Capcom did confirmed that Luke for now will be new main protagonist of the Streetfighter brand to fit the younger generation of SF Fans, but he is somehow connected to Ryu in some form. I won't be surprised he has dark hadou and he possibly a relative of Ryu.
@@isrealgolden1913 , honestly, if anyone should become his, meaning Ryu's, successor, then it should be Sakura, hands down. I have nothing against Sean, or even Luke, but Sakura is pretty much the lead disciple of Ryu, that is, if he were to have one, anyway. Moreover, Sakura also already has experience headlining her own spinoff series in the Rival Schools games, so Luke should not be the face of the series, and, if anyone should lead the series, then instead of making just one lead character of the series, then there should be two people that are the new faces of the series, and it should be Sakura AND Luke together. Moreover, I also feel like Luke would be learning his own style from both Ken AND Ryu, though he sees Ken more frequently because, well, Ken lives closer to him than Ryu does and Ken is his possibly a relative of his, so maybe have it where Luke is a cousin of Ken and that Sakura and Luke are like pen pals that became lovers over time due to certain events that happened behind the scenes in the Street Fighter Universe.
Ken has too many attachments to focus purely on fighting, that's why Akuma doesn't bother with him. Unlike Sagat, Ken has defeated Ryu multiple times before
@@mareo187 the reason ppl say that is because ken has shown to have more potential if he focused on fighting. if anything, he's pushed the martial art further than ryu all the while focusing on other things.
In sf cartoon, on USA network cable. Akuma did target Ken, and it was a good story line. They showed they differences between them. I suggest given it a look.
The street fighter series has a nice long run street fighter 6 should have a nice wrap up with the characters we grew up with, and maybe have a reboot a long time to come with characters trained under the OG’s sounds like a stretch but it would be nice
I think the of era is near , I can see Ken's son will take own his father's legacy but for Ryu he doesn't have anyone from his blood line will take his legacy 🥲💔 ( hope Capcom look into this)
Ryu will eventually become a grandmaster (like his own master Gouken) and take in a "special" pupil...that pupil will then take the torch. Maybe Sakura?
20:22 Man, Necalli was wasted, his story could of had so much potential for Ryu and Ken to find a new level of power 😑 oh well. The story between these two over the years has had some highs and lows but overall still solid. Now that they are the older guys, I want to see them guiding the new characters for the future and being the goal post they want to achieve
Well, I believe Ryu and Ken are following different paths to power. Ryu while training with Oro, will learn how to combine The Power of Nothingness with Senjustu techniques. On the other hand, Ken could seek out Rose for additional training and learn how to combine The Power of Nothingness with Soul Power. These guys could work together to defeat JP during the events of Street Fighter 6. They must continue facing tough adversaries that push them to greater heights of skill and power.
Surprised that the video didn't mention the fact that Ken and Ryu are the only two character to ever be in every single Street Fighter game. With that said, I believe that Ken deserves a bigger spot light, they did it right with SF4 having Ken and Ryu spar in the trailers but since then it's been only Ryu.
they need to make another movie in the style of the alpha movie. You also did not mention why its an end of an era when they are barely honing their skills. I hate the fact that 3rd strike is actually after 4 and 5. Makes no sense why they do this instead of moving forward with the story. Looks like this series also cant find a way to kill off characters lol, bison came back and goken. But if it wasnt for this video i would not know the story. But yeah they need to make another movie in the older styles, these new styles are to pretty looking for my taste.
if ken was just more honest with himself he would not be in that situation. Ryu is in the right place in pursuit of getting stronger, i guess Chun-Li is the only one who has balance she is now a mother, a teacher at her own dojo and still interpol officer.
We've all seen that happen across Tekken, Mortal Kombat, KOF - new characters come and go but you cant run none of these games without their signature faces, so these type of contact is really a waste of time.

Luke is a nope to me. Like other fighting game make who thought this was an idea will kill the series.
I thought they were smugglers… well that’s what the film portrayed them as 😂
ken needs to grow up and raise his family
He needs to take Guile's advice lol
Hola love your videos now without further hadoo! Street Fighter Verse. You win...Perfect!🌟✨💯
Yay! Thank you!
I'm surprise Akuma don't target Ken since he's more willing to tap into the Dark Hado due to him never can beat Ryu similar to Sagat.
Ken has too many attachments to focus purely on fighting, that's why Akuma doesn't bother with him. Unlike Sagat, Ken has defeated Ryu multiple times before
Ken doesn't have the ability to tap into dark hadou, he does can transform into Violent Ken with the help from Psycho Power by the abuse from Byson.
@@isrealgolden1913 thats not canon in capcom lore
@@19zach75 or Sean
@@ramonantoniodejuanbennett6239Or Mel, perhaps?
Sakura? 😂
or maybe ryu finally gets a hard on for something other than the hado and blows sakuras back out and they conceive an actual blood replacement
Don't you mean without further ado-ken
i been playing 6 beta i like it deffo getting it and thanks for the history lesson :)
Great video
Thanks for the visit
They got demoted because military are promoting characters that join Guile in the air force or army
We need a new game with SF4 graphics / art style
loved sf4
Street fighter where fighting solves everything.
Is it just me or did M.Bison's face seems to showcase that of Raul Julia after Street Fighter 2?
I'm looking forward to Street Fighter 6.
yes !! cant wait !!
@@TheFighterVerse Me neither. :)
Why was the video titled an end of an era? I thought someone was getting retired by the sound of it 😋
Now ryu has become a real master of his fist
We've all seen that happen across Tekken, Mortal Kombat, KOF - new characters come and go but you cant run none of these games without their signature faces, so these type of contact is really a waste of time.
This video should have more likes
Hope Ryun and ken reunite and add tag team function.
I can see ryus kid be trained in the future with Ken's son
How did you decide what was canon and what was not? Was that all from the games or from anime as well?
NewYork to Oakland? should had sign of Street Fighter every place in OAKLAND ...
So the evil fist of Akuma and Ryu can sink an island? Fascinating.
