My heart always aches when they're first rescued and crying for mom. Not to mention how insanely adorable and helpless they are. In the end I'm always happy with the positive outcome of having another chance to grow up and be a proper bat. They're in damn good hands with you all who care for them. I am grateful to you for your dedication to these beautiful creatures
Meg, I’m glad you were the one who found this little 3-4 day old baby…. thank God she’s holding up …it’s because you’re there caring for her…she’s the best with you.
Glad to hear she's been doing so well, and glad those guys found her so quickly! I just cannot imagine how disoriented and frightened she was, having that kind of adventure after only three days. I know she's in good hands with Meg and Maggie now 🦇
Tears and a standing ovation in my Brooklyn apartment for the first baby flying fox of the season! YAY! I'm thrilled that little Deja Vu is now safe and cozy with Meg and Maggie
It protected her from roaming cats, predatory birds and the direct sunlight and overheating, even though it was a cooler day. MOPs always think the bat needs to be protected from sunlight.
Beautiful baby girl! Yah! She is the smallest, youngest one I've seen in a very long time. I absolutely love your enthusiasm on this rescue. Generally you give tiny hints about survivability... you sound pumped on this one. Thank you.
Yes !!! Meg needs a good baby season .. well, that means more work for bth Meg and Maggie .. but I’m sure they will happily do it . I can’t wait to see the other videos ! 😊
I'm soooo happy to see a new baby that's making it! I'm sure you're over the moon about it. She is such an adorable little bundle. I can't wait to see the videos!
How adorable. Just love/hate to see the babies, love, because they are so cute, but hate because they really are better off being raised by mom I would think. But thankfully she was found in time and here's praying that her survival bodes well for the rest of baby season.
Aaannndd we're off to the races(aka baby season). I bet all it takes is one look and all hesitancy about the season starting will fall away especially since it looks like she will be a survivor. May we have a whole season full of survivors. I am sending lots of thoughts of energy for you.
I must admit that the name scared me a bit, given the events of the past 18 months. But I've never been more delighted by the description text on this channel. Congrats, Meg. Can't wait to see the footage and I hope the strength of this little one is an omen of brighter days ahead.
So glad for a survivor after this awful stretch of death left and right! What a caring MOP and a lucky little battie winding up in the perfect hands. ♥️
Déjà vu is a beautiful little baby girl! And of course, I fell in love with her at first sight. This was an inspiring video to watch, and you were being so candid in the beginning as you were driving to her that I was greatly moved even before I laid eyes on her beautiful little self! KOKO, dear Meg! I fervently pray that this that season be an extremely blessed one with success after success in raising the orphans of this breeding year...
She's so tiny and beautiful. Babies are a lot of work, but worth the trouble. Since she was the first baby of the season, I was half expecting to see Maggie kicking in your door to get to Deja. Glad to her the baby made it.
YAY!!! for Deja Vu🦇❤️ When you lifted up the bucket and I saw her lying on that stone I thought, Oh no she's fallen and landed on the stone, thats not good😧 Glad to hear she didn't and she is doing well. Nice to see the hat is making a regular appearance👍 Looking forward to seeing Maggie back looking after the babies❤️ and you two sharing some Aussie banter again😂
Hopefully no more .. I’m almost afraid to say it …so I’ll say yahoo !!! And hope soon Megs apartment is so full of baby batties that she and Maggie have their hands ( and hearts ) so full they don’t know what to do ! Sorry Meg … lol 😁
What a blast from the past! Between 30-40 years ago, I lived in Salisbury Rd, Liberty St, Trafalgar St and Alice St near the Golden Sheaf. You must have driven on or past all of those on this trip. Good result with the bat.
Aw! I think this is the youngest battie rescue I've seen, I think I started watching later into the baby season when they were more grown up... So great to have a survivor!!!
@@Megabattie .. I remember some so small I was holding my breath ! When you see their heart beating in their little chest it always amazes me how something so tiny grows up to fly so confidently and have other tiny little creatures. I love bats , thanks to you Meg ! 💕🦇💕🥂
My first thought after you picked baby up: "call Maggie." I'm looking forward to the return of Maggie & baby footage, as well as to Season 15 of the Meg Diaries. 😊❤🦇
Lovely MOP's!👍👍 When Deja Vous was crying at start my Cat flew in to check who that was. Thank You sleep deprived Meg for Rescuing, Caring for and loving this precious little baby Flying Fox!!🤗🦇🥰

I am sure no one else cries like baby when we get a survivor but I do. They are so sweet. I know it must mean extra work for all of you and we appreciate your hard work. Thankful for the MOP and hang in there Dej.

HAPPY to hear that she’s already survived for 12 days!!!! Super!! Never get over how HUGE their feet look on them when they are so young…. Hope you and Maggie really enjoyed your time with her (assuming you are not still caring for her)!

Déjà vu is simply adorable, and I’m SO happy she is a survivor…may it bode well for the season that the first baby is strong and healthy. She seemed desperately happy to see you, and very ready to give herself into your care. I can understand you feeling a bit unready for a new baby yet, especially after the past year…but babies WILL come when THEY are ready. At least she is a strong, healthy, uninjured little one. I look forward to watching the dynamic M&M duo in action with the babies you hold onto. Cheers and Congratulations on a wee little survivor Meg, and thanks for sharing her. I wonder when Po, Piri, and Cloudberry will deliver their lucky little ones.🥂🖤🇨🇦

So tiny! I suppose the enormous bucket and three towels are necessary to protect such a tiny creature! Still very kind of the MOP to think of it.
