I legit love Ethan for that. Protagonists like Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy, who are trained for situations like these, are fine by themselves, but Ethan has that trait where he's like "WTF is going on what is this I DIDN'T ASK FOR THIS PLS HELP ME" and you're like "same". It makes him realistic in a unique way and I love that!
