This is literally why the Presidential limo is literally nicknamed "The Beast", it is both literally and figuratively built like a tank, but this comes at a cost because all that armor makes it so heavy that it has to be built on a heavy-duty truck chassis in order to not crack under the weight.

They also have some of the best drivers in the world driving them because they need to be able to drive that thing at high speed around corners and may have to do a 180 in order to escape any potential attack. Can't imagine how hard it is to do a 180 in a limo that weighs as much as this on while doing 100 mph.
@@snerdterguson Yeah, iirc they use 6.6L Duramax turbo diesels as the powerplant for these beasts because a gasoline engine would probably struggle to move that much weight, whereas that's not a problem for a diesel because they have considerably more torque because of their design, so they can handle heavy loads with ease.

It effectively was like driving it off a cliff and falling the full elevation (whatever the ramp end height is) into the earth (post-slope landing area). If it had landed on the slope, it would have looked more like the others. None of the rust buckets could achieve enough speed for drag car flight comparison.

They performed equally well. Both are GM B-body cars so they are structurally identical. A "restomod" is an old car with a modern engine, transmission, suspension and a bunch of other newer stuff. Newer cars are safer than older cars. That statement is not up for debate.
