the gateway is blinking red. I was hoping I didn't have to call a tech but I did because it's fiber and I don't have any tools for the fiber. Very surprising how easily the connector was released from the fiber line. Live and learn as they say. But thank you for all of your input
How do I get this damn thing to work lol I'm hard wired into my pc and the modem i get either unidentified network or i get no dhcp server found. I'm 3 days into this and I want to set it on fire. Please HELP ME
Pricing is comparably the same. They are both competitors. The internet connection is stable and provides consistent speeds. Do you have AT&T? How’s your experience?
Hii Ali I am Pawan from india. I liked you video, i want to know how i increase my knowledge as noc engineer Currently i am working as noc engineer. At globe teleservices.

Wow, Did you really switch to Big Red (Verizon), how is the pricing in comparison to Blue (ATT)?
