Many things could affect the # such as what day of her heat she got pregnant and other factors of the health of each parents. Good Luck!!! Please let me know how many she has and how they are! :)

I have a Shih Tzu Poodle mix. or Shih Poo and shes a little love. She sleeps, likes your lap every once in a while and only requires about 30 minutes of play time. But Shih Tzu's are smart so they learn fast. Only took my little girl a few months to get potty trained.
Very minimal really, I just got a Shih Tzu for my girlfriend. Got him a puppy package from the vet for $70. Month worth of puppy food for $25. And some very cheap toys from the local dollar stores. Put bits of pineapple in her food. When it comes out the other way it smells disgusting to them. Pup won't even venture near the poop much less eat it. Good luck.
Just curious but my shih tzu boo has a really disgusting Habit of eating poop anyone know how to prevent this? Cause there's time when I'm out she's eating it
Not much you can do about eating poop besides catch her in the act and scold her for it. I work at a dog day camp and thats what we are suppose to do if a dog looks like they are going to eat there own poop. They have bitter apple stuff you can spray on things to prevent dogs from chewing molding and such dont know if that is an option for you but its a thought.

When shih tzus are born they look fat and have small legs but when they grow up it sheds and the become normal ( I have a shih tzu)
