Let’s appreciate that MK said it took him a long time to question his ancestry. I think it speaks volumes about how much Pigsy loves him and raised him. Even if it’s being questioned now and he feels alone, MK still has an unconditional family unit.
This just makes me sad for Mei and Pigsy, the former gets to experience how MK felt when she left abruptly last season, and the latter hearing his adoptive son say he has no family. Why did they make the best season also the saddest?
The first season of Monkey Kid started as a fun, edgy breath of fresh air action-comedy then later in seasons 2, 3, and now 4 this show just keeps getting more serious and more emotional, I hope they're making a four-part special and airing it before summer or late spring.

you know this felt natural, this to me didn't feel like it was a forced "oh they break up only to unite stronger then ever" trope, his got some genuine and valid questions, and his genuinely wondering who he is or where he came from, and i'm fairly sure his around that age too where most people in life start to wonder that, only it might be worse for him since he doesn't quite know where he came from in this point in the story.
What makes this sadder is that Mei looked the same way to MK as MK did to Mei after they both flew away. And when MK said he doesn't have family...look at Pigsy...
This scene always makes me so sad man 😭 The thought that MK probably knows what he truly is especially after everything that happened with the scroll but he just refuses to believe it is heartbreaking, and if the scrolls curse is right in that MK is gonna be a 'harbinger of chaos' if he hurts Pigsy, Mei, Wukong or anyone else on accident I'm going to genuinely cry especially cause he's definitely needed to for a while now, he deserves the biggest hug from everyone in the next special and a healthy dose of therapy and crying.
I get he’s upset. But he isn’t at fault about what happened. Just like he wasn’t at fault when Bull King, Spider Queen or Lady Bone Demon attacked the city. Someone should have told him that from the beginning.

I'm not faulting Wukong for this. For the most part, he's been a great mentor.

"Mistakes happen, but so long as you leave the world in a better state than when you found it, then it's all good," once all that criteria is met, Wukong feels comfortable moving on. MK on the other hand doesn't quite see it that way, and he's at a point that he's scared to even get involved unless he causes something else to come along. Im not exactly sure what exactly you're referring to, like do you mean their negative feelings in general or their feelings of guilt specifically? I'm slow, could you clarify a bit please?

The fact they used the same animation from the monkie kid 101 speech from season 3, look I don't mind if animation repeats because it's hard also to cut costs. Anyway it makes it like a real anime.but Jesse that voice acting from jack is amazing all of them do a good job

Poor Monkey man, some mistakes have been caused by some people, even me. We’ve all learned from some mistakes we made and get over them. He has to learn to let his trauma go. Besides, not all of those incidents were on him technically. The Demon Bull King was freed thanks to Red Son, Spider Queen’s reign was on Lady Bone Demon, and before that DBK freed LBD with that skeleton key. So MK just doesn’t know those weren’t on him apparently.
MK please you gotta stop being relatable because that means you're going to undergo a character arc where you have a rough patch and no one wants to see you suffer please I beg you.

Wukong literally taught him his worst traits and gave him trust issues. And "go in alone" hero martyrdom. To be clear, I adore Wukong he's my fav. And he clearly adores MK. But the man is a mess who tramatizes everyone he touches. Leaving behind a trail of broken hearts and lives at every turn. Wukong's trust issues makes perfect sense. His last friend group kept him in what was basically a magical shock collar for 14 years and had him carry them. And all but slaughter his previous friend group himself. Fr, Macaque needs to shadow portal both of them into a therapist's office. Fighting DBK, spider queen the lady bone demon isn't what's traumatizing MK. That part is fun for him. But Being lied to someone he cares about and looks up too and being constantly given a cold shoulder and constantly feeling alone is what's doing the damage. I love this show so much.
