Can you go into a little more detail I’m a 2nd year college student and am thinking about dental school but like almost every pre dent 500k plus debt is a major factor while only making 180k ish (comparatively). How are you investing for retirement with are the cons of private loans. I heard with private if something happens to you it goes to your kids or something that’s crazy!

yes student debt is real! If you are looking to make a lot of money - I think there are several better ways to do it compared to becoming a dentist. Dentistry is difficult and stressful!

@@doctoravi Respectfully, why do healthcare workers act like money has zero effect on your job choice? Because I’m worried about providing for my family and not being ate alive by debt I should consider something different? I don’t care how much of a calling healthcare is IT IS A JOB.

@@bluethunder9102 Money has a lot of effect on job choice. What I am saying is that the reality of dentistry today is very different than what it used to be. In my opinion It requires a lot more work, time and creativity to be successful as a dentist compared to years past. Which is why I was saying - you have to reallllllly want everything that comes with dentistry and be able to find passion in it if you want to do it. Financial stress is a real obstacle for dentists. That's why I said there are other and easier ways to make money and provide for your family for a fraction of the cost of being a dentist.
